  1. Looks decent. Very fallout-esque indeed. I'd worry it wouldn't be that engaging though after fast forwarding to the enemies and how they interact with the player.
  2. Genuinely, mean this. What twist would you want to see? Working out all the public events was pretty cool for me and for a long time not soloable. That's good content imo. Don't get me wrong, they ain't perfect and if there was other games that could rival that variation of challenges I'll give it a go. Even I can admit they are lucky that there isn't many games that are just like Destiny. Being shit and taking some time to fix it has worked because other games haven't capitalised on this space. Now it's on the right path, for me its a 'why go away' moment if there's nothing better MP wise.
  3. Why I love you is because you explain why you don't like something. Regardless if I agree or not, I'll always read it. How I look at your response in it's totality is that some things you are quite correct, some things I fundamentally agree with but the crooks of what you say is on point but fundamental parts of ANY game. When a game gets a sequel, it's because people love the first game. You don't all of a sudden go and build a completely different game for a sequel. Otherwise people are unlikely to buy the game if they can't relate to gameplay and recognisable things. Guns in a game are the same where you go. They all shoot bullets. All have fire rates. All have impact stats. When a game starts to grate on people they revert back to things like 'oh it's just a reskin'. Creating variants of weapons or, more specifically, more unique perks because that's what we're talking about here, otherwise I'll call put any gun game and say "How many Assault Rifles look the same and shoot pretty much the same". The above sums up every other element too. Every game has underlying mechanics as its what I look at when I want an openworld game. The enemies in any game will work off an engine that all are connected to. They have 5 races. Within each is variant styles, at least 5 in each. That's 25 different variants of enemies. Not including boss mechanics. I do understand people want more enemies and I think they are listening to that even though that does deviate away from the Story. It's pretty much given imo we'll get a completely new race in Season 7 which are frames. I actually disagree with the Story missions and content being samey completely. Underlying ANY mission in ANY game it has a spine. Start mission Do something. Go somewhere. Kill stuff. Complete Mission. What does Red Dead have for the something? Find something. Kill something. Find and kill something fast or slow. It's what all games have. No missions have been replicated because it's about the setting and story which is different. We take for granted that game development is easy and quick. It isn't. I do agree with the money aspect in the past, I think their model was too heavy on constant spending to keep up with the games power level. That's why them moving towards a business model with a season pass is the right move. One payment for the year. Done. Also, underrated move of the Year was to allow power progression to move with the base player. You don't have to spend money and still play. You get the free update, the Dawning, that is coming which has some cool stuff. That type of thing happens every other month. For 12 months. So imo, they are doing far more for the player base now. I could go on but what we sometimes need to appreciate is the finer things in gaming. Does it feel good to play? Do I have fun? Does it give me cool stuff to use? For me, it does. It's not the best it can be still. For sure. But right now, no other game has the characteristics of this game, on a console. (Don't start on Warframe, it isn't comparable for me as it has a different model). It's the world that I love the most as nothing else looks like it. Last example I'll give is public events were amazingly developed in a live environment and still offer great variety and fun but easily dismissed as nothing. There's over 13 different variations of a public event. And then you can make each heroic in a different way, so really 26 different variations. Personally, I'd rather be doing these types of things, with friends, rather than having a shave, on my own.
  4. The clear thing here is you have to feel like you're invested in Destiny and enjoy where the game is headed. I have absolutely zero problems in spending money because the value I am getting out of the game purely from hours putting in is enough to spend £30 now for the next 365 days. There isn't anything else that is coming out apart from Anthem which I'll try (but looks like a poor man's Destiny) that I need to save my money for. We've all known their business model and you shouldn't buy a Destiny game ever again if you think that model doesn't work for you. However, I think the main problem people are having (general Destiny people, not just ourselves) is that you pay now and You haven't got £30 worth of content straight off the bat. I know though people find that very difficult sometimes to think like that as you mostly expect to know what you're getting when you hand money over. There has always been an element of trust involved with Destiny purchases, and they are feeling the impact of a horrible D2 launch (after the initial first week).
  5. Whilst we were online last night, Bungie had put out a message with immediate effect to change the Power Level requirements. Effective immediately, we’ve made some changes to the Power requirements for the Lost Forges of the Black Armory. In previous conversations about the Season of the Forge, we discussed our new development goals. With the Annual Pass, we set out to deliver an extension to the Destiny 2 endgame. We want to create a series of aspirational challenges to keep your hobby fresh. "Over the past day, we’ve been taking in your feedback. It's become clear that we made the initial Power requirements for the Lost Forges too high, keeping those sweet new rewards out of reach. Some players at 600 Power have been unable to dive in and beat the final boss without grinding for new Power first. We have just delivered a server-side update to reduce the Power requirements for all the encounters in the Lost Forges by five. We fully acknowledge that this is a small move, but it is the one that we can make today. This is not the full extent of the changes to the player experience that we are investigating, but it should give Guardians at 600 Power a better chance at completing the activity. This response doesn’t answer all of your questions. There are still many of you asking how you can catch up and acquire the Power you need to join the quests to recover these Lost Forges. The answers to those questions are coming. We have some existing plans and some new ideas in the pipeline. That conversation will continue tomorrow in “This Week At Bungie.” Thanks for playing. Thanks for your feedback. Keep reporting on your experiences out there in the wild." It's a good quick move after considerable noise on social media. Twitter was painful to read as so many People are quick to forget Forsaken the day before and then hammer them for the initial first day release. It's good to see a change without it being too much that it wrecks it for the other people that are playing this regularly so there can be replayability in it. My summary - Initial feel was that many wanted something 'new' to experience ON day 1. I agree it's nice to play something fresh for your initial outlay. But big point here is people have quickly forgot the months and months of good communication about how this Season Pass will be different to every DLC before it. Let's all remember on other threads, more content is available on Friday. Tomorrow. And then next week. And then the week after. Just like the Dreaming City changed and evolved - which we all loved. You have to get the game you're playing and for this early part to technically cost $10 (less than any other DLC we've had) early signs show we are getting more for our money.

  10. Shame if you both do but I totally understand. Without defending it, they have made strides to make content available for the player that doesn't want to spend any more money. At the same time, we all know the Destiny business model so we all knew there's a cost at some point which most are okay about. They just can't burn people any longer with sub standard new content. They have to build on Forsaken. End of Story.

[emoji41][emoji91][emoji23] I would love to give it a go on an old console but I wouldn't want it to lose its original parts e.g. A sega mega drive still able to use its old cartridges - maybe more of a paint job is in my mind but that's cos I care about playing original elements of retro games, not some random emulator stuck inside somewhere.
  13. I bloody hope it does and I think they'll learn from other large game company mistakes. They're taking a long time to work towards a third in the series and I'd rather they took their time rather than get another half assed game out at launch.
  14. Thanks to Chad @SensaiNemesis and Rob @reaper-2201 for helping me through the Shattered Throne last night. Hadn't been all the way through and was great fun. Nice to have a chilled run and get all the collectables too. Might go after Cursebreaker Seal now! Also, glad Rob got the Duty Bound NF Strike loot on our first go. Was gearing up to do about 20 of them last night so that was handy. Clearly @crispymorgan in the chat brought his lady luck again 😉
  15. I would imagine they won't be too grindy. Essentially now they have a model that content drops each month they know the majority of the population enjoy short quests.
  16. I can understand that. They said content would regularly drop through the year and don't forget that you can still grind power to 650 and have all the rest of the content in Forsaken to do. I'm expecting relatable stuff to drop but we should find that out over the next few days hopefully. Also, the Dawning will be out on December 11th too. That's free as well as the Power Level drops. 😂😂 there's a couple more legendary guns on show in the trailer that popped not long ago They wanted to start giving more opportunity for players to craft and earn what they want and less RNG. The guns on show and others in Black Armory will come as part of some weapon parts that you have to 'reforge'. One thing I am looking forward to more is the quest way of play. I loved the quests in D1 and want more D2 quests to chase after the next step. Looks like we'll get quite a few in the next month.
  17. So how has the first week been online? What's the missions like? Co-operative any good? I want to start picking it up soon but reluctant to get into it straight away otherwise I fear I'll lose all knowledge of other games 😂
  18. What a fight. Fury is fast becoming a person I really enjoy listening to and watching in his fights. The guy absolutely dominated the fight throughout even though he got put on his arse in the 9th and 12th - the 12th most people are saying he had an Undertaker moment getting back up from that hit. Absolutely hilarious with the music. Even better was seeing Wilder's reaction slowly change as Fury gets back up! However, although it was a phenomenal fight that Wilder did his best to stay in, there is NO WAY that was a draw, even after losing a few points for those knockdowns. How the American judge had 115-111 to Wilder is ludicrous. It's the one thing in boxing that is making me switch off from watching most fights these days. Also, seems to only happen in America. What's that about?! Just because the home guy is losing and being taught a lesson, you don't give him a sympathy vote. Disgusting.
  19. Sounds like we'll be getting the news we all were expecting at The Game Awards next week. Randy Pitchford from Gearbox Software put out a few tweets that pretty much sums up we should get an announcement and maybe even a trailer in the coming days I missed out on the start of Borderlands 2 but really enjoyed the style of play and co-operative missions you could do even after a few years of being out. Here's hoping this will be a massive group up game for us all.

  21. This game is looking phenomenal as a remastered version. There is some talk too of a mid-December playable demo which I really hope we get. They've developed more of the cutscenes and story plus you get to explore some new areas, alongside playing Ada Wong and Sherry (the little girl). A few screenshots show how good this is. Old Mister X New Mister X The talking over it a little annoying but still, the gameplay below is quality to see it's not just a port.

  23. They've made a smart move making the Power Level open to everyone that has Forsaken. Probably has gone somewhat under the radar but it means that everyone can still grind up to 650 and make a difference in things like Iron Banner and it will help give an extra but to inexperienced people on the Last Wish Raid. Also, really want to know about the 6 player activity in Season 7. We've needed this since it launched imo. More reasons needed to keep the fireteam together.
  24. This armour looks like some of the best we've had to chase for a long time. I kinda like the Warlock the best with the gold belt.
  25. The Forge is a 3-man matchmade activity. I was really hoping for a different 6-man activity as it doesn't seem that hard to do to increase the amount of players. I'll have to wait until Season 7 for that one. I was worried that it was just a horde mode but it sounds like there are objectives within plus a new Seal (title) to go after called Blacksmith. It could turn into another mode like Gambit which is pretty addictive. Again though, that would've been nice to see it as a 4-man team at least so you could go from one activity to another without disbanding the team.
