Well they aren't putting much effort into it. The modes that was available were Nuketown and hijack which we have been playing for decades. Then a moshpit. Nothing to get new players excited about. I know that they said in 2027 there will be no Zombies and it's a sledgehammer game. Neither of those will excite customers (advance warfare, WWII, Vanguard were not that good). So I don't see how they turn this around except by re-releasing the original MWII along with what ever crap they release and everyone will be playing MWII instead.

I saw the game had a free trial and was discounted but I just couldn't be bothered to go through the download just to try it. Even free and in the sale, the player count on PC dropped between 48,000 and 56k which is insane and this also includes the Warzone numbers. The next game will have to be something special because I have never seen it so unappealing or players so demoralised with it all.

I tried it during the free weekend. I got to level 26 or 27. I think I played 8 matches or so and benefited from double XP. Can't get into it. I think the free weekend was on for 4 days. After 3 matches I had enough each of the days that I played. Was doing Ok. Not great but OK. Nothing about it calls out the me.

After saying that I thought we'd go straight back down based on our form, we've managed to turn it around. All down to Farke changing to a formation that suits us better. We've only lost one of our last 5 games and we massively outplayed Chelsea and have just battered Palace. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is turning out to be the signing of the summer for us. If we can keep the majority of our players fit then I now think we'll stay up and we may actually finish mid table.

Just got the 8bitdo stick for my pc and a bunch of fighting games, feels like im back in the golden age of fighting games on the dreamcast again!

I liked the looks of this but then I was a big fan of Cyberpunk and I enjoyed Ascent ^_^

I believe they're giving all players a gift of one thousand raider tokens too, which is nice.

It's made by Neon Giant, a relatively new game developer. The only one they've made before (at least as far as i"m aware) is The Ascent. Which was a pretty decent game but in a different style (top down sort of) which i played via Xbox GamePass when it came out (I also have my own copy on Steam).

Most of these big announcements at the game awards are typically premature but I trust Larian as they have a track record of doing the business. The new Fate of the Republic Star Wars game on the other hand likely wont arrive until 2029-30 and we are still waiting for the first update to Elder Scrolls 6 which was shamefully announced and never mentioned again way back in 2018. I pretty much just ignore CGI trailers and just leave these games on the backburner though.

PUBG has really gone to shit in recent years. The only players left are pretty much all cheaters and the vast majority are from China. Was a really promising game about 7-8 years ago but as soon as they went to China and flogged the IP before it even launched out of early access, it was a total mess. This game wont improve things that's for sure. The whole brand is totally unrecognisable and it'll eventually die just like H1Z1 did with a dreadful reputation.

I thought it a bit strange to announce this to be honest, it didn't really tell you anything about the game other than it's set in the same Divinity world we have seen up to now presumably. It didn't tell us the style of game, is it a Witcher / Elder Scrolls style game or in the same vain of Divinity original sin or Baldurs Gate. It was just a cinematic which could have come from anything really.

I'm just about to enter Prestige 2 and I'm still really enjoying this game. It's easily the most I've enjoyed COD for a long time. The open matchmaking is definitely the reason why.

Had a chance to play a demo/alpha of this over the weekend but after watching a few people play it, I didn't bother. Lots of reasons but the biggest I could see was the gunplay was horrible with ridiculous recoil. And also it was quite obvious thete was rampant cheating, right from the start. Watching Kotton play it on Twitch was eye opening. This chap sums it all up quite well.
