  1. It's sooooooo beautiful maaaaan.
  2. Are they PS4? Via the FG App
  3. So I read the BBC report which said it connected directly to the servers via WIFI. Er, nice one BBC, but I'm not sure that is gonna fly. Honestly the best way to implement this would be a 5G connection to the data centre.
  4. In fact, looking at your original picture you had one?
  5. That's a C19 connector. I can post you one? It must be a fucking powerful supply because they are rated way high.
  6. Pretty sure most PSUs have a voltage switch on them
  7. looks like one has LEDs on the back for lights innit (guessing thats the expensive one?)

  9. £21.99 from cd keys
  10. Have you got the thermal paste? Is this finished? ANSWERS ARE NEEDED!
  11. this or division?????
  12. I'd buy it for the soundtrack alone!
  13. As @Diddums has done a nice write-up of his latest PC antics, I thought I'd bring mine up to date.... My PC was always a little shy of power for the games I wanted to play. Annoying stuttering etc was beginning to get me down, and honestly meant I never really played PC games that much. Al that has now changed. I've moved from the 1050ti to a 1060 6gb and the i3-7100 has been replaced by an unlocked i5 7600k. Looking much better on the performance front. As I bought the unlocked version the stock cooler wasn't going to cut it, so I got a nice little closed loop water cooler. I've also moved all my games and stuff from the mechanical HDD to an NVMe 1tb M.2 drive (it's between the CPU and the GPU). This thing is seriously quick. So now I get to play games on settings other than LOW. Nice!
  14. https://www.gamebyte.com/google-set-to-announce-its-first-console-very-soon/?fbclid=IwAR1asFBnGEBt3uh88-m9LyihBb1JfjqY76PFGHOyMBBiu1R9CnBKejPL-us Interesting. Will it be PC AAA games streamed? I think for a casual gamer, there won't be an issue, but having played remote play, I can tell you there is lag. I can't see hardcore gamers going for it.
  15. Building a PC is easy. The parts these days are very robust, and if it shouldn't go somewhere it won't fit. I've just replaced my CPU and cooler, no drama. Regarding the CPU, it really depends on the type of game you are running. Games that favour more cores tend to run better on AMD. The Ryzen CPU is a solid processor.
  16. "Didds running around like a mental loon shotgunning everyone" His K/D suggested not *everyone* Looking forward to the next episode of where is Gary not moving from?
  17. I'm much less stressed at the moment (with gaming anyway). There are so many easy improvements to make that could lift everyone 2-300 SR overnight. Playing as a team, is very rewarding. The guy I played with last night has played at GM level on PC with a controller, that's insane. It's game sense over mechanical every time.
  18. So I headed over to our friends at OCUK to see if I could find some friends to play overwatch with. A couple of guys added me and I grabbed a game with one. One small problem, he peaked at about Master, and I'm wallowing in Gold, fortunately he's bombed enough so I can play. I've been playing a lot of soldier so thought I'd give it a whirl. I just get my ass handed to me. Shut down at every possible turn. The rest of the team (understandably) are getting a bit pissed off with me. We lost the first round hard. I decide to mix it up and get my star player out. Moira to the rescue. I start well and even when the team die, I'm holding the point giving people a chance to come back without giving it away. Couple of nicely timed ults as we press on. The key thing with Moira is that the ult is primarily a healing tool. At this level blowing an ult for damage alone is a no-no. Round 2 won, team are happier. Round 3, more of the same, getting into it now. Falling back and moving as a unit, something sadly you just don't get to experience on quick play. It's pretty obvious that the SR doesn't directly translate to PC from PS4, I was working really hard to not die. Playing attacking Bastion here would not be smart. Anyway, there you have it!
  19. Couldn't have you pulling *too* far ahead. Bought an i5 7600K CPU. I'll get a better mobo for ze overclocks later.
  20. I still need to tidy wires up, but this is my room. I work during the day and game at night. Need some wall art sorting though.
  21. First things first. LEDs are awesome. The more you have, the better your life is. FACT. Good. Nvidia all the way, although G-sync is nice to have it's not essential. I run at 144hz, and I'm really not sure I can tell the difference. 30 to 60hz is the real eye opener, that's when you know you are PC gaming. AMD are every bit as good as Intel these days, and to be honest better at some things worse at others, but not in a massively noticeable way. I've been toying with the idea of running my PS4 through a capture card. You could effectively play windowed. Save the outlay for 2 screens, and you can make awesome vids too, and overlay webcam to twitch. You could be a famous streamer! 2K is dream build, and honestly you won't pay anywhere near that.
  22. Nice. Bread and water for dinner?
  23. I've added you on steam.
  24. I had an Atari STFM with a ram upgrade running cubase on a monchrome monitor alongside a Korg M1. I'm using a Roland FA08 now with ableton live and sometimes cubase on my laptop, but mostly just enjoy playing live stuff and messing with the internal workstation features on the synth. Bought a Korg krome, but sent it back because the the keys were terrible (my roland is weighted). I also play drums in a band doing rock covers. I'm really into retro synth stuff at the moment, as a result I'm pretty much the only person enjoying Muse's new album. there is a music thread around here somewhere, feel free to drop in and post anything you have created. Regarding Laptops, keep an eye on Hot UK Deals (google hukd) it's where you'll find some good bargains.
  25. Most of the fan noise would come from the graphics card. My guess is that when you are running your DAW, it wouldn't stress the laptop *too* much, unless you run a billion VSTs.
