It’s just something for browsing the web, sending emails and photos. Doesn’t need to be anything crazy but something that will last a long time as well. The kids have had theirs for years and seems very durable. Note though, they'll always feel far less responsive than an iPads. Kids use iPads more than the fires at home. I have seen you can get refurbished iPads for around 100 and are easy to use for older generations.
