  1. Was that after professing your love for Doc
  2. Looks like it will be technically strong. It also looks like a zombie apocalypse movie with both sides being the survivors. I see most movies on Pay Per View and rarely go to the theater these days. I'll probably watch it when it comes out.
  3. That’s a rather interesting question. I guess if my gaming interests describe my personality, someone would probably conclude I have ADHD or something. I don’t think I really have a type but I would say that I mostly like the story telling aspect of a game. What I really look for is a good quality product that well put together (so I find it hard to explain why I play BF4 so much). Skyrim as far as I am concern is probably one of the best games out there because it. Having the main quest is great, but you can basically play that thing for years without even being on that main quest. Mass effect is another favorite of mine. Again it has some of the same aspects. I didn’t however like Borderlands2. I found it rather immature and childish. I played Crisis 3 and Lara Croft. I didn’t complete those games because after a while it just got so repetitive and didn’t see a point. Might be the reason why I can’t play any CoD for more than 30 minutes anymore. I thing I have also noticed is that I seem to like games where I can jump in and play for 30 minutes or 5 hours straight and it doesn’t diminish the experience. I tend to have a very interrupt driven life based on family and work obligations so being able to play a game to relax is something I do.
  4. Every I look at pics from this game, I can't help but think they'll be trying to sell us skins that look like the Joker from the Darkknight I'm not sure if that is good or bad
  5. it would also explain the skirt thing
  6. That's funny but I don't know how they can charge him with anything. He's in his "home" with the door locked. Enter at your own risk at that point? For some reason I had anticipated someone ridding a bike without a seat
  7. Companies love when you finance because like Doc said they get extra money. 10% extra compounded over 4 years means you paid approximately an extra 30% for the car that you didn't have too. So it's a much better deal for them. The best way to approach it (around her in Canada anyways), is to go to the dealership and negotiate the prices as if you are going to finance it. I Canada they are not allowed to change the prices based on you financing/not financing. Once you have a really good price, they change you financing options. Even if it's paying cash. Chances are you'll get a better price doing that because 1) they expect to profit from financing 2) they figure you can afford more because you are paying cash and therefore have the money I usually discuss the trade along with the car price. Mostly because the can profit from selling that car. There should be sites and information telling you what the car is worth and what they can sell it for. In Canada you are not taxed on the portion of the price for which you have a trade in so you may need to factor that in. So for example if they give 5000 pounds for your car you would be taxed on 8668 and not 13668 which can make a big difference. Here the taxes are 13% so that's an additional savings of 650.
  8. All the stuff you need is basically loot, Most comes from defeating bosses. Some is only available if you have a clan. There is a cost to having a clan which is kinda cool. You have to pool your resources to have one and build a headquarter and shit. No monetary cost as far as I know. it's free and it's already better than ghost
  9. Kind of due to the lack of games that interest me. Hopefully by fall things pick up. There some good games coming.
  10. It's the standard edition. The premium edition has all the add-ons. It's still every good game for free. I have it on the PC and lots of people still play it.
  11. You can buy it every second year. Hopefully this will improve the game reliability by having 2 studios although that didn't exactly work for CoD. I don't about Police. That looks like TDM only DOM . Tanks and attack choppers make no sense in a police/city setting. The criminals wouldn't realistically have them. I don't see Huge 32x32 maps making too much sense there as well which means it's not that great for next gen consoles However it might make for new interesting game modes.
  12. We don't have memorial day in Canada. We have rememberance day on the 11th of November. We usually go to the War memorial which is downtown Ottawa where they have the Veteran parade, key people laying flowers in rememberance of the past veterans. The best part is seeing the old Vets parade at 70/80 years old like pros We don't even get a day off which is sad since you cannot pay proper respect to those vets
  13. Yep. The last episode from last year, will allow you to jump into this year and be ok I didn't like the season finally that much. Seemed routine.
  14. Who's the pussy now ...... Bitch
  15. 2nd best selling in the USA. The global picture is a bit different http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/41756/Global/ Also people who have 360s tend to be americans and for the most part younger so I would say it's young people jumping on the CoD bandwagon. If you look at those global sales number both the X360 and PS3 have sold close to 8M copies, however I usually can find about 40K people in the playlist. I also noticed that gamestop and some other stores around here (in Canada) are bundling Ghost with the purchase of a console so I wonder if that could part of it.
  16. The game was too repetitive for me. Raid a camp and kill everything. Use the bow or silenced sniper and don't be seen. Kill animals and craft you stuff Climb towers and enable the radar Repeat as necessary I also didn't like the supernatural boss fights much either. I thought those were just stupid I found the co-op game fun. Unfortunately there weren't many people playing it. The multiplayer didn't work much which was unfortunate. They had some cool maps.
  17. He might be. One of the bad guys in Far Cry 3 (Buck I think), was a gay rapist.
  18. I don't know what patents those could be. However Xerox did try to sue apple and they lost. Apple had given them 1M in stock to be allowed to visit their facilities and use mutually agreed technology. Apple has a $500B market cap with $160B in the bank. IBM has a $180B market cap. I don't think they want to take a fight to someone who can almost buy them out cash. Apple can outlast IBM in any legal fight. I've dealt with Nokia on a professional level. Based on the decisions I have seen them make, it does not surprise me that they are in the situation they are in.
  19. That would probably be wrong. Steve Jobs went to the Xerox Palo Alto R&D facility and was memorized by the Mouse and Windows. Both were invented by Xerox who said they had no need for it since the could not use it on their copiers. He was told he could use it. Meanwhile MS got a contract from IBM to develop an operating system for their PC. This happen after talks with DEC failed. DEC had the CP/M operating system which worked on 8080 and 8086 (cpu used in the first PCs). MS emulated many of the functions from CP/M and some of them still remain today. Apple saw a lot of success with their windows stuff and people were liking it, so then MS decided to copy Apple. Like I said, Gates wasn't original but at least he could run and market a business. The current management can't even do that. Xbox isn't exactly new either. The were loads of gaming consoles before they decided they would have one. A lot of what we do see today in computers however was technology that Xerox chose not to deploy because they didn't want to hurt their copier business. Who ever made that choice is probably one of the guys running MS They wouldn't be the first knuckle heads from a large company to do something like that only to regret it later.
  20. I agree with what you said but MS' problems are even bigger than that. The need a complete overall and the board of directors demanded it, however now everyone is playing a conservative game to try to save their jobs instead of taking risk and have a remote chance to shine - Windows 8 was a dud that no one wanted. They had to back track on that product a lot and introduce 8.1. I work for a $3B company and half of our staff is Software developers. We refuse to support Win 8. We had also refuse to support Vista - MS went into the tablet market and produced a dance video. Talk about a product that crashed and burned. No one buys or want that product. That was just jumping onto the Apple and Samsung band wagon. It didn't work for RIM either. - MS did a mobile operating system and went into the smart phone business. Another disaster. Their market share is less than 2%. Google and apple continue to eat their lunch. Even RIM as more market share as they are headed towards bankruptcy. Jumping on the band wagon again however. - MS decided they would do a retail store similar the Apple store. It's got to be pretty embarrassing to have those store with not customers in them at all. Jumped on the band wagon their too. That a classic example of a large company with inertia that just doesn't know how to change direction in order to make itself successful again. Gates wasn't particularly creative but he knew how to successfully run a business. It doesn't seem like MS has that level of talent. Right now they just seem to copy some of their or their competitors old ideas which is a disaster once someone comes around with something innovative.
  21. We've hear you say " we all want a PS4" and we are tired of getting our asses kicked every time new sales figures come out
  22. When I played this game I kind of liked it. It was called Crisis 3 at the time, but it still pretty good
  23. Ghost is 2,164,383 vs BF4 1,771,668 on the PS4 I don't have pro so I cannot see the XBONE numbers. The market share for BF4 is however much better than usual vs CoD On VGchartz http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/41756/Global/
  24. Where are you getting your stats? I think what they are saying is Ghost is the best selling game on next gen and they combine both the XBONE and the PS4. Infamous sold a total of 1,837,473 copies total Titanfall sold at total of 1,633,123 copies total Ghost sold a total of 2,164,283 copies total of the PS4 according to VGCharts http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/41756/Global/%C2'> I don't pay for pro so I don't know what it is for the XBONE but if you combine the two I wouldn't be surprised if it had the highest number of sales "For the Next Generation Consoles". It is marketing and Activition is doing what it can to put a spin on the relatively mediocre sales for their main franchises to their share holders. If you look at their stock reports WoW and CoD sales a down (a lot, but not as bad as forcasted) so they want to positive spin on things. The results are not surprising to me. People who rushed to buy the consoles are the hard core gamers and if you look here the vast majority of people playing on next gen are all playing BF4 or Cod.
  25. Well at least they aren't pulling a BF4 and delivering something that doesn't work for a given platform
