  3. Happy Sunday people Haevn't done one of these for a while so thought it would be good to do one. This one will be brief this time round, as I think it's been a quieter month in general. We've had half a dozen newbies to the place, only seen a few say hi though which we should always encourage so we can all get to know you and vice versa. I haven't had much time around work to organise some game nights like we usually do - I equally believe that the Destiny saga followed by a lack of MP games that haven't offered much in grouping up and 'fun' equal to a month where we focus on other things a little more. We've still got the 2018 plans up so on the radar is working out a charity date for a 24 hour stream. From today we'll try and make some game events so it may help stem some grouping up and certain things. However, i'm more interested to know how you're year has started - been a busy one? How should we inject some fun around the place? What different things should we all try? I've seen a few posts and threads on a similar theme so let's get some talking going and understand what the score is from a gaming and personal fronts. As always, love hearing what you've got to say. Keep fighting the FG fight y'all. Lee
  4. Bloody pikeys! I'll try and get on little by little as we go on, then I might set a trap for them to tell them to keep their distance [emoji6] Via the FG App
  5. It's a start but I really need to think about how I exactly I want my house to look like! If I'm honest I don't trust Dax on our server mate, he also loves creative because he can do whatever he likes. He loves mainly killing sheep and blowing shit up. He did teach me how to do some awesome traps yesterday though! Maybe one day he can come on [emoji106] Great shout, thanks Greboth. As Mike said in the general event thread he started, tonight we'll make some events for the rest of the week and see how it pans out, this game included. Via the FG App

  7. A Sombra early PTR change snook in to the latest patch but has since been removed. However, now we know some of the info related to the next change to her as well as a small change to Mei: Sombra The plan is to bring down the power of Sombra’s ult while making the rest of her abilities more widely useful. No longer gains ult from health pack healing Weapon Spread decreased by 10% Hacking speed increased from 0.8s to 0.65s Hacking will disable more abilities. Basically any ability that requires a button press will also be disabled. Here is a list: Genji - Double Jump/Wall Climb Pharah - Hover Jets Hanzo - Wall Climb Lucio - currently running Crossfade song will be disabled Fucking Hot Healing Chick! - Angelic Descent Mei Balance change to see ammo cost for her icicle shot reduced from 25 to 20 I like the thinking of these changes. A good Sombra destoys the opposition with her Ult and its better to have a viable option in 1 on 1 battles outside of ults.
  8. Does anyone know of any good seeds they've used to create Minecraft worlds? Looking at making a few with Dax so looking to keep him entertained for a while.
  9. Raid Prestige is Changing Reason for delay of release is down to this rework. My view is I think as they have an issue with 1) lockout issues related to non-DLC 2) need more reasons for playability Each week they'll be one Prestige raid at random. They will be a curated locked loadout. An example of what it could look like is below Week 1 Raid Activity: Eater of Worlds Modifier: Marksman. Precision damage is increased. Landing a precision shot grants one ammo directly to the magazine. Required Loadout: Kinetic: Hand Cannon Energy: Scout Rifle Power: Linear Fusion Another decent idea but there should be a way to incorporate multiple prestige challenges at once so you have different choices each week. 10. Nightfalls will have 3 parts - Scoring, Challenge Cards and Rewards. Scoring - Scoring is team-based and the sum of individual performances. - A team should be able to focus on what works best, not feeling put out by who stole whose kill. - Scoring is primarily driven by kills and secondarily by orb generation. - Score bleeds over time. We are watching this closely — score decay can feel bad, but all else being equal, a team that clears faster than another team should score higher. Score decay achieves this in the most transparent fashion. - Scoring cuts off after time thresholds. At 15 minutes, new points earned are reduced by 50%. At 18 minutes, you stop earning new points and it’s a race to finish the run and post your score. They want to avoid some of the problems they saw with Prison of Elders, where a “high score” might involve punishing respawning combatants (and yourself) for a few hours until the novelty wore off. A good Nightfall clear shouldn’t feel like a slog. They want it to be a competitive activity but when released it is just scoring. My guess is ranked scoring may come in May. Challenge On top of the above mechanics are Challenge Cards, items that offer ways to boost the challenge in exchange for score multipliers. It looks as like the Challenge Cards will attach to your Ghost slot. Not sure if you can get more than 1 at any one time. Rewards - Scores will be retained on new Nightfall Emblems available as drops in each Nightfall strike. - These emblems (and others like them) are now the source of auras, which are automatically enabled if your personal score is above a global threshold. - Along with the aura, a personal score over the threshold will also unlock a fireteam-wide buff that boosts Vanguard Token drops in that strike by 25%. - As long as one person has the aura, all fireteam regardless of completion will get the buff. - They've also added some further rare variants of these Nightfall Emblems for higher scores. Nothing much is known hoe different these are. My thoughts - Another decent addition. Makes use of wasteful auras. Still needs to be linked to a leaderboard or something else to make worthwhile, most likely in May.
  11. Has anyone been watching the Opynpics so far? It's something I've always liked watching but don't have much knowledge of the sports. Curling is one of my favourites to watch, would love to give it a go.
  12. It just shows how much the player base these days really are into buying microtransactions to make the ridiculous amount they have. Also confirmed Treyarch next CoD for 100% which won't stop the money flowing for sure.
  13. Just Greebs and myself so far fkr tonight. Anyone else around for it?
  14. It always has sounded like it should've been but maybe being free and the lack of instructions won't support a mainstream player who wants an element of spoon-feeding (appreciate phil saying Owl had some posts here - he really does but nothing I can quickly see like an idiots guide but I'll take a look later). Just not too much spoonfed easy content, like D2. Good job I live off PMA hey? [emoji5] I always find being constructive helps rather than just being switched off to the shit that has happened. If you switch off regularly then games will never last as long for you as you may want them to. They need to fix things but so does tons of games. Maybe not to the extent of Destiny needs to, but equally that shows just how much of a following this game has and there are literally millions of people wanting it to get better. I feel many of us seek that game for us all to get involved with. I do too and I think it's alright to be wanting a game to get better rather than ploughing salt at it, cos that doesn't solve our lack of MMO type-game problem. (Oh, don't worry I won't spend that Bungie cheque too quickly [emoji8]). Via the FG App
  15. Based on Rob's comments I'd say it's not an issue. Always sounds worse than it is but if you can get it all for free in game then I would very rarely consider a Microtransaction. Shame it just misses instructions. Every now and again when no one is online I flick it on but I find it hard to get into everytime I look at it. I know it's got good content, if there's ever an easy guide to help, please share. Via the FG App
  16. Some clearer updates coming out from the TWAB yesterday. Nightfall scoring and Challenge Cards along with Raid Specific Loadouts that will replace the current Prestige raid system. When i get chance I'll summarise the changes from Bungie. Via the FG App
  17. I like how the design on this one. You might change the structure of the house part to actually be able to use it inside. Via the FG App
  18. Told you I would eventually. We'll set up some game nights at some point soon Dave. Via the FG App
  19. Agreed. Its on the right lines of changes but i think the large majority will wait til DLC 2 in May. Via the FG App
  20. I said I'd try. I bought because of what you said and sometimes we all get stuck on other games. Sometimes you need that reminder and nudge. Via the FG App
  21. This is a really good write up Chad. Will definitely try and put some time aside for this now. Via the FG App
  22. That fucking emote. Might try the game mode as its only out for a week. I'm glad they made the change to strip back pretty much all Eververse loot and make all rewards available in-game.
  23. Crimson Days begins in Destiny 2 on Tuesday, February 13. At the heart of the weeklong event is a 2v2 Crucible playlist intended to get your blood pumping as you and a friend test your bonds to the breaking point. This celebration of teamwork will last one week! The combat scenario is 2v2 Clash with a round-based twist. We will also be debuting The Burnout, a new take on The Burning Shrine set in a future timeline where the Vex have succeeded in altering our reality. The sun is darkened and the only Light to be found comes from you and your partner fighting as one. Stay in close proximity to your partner and your abilities recharge at a faster rate. Stray too far, and your enemies will be given a waypoint leading to your location. If you can’t find a partner, don’t worry. We’ll play matchmaker and find one for you. The Rewards The best way to earn rewards during Crimson Days is to compete in the Crimson Days Crucible playlist, and we’ve tuned the experience to focus on rewarding single-character play. Most rewards are found within a new Crimson Engram, with all contents on a “knock-out” list, preventing you from receiving duplicate items until you’ve earned all of the new gear. No matter which activity you play in Destiny 2 during Crimson Days, every player will receive both an Illuminated Engram and a Crimson Engram when they level up. Crimson Engrams are only earnable through gameplay, and are not capped or limited during the event. To qualify, you need only to reach the level cap for your Guardian (that’s 25 if you’ve acquired Expansion 1; 20 if you haven’t). There are also five new rewards found exclusively for players who complete the following: Complete the milestone “Welcome to Crimson Days” by finishing five Crimson Days matches and visiting Lord Shaxx in the Tower to earn the Fire of the Crimson Days Emblem and the Tirastrella Ghost Shell. Complete matches in the Crimson Days Crucible playlist for a chance to earn the Undeterred Exotic Sparrow. Complete either the Leviathan Raid or the Raid Lair: Eater of Worlds to claim the Dieselpunk Exotic Ornament for Wardcliff Coil from the final chest. Complete the Nightfall Strike during the Crimson Days event to earn the Flaunting Dance Emote. Tirastrella Ghost Shell Undeterred Exotic Sparrow Dieselpunk Exotic Ornament Flaunting Dance Emote Crimson Engrams will only be earnable through gameplay, but if you’re looking to directly purchase a specific item, Tess will also offer a selection of the Crimson Engram contents in exchange for the Bright Dust you are holding. Gear purchased with Bright Dust will also count towards the “knock-out” list mechanic described above, preventing duplicate items unless you have already earned all the rewards. Every reward item obtained from a Crimson Engram can also be dismantled for Bright Dust, including event-specific shaders. Crimson Days will begin next Tuesday, February 13, and conclude on the weekly reset at 9 AM PST on Tuesday, February 20. If you’ve yet to find a dance partner, now is the time. We’ll see you in the arena.
  24. Yeah, sorry man just not near my phone and going to bed in a minute. Thanks for changing it so quickly.
