TurboR56Mini reacted to GazzaGarratt in Hogwarts Legacy
I was hyped when I knew they were making this but you always have some skepticism as to whether they can pull off a game that is worthy of wizarding wands and suited for all ages.
That State of Play makes it look very fleshed out, more than i anticipated. The combat looks like its actually fun rather than just very basic too. Excited to explore a large open world, seems to be a game with many stories and side quests to keep you going.
Hopefully the playloop will be rewarding and fun, as we all know there will be one of some kind for a game this big.

Yeah I saw that. And judging by your qualifying time in daily race 1, in the mini I think, we have another driver on our hands 👊
I had to upgrade my mini to beat your time😁

Because thats not how it works! You don't start from scratch, you simply swap out perks. So if the meta changes or your playstyle changes, you can simply swap out the perks for some materials. I just did this with my glaive so I know you don't lose progression. I changed all perks and lost no progression. Leveling is fairly quick depending on events.
I think the system needs some work like higher caps for materials, 250 seems stupid. Overall I think there is lots of potential.

So what do we think of it! What are you guys spending those oh so bloody rare ascendant alloys on. Any interesting builds.
My thoughts so far:
wish ascendent alloys were easier to get / more plentiful supply, i've only had 4 and still got one left!
I've got a mission fully completed red-border guns in the vault and all my various materials are full except for the Alloys, which seems like a bit of a poor economy. Like the last thing i need is more stuff to put in the vault
However tweaking that aside i see promise in it - just got to rank up guns quicker than i am.
So far spent two alloys on Osteo catalyst, which is beast
Only other Alloy I have spent is on my Glaive, gave it upgraded rampage, which i'm running with Grave Robber, which is a nice perk for this weapon, but dont seem like any point in upgrading it further - whats anyone else doing with their Enigma?
Any good ideas for builds?

Looks very impressive - some fabulous environments. Just hope the gameplay can hold up but it does look promising

There's definitely some tweaks needed in terms if balance.
Also, the game defaults to having stability management and steering assist turned on, which i naturally turned off. But a couple of occasions I have had to turn both on just to keep the car on the road.

Well that’s always good news 🤣
I am finding the difficulty variance jarring in this though. I know some people in this thread have found it with licences. But I’ve been knocking out the circuit experiences and some are easy to get gold by over a second yet others take hours to scrape gold by only hundreths of a second.
Not to mention dodgy ones like LeMans. The demonstration is at a different time of day so the demo has more grip. The demo takes the corners at full throttle yet all that leads to is snap oversteer and spinning off to fail the sector.

Yeah, same reason I only use the wheel on PC.
The PS5 controller is excellent and I've set up the sensitivity to make it feel good.
BTW
Has anyone tried to use the motion controls?
In the controller options menu is the choice to use motion controls in place of the analog stick, emulating the feeling of turning a steering wheel.
I've heard it works well but not tried it...

If there's a GT7 night I'm game for that just need to focus on the books or licenses lol

Yea honestly will probably stick with the controller even. I don't really have a spot to use a wheel since I play the PS5 on the 77" on the wall from the couch. I would need to have a chair at a minimum anyway. Plenty of space but most the benefit of a wheel for me would be the proper seating position and pedals etc. Left foot braking I'm used to, left hand braking is another story.

Yea saw this. I've been looking for years and still have not pulled the trigger. I'd rather have the full rig to do it properly so it's probably like 3k.
I'm planning that trip to the arctic in Alaska. Need to buy a lot of expensive equipment, will probably concentrate on that over this. That money buys my roof top tent!

Be aware that games will NOT be given to accounts less than a month old and who has less than 10 posts. I'm only doing this as I don't want someone to sign up with just the intention of getting free games.

Remember I haven't tried these codes and can't check if they are still active, so apologies in advance for anything that might not work.
You guys are hard to please 😆, since they aren't shifting, I've removed some games that I've given my brother and added a few extras from the Fanatical bundle.

TurboR56Mini reacted to GazzaGarratt in FG Memberships! (And some Launch benefits too)
We're just over a week in and a number of you have done this which is awesome news! Hope people like the shiny badges too on their profiles 😄
The launch raffle still has 10 days to go. You of course can do this whenever you like but I can't deny its fantastic for all the people here at FG that we have kind and generous people that have done this straight from the get-go. It doesn't matter what membership level you take because 1 or 2 pounds when most of us chip in can go an awful long way.
Thank You all and lets keep doing what we can to help each other ❤️
