I think this game is better than Blackout. It is certainly more enjoyable and accessible. There is also less BS and Respawn really do know what they are doing whilst David Vonderhaar and Treyarch are still debating on what to do with 9-bangs months later with their painfully pitiful update schedule and understanding of feedback. The general pace and the way matches play out is also spot on whereas Blackout games have a lively start, boring mid-game and then a campy finale. In this game you can move around the map at a solid pace and there's always stuff to be looted and people to find even with just 60 players. I don't think the map is as good as Blackout's but it does the job based on the gameplay on offer and doesn't have location/loot hotspots which can leave the action lopsided. The legends also add something rather than just bland character skins. There's plenty to grind and unlock and if people want to put money into this game then I wouldn't blame them as it's a proper F2P format. In Black Ops 4 and Blackout, after you've bought the game, you're expected to want to spend £250-1000 for a character skin you can't even see, emotes you wont use and rubber duck sprays. If Apex Legends can deliver an interesting battle pass, it'll make some good money and keep people engaged. It would be another middle finger to COD with their shameful and pathetic attempt at a battle pass which you paid £1 for empty tiers which was less rewarding than 3 dud supply drops. Nice to see the game doing so well on Twitch growing too. Streamer influence could be key here so I hope they don't go running back to Forknife when Epic bribes them.

I just watched the half time show on YouTube which almost has 800k dislikes and it's quite possibly the weakest musical performance I have ever seen. I really don't know why Maroon 5 are famous when Adam Levine clearly can't sing.

Got my 4th win earlier with a couple of Polish chaps - one of which who was streaming on Twitch. Nice to re-watch it from another perspective of us kicking arse! 17 kills for the team - I only got 4 but that's my best so far and supported them well throughout the match. Prior to that I had a string of horrible matches where I could barely get a kill and getting eliminated very early. I'm liking Bangalore a lot with the smoke and cluster missile and that locked one with the decoy looks interesting.

I just try and use the buzz words that everyone seems to use these days on both sides. I definitely wouldn't use such definitions for people that want to discuss the points in a mature and balanced manner so anyone that is just offended by something for the sake of it or suggests everything is fine in ignorant fashion; I just use the common e-terminology to define them as people like that rarely see sense or are open to a balanced view. In cases like these, both sides go berserk at each other and the central point is never truly talked about, understood or resolved.

It's a bit weird that the triggered people seem more mortified about the racism element than the fact he actively went out into public looking for someone to murder within a period of time and not in a moment of madness. Pretty silly thing for him to say in this fragile society especially when such things is literally a career killer. Ironically, I have heard much worse conduct from people like a minority of rappers and their material is celebrated - probably by the same people who are bitching about this Neeson disclosure. I think a lot of people do have thoughts of violence and racism in moments of fury but most hide them. Probably a lot of the social mob have this mentality for added hypocrisy but they simply hide it even though they manifest and project this inner rage behind their keyboards at home in an attempt to tear someones life apart in a different way. The likes of Chris Brown who beat up Rihanna was able to move on and be successful in music and people easily forgot how Cheryl Tweedy/Cole/Vasini/Payne/Smith/Jones etc.. beat the fuck out of some black toilet attendant in her Girls Aloud days and soon after she was seen as the nations 'sweetheart'. Hopefully this Neeson thing will just blow over and people will move onto the next thing they want to be offended about.

Plus the weapon clips are incredibly small considering how much damage you have to do in relation to the base health and armour variants. AR's seem to have only 20 bullets and SMG's around 18. The fire rate is rapid on all of them so you are constantly reloading and bleeding ammo. These were fine in Titanfall but not in a game like this so they'll either have to up the ammo and clip size or reduce the armour.

3 wins today and quite a few horrible defeats but what a great game this is and I hope the community sticks by it rather than going back to the usual BR games that have been in circulation for a while now. + Solidly smooth mechanics + Great graphics + Well designed interface visually and in terms of functionality + Deploy system is superb + Communication ping system is simple yet ingenious + Legends add something extra than just being a blank character + It's FREE! + Microtransactions don't seem to aggressive and everything can seemingly be earned in-game + Respawn system adds something new + Map is pretty decent - Armour may need toning down - Semi-auto, energy and burst weapons may need bolstering - Progression needs to be developed It's just a great game so far with far less bullshit than the likes of PUBG and especially Blackout. Whilst Treyarch fumble around trying to balance the fundamentals of their bad design decisions and execution; Respawn have created a solid game with their experience that understands what Battle Royale is all about. It's been a great surprise so far and I think the developers will do a good job if EA continue to keep their noses out of it.

Just finished Resident Evil 2 and currently enjoying Apex Legends which nobody knew existed 4 days ago😎

Got my first win - we lost one guy straight away and I almost quit because there was some really bad slow-mo lag for the first 3 minutes but the match ironed itself out and me and this other guy got 9 kills between us. Great fun!

I quite like how they've done the deploy system too - jumping together with a choice of separating is great rather than just blindly jumping and trying to land with your team. They've really done a good job with the teamwork system especially for those that don't play with mics for whatever reason. It's off to a very positive start and nice to see without promotion, EA didn't have a chance to fuck it up😎

Played a handful of matches - mechanics feel fluid as does the interface and the communication ping system is excellent with the middle mouse button. Bullet detection if a bit hit and miss and sometimes it's hard to know who's shooting at you and where from but there is fun to be had. Difficult to say whether it will keep people interested more than a week or two before going back to the usual suspects but there is potential here and some nice new ideas plus great implementations which is rare in a saturated genre like this. Well worth a try.

I signed into Origin and 19.59, refreshed once at 8pm and as soon as it was available, I hit the download before they even announced it was available to play right now😎 Servers are probably in meltdown right now!
