Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2
phil bottle replied to phil bottle's topic in RPG / Action / Adventure
Yep, totally agree. I have read that the previous team working on it had been making it more like the original but when the Chinese Room devs took it over they got rid of all that simply so they could put their own mark on it. What a shame. -

Probably would've been easier if they just remastered the first. -

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2
phil bottle replied to phil bottle's topic in RPG / Action / Adventure
I've watched several reviews now and sadly this has gone from a day one purchase to maybe when deeply discounted in a sale, which is a shame. Seems its more an action adventure than a RPG. What a pity. At least my modded standalone version of the original is still playable. Modern RPG-wise I may finally pick up Dragons Dogma 2 but will see. -

I don't know why they have to tamper with stuff that doesn't need it but things that do they don't do sod all Battlefield 6 is already walking back its Conquest changes after immediate backlash, but it's still not what we were really asking for | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM That's not quite the solution I expected.

Fascinating look at Microsoft's doomed 2013 Xbox One reveal and how it essentially destroyed the brand for the foreseeable. It retrospect, it's truly astonishing how they managed to screw it up so badly.

There's been a small update today. I'm massively addicted to Tarkov at the moment but I'll be back on this soon. The single player is definitely in the style of a COD campaign, i feel I'm being rushed through it, rather than going at a pace of my own choosing. The story is kind of similar to BF3. Not great but not awful.

Retro means terrible cable management 🤪 I'd say my favourite retro console is the SNES, although the Commodore 64 runs it close with games like Way of the Exploding Fist, Impossible Mission, Spy v Spy, Bruce Lee and so many other classics. Nice collection man 🙂 -

This is the game Call of Duty should have been in the past 3 years. As a Battlefield game, it's lost too much of its core DNA. It's still a good shooter that both COD and BF can enjoy but it really has blurred the lines and so many of these shooters have lost their identity for money and mass appeal. Once the honeymoon phase fizzles out the lack of content begins to burn here then I think the game will become more strained and people will be less forgiving. We also must not forget that the monetisation framework hasn't kicked in as of yet but that could put a further dampener on things. Some people are already peeved at how similar to COD certain aspects are particularly with unlocks and cosmetics. EA and DICE have succeeded in what they intended to do though and I feel COD players will be more happy with this game than Battlefield veterans.

I get that but regardless he's not wrong we pay more money for less things, things that made the series great. I also think these days we've been given so many crap products we are happy with things being mediocre. It's a shame that as a franchise, much like CoD it's best years and games are behind it.
