  1. My 2 cents worth here is that when you offer a government service to people, you do not get to pick and chose who you offer it to when those people are legally entitle to it. That's her job. Just like she would not get to refuse a marriage license to people having a different religion to her own or any other personal "morality" judgment.
  2. Hi, Here's my caveat, Everything that I will be mentioning involves the Canadian Heath care system so I can't say with 100% confidence that any of this would be the same for you. I've had PT a number of times for different injuries. They include back, neck, wrist and ankle. I did PT because my Physician prescribed it. PT is not covered in Canada by the health care system but most employee insurance program cover it. Our running rate is about $60 for 1/2 an hour per injury spot. $80 for more than 1 Injury spot I found that PT is much like a Chiro. They most likely will use electrical current on the muscles to loosen things up, then massage you and then give you a number of exercises to do at home to get better. You'll probably feel fantastic after your sessions but it's almost like a crack or heroin addiction because after you stop you probably will be in pain again. Then need to go to PT to feel better. The positive aspect is getting the exercises that help with the problem area. And getting a number of them, then do those on your own. You should be able to get that done in about 3 sessions. My 19 year old son, my 53 year old wife and my 17 year old daughter all did PT for injuries as well and pretty had the same results. All injuries have been sports related also. One thing that did work marvelously for me and my wife however is Laser Therapy Here is a link http://www.canadianchiropractor.ca/techniques/laser-therapy-a-guide-for-chiropractors-1001 It is usually done my Chiropractors around here. They claim they make is that it actually repairs the cells and tissue. I've had it on my neck and wrist. My wife has had it on her back. I haven't had pain or problems in those areas for 2 years since I did the treatment. The doctors wanted to surgically repair my wrist after seeing the MRIs but Lasers able to fix the damaged tendons and give me mobility back. I can even do weight and Karate again. The cost is about the same as PT, I needed about 10 treatments, which was covered by my private insurance. All you need to do is lie there and the machine does the rest It might be worth looking at. I had nothing vested in that type of treatment. All I can tell you is that it worked for 2 50 year olds and apparently the methods are used by pro athletes for recovery.
  3. Might want to look at the samsung tab4 in that range. It's an Android base tablet and I got one for free when I signed up for a business bank account It's really not great as far as tablets go, but I think it's in your price range. I can do everything I need but I find it rather slow compared to our iPAD As far as what you should look for, at her age I would think something that has a lot of storage for the apps she wants and a good touch screen I don't think the screen resolution, speed, camera quality is quite as important I would recommend an iPAD mini personally but that's probably going to run you around $300 Pat
  4. The more I see the more concern I get. I'm going to wait after release for this one Also with DICE's execution issues I'm glad they are doing a beta but still a bit reluctant
  5. Uhm, How does that work for parties and friends?
  6. 3 days 21 hours total
  7. I might get it and get back into Destiny
  8. Wonder how he expected to evade the police after filming himself doing it and posting about on the web?
  9. "So I'm going to kill her and him because she made racist comments and then kill myself." Obviously the guy wasn't all there. It's another tragedy where a nut job is able to get his hand on a gun and do some damage for dumb ass reasons
  10. I still run 7 on most of my PCs. My daughter installed 10 on her laptop and says she likes it. I'm not sure if all "older" programs are compatible with it but its worth a try if you don't have to pay for it. I believe there is a revert back option with the upgrade
  11. That's what I had original suspected. I think you had driver or software conflicts in there somewhere. Actually we know you do because of that rapr_ep64 issue. Re-installing everything get rid of shit that didn't get uninstalled or over written when you put something new on. Also since you have a pirated windows version you do not get automatic updates which some of those drivers might be depending on when they are updated. Keep testing you hardware and be wary of some of the freeware shit that people download. Some has Malware introduced to it. For example they slow down your machine purposely just so that they can get you to pay to speed it up. I think you hardware is fine. Hardware failures usually don't behave that way. That was a performance issue.
  12. So a bunch of you guys are planing to play on with Destiny then? I'm thinking of perhaps getting back into it assuming enough people play, I'm really far behind however.
  13. Just curious what exactly did the trick? I had a number of recommendations in there Pat
  14. When did this start happening? Immediately after you installed windows or after installing other software? There seems to be instructions to download the file here http://systemexplorer.net/file-database/file/raptr_ep64-exe The file seems to be used for games and other video software Have a look here http://www.freefixer.com/library/file/raptr_ep64.exe-142890/ You can try the clean boot they document here to see if it helps https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135 It would 1) look for the raptr_ep64.exe file to see if it is there 2) if it is there, rename it to something else (so that it doesn't run) and see what happens 3) if it is not there install it, the problem might be due to it being missing 4) Do those with you internet being setup on the machine. Some of the problems seem to be due to the lact of an internet connection Pat
  15. It could be fun. BoarderLands for example lets you do the campaign solo or with friends. FarCry 3 had a co-op that I enjoyed. ME3 co-op is pretty awesome I found the most recent CoD campaigns not even worth playing so it might bring some life back into that part of the game
  16. I couldn't really see anything much in the image. I don't know if others will either. I personally use as little of the MS utilities in Win as I can. I use mostly chrome. I often do searches in the incognito window so I don't know if that would still be a problem
  17. It's pretty simple. The mechanics are very basic but you still need some strategy to play well. It might be an ideal thing for you when you are at work. It runs on a pretty basic machine and your account works on all platforms so it doesn't matter what you are playing on
  18. Friend request sent I like the game. It made me consider picking up magic again and I decided to stick with this one. I play on the Mac, PC and iPhone. All of them are basically the same. It's a bit hard to see everything on the iPhone I find. I think if you want to be competitive however, you have to be ready to invest money in the game. Otherwise you have to be very patient and get your gold doing quests which can take a while without the better cards
  19. I don't why you guys enjoy making fun of yet another brave and bold future Lion Hunter.
  20. Two guys with that as a favourite number. Trying not to judge ....
  21. It has flame throwers? I need to get a Jag
  22. I wouldn't mind having one of those cars
  23. It's a bit of a sad read but here's the advice I an offer. Don't know what you know about me, here a short description - I'm 50 years old , happily married, I have a 18 year old son and a 17 year old daughter - I'm and PhD in Electrical engineering and I run my own consulting company I met my wife through a professional introduction service. I wasn't particularly shy but I just didn't have the time or the will to go do the bar scene and waste my time with women that were not going to be compatible. It's probably the best money I ever spent. I met a number of women through the service. Some became friends. I also found my wife. Since you seem to be introverted try to use a similar service and find someone slightly extroverted. If she has friends, you now have friends. You might even make friends with their boyfriends/husbands When people invite you to go for a drink, go. You don't have to drink alcohol. Hell you might even volunteer to be the designated driver since you don't drink. Don't know about the UK, but that means free drinks in a lot of bars in Ottawa. It might also make you popular if you don't mind driving the other drunks around. It also makes you look responsible which might attract some of the ladies.
  24. Might want to check to see if your disk is still under warranty here http://wdsupport.wdc.com/warranty/warrantycheck.asp?custtype=end I think it depends how it was purchased but the Blues can have up to 3 year warranties
