The lolz, this was a boss move and I enjoyed it. 5000 euro fine, fuck it.

A faithful remake is always welcome as is a polished remaster however this angle of the industry is usually of the cash-grab nature and it's never usually results in a gesture to fans that they truly deserve.
 
The worst thing is when they remove the original games from sale and then replace them wholly with the new version aka remaster - Warcraft 3 Reforged did this whereby the removed staple features, applied a disgusting DRM layer and released a broken and disgraceful version in the process. GTA Trilogy Remasted also did this initially. Diablo 2 was also an excellent and incredibly faithful remaster futher ruined by publisher-made decisions and horrendous servers. Also the original is still available but Resurrected was supposed to offer users the best of both worlds yet within one week they destroyed almost everything and killed off a game that was going strong for 20 years. 
 
Other games like Demon Souls Remastered, Mafia Definitive Edition and the hugely impressive Resident Evil 2 are examples of games redone and done well particularly the latter. Others like Skyrim have been milked to death per generation but there's plenty of other worthy ones like Tony Hawk 1 and 2 along with Nightdive Studio's impressive range of old-school shooters they are rebuilding whilst retaining everything of the original titles. Those don't get the recognition they truly deserve. 
 
GTA Trilogy was one of the most disappointing, shameful and embarrassing releases ever though - such a prestigious range of games ruined by a mobile developer who used AI to recreate assets which resulted in significant amount of spelling errors and the games themselves didn't even go through Q&A testing! Even amateur modders have done better than multi-billionaires Rockstar with this and their work was DMCA'd to death as a result. 
 
There just isn't enough trust in the industry now from a consumer standpoint with these especially if games are being remade by people that were too young to even remember when the original came out. I love the prospect of a Max Payne remaster coming but I am not going to get 'hyped' or delude myself because of the problems above which prominent in this part of the industry across many developers and their respective publishers. 
 
Resorting to remakes or remasters is also a sign of no ambition, lack of creativity and developers/publishers being unwilling to take a risk on something original. That also rings alarm bells. 

If a game is to be remade I think I prefer the controls etc to be updated as well as the looks. I'm the opposite of Bones, I found RE1 remake very annoying but i do get that it makes the remake more authentic. RE 2 is for me probably the best way to redo a game. They did a fantastic job.
But it depends...the Mafia remake redid the controls but I preferred the original rather than newer controls.
Males me wonder about the GoldenEye remake, that would be awful with the original controls, unless they sell the N64 controller with it😁
 
While part of me thinks remakes are a sign of lack of imagination, if done well, like RE2, then I'm happy enough.
 
The GTA remakes are the other side of the coin, just a shitty cash grab and have tarnished the franchise forever in my eyes.

Yeah, it was great to get back to racing. Really enjoyed it and everyone was dead chill, even when accidents happened. Could've been definitely up for the win on the first race, messed up at the start at literally on the last lap, however it was great trying to catch up through the pack from 9th to nearly 2nd.
 
Cheers for setting it up @Greboth. Somehow we'll have to tell the OCUK lot that they are welcome here to chat and join up so when the mini league starts, we can all know who's about for racing. With a few more of us here to jump in too, we could have a huge grid for some nights which makes me excited muchly 😄

Absolutely loved it last night.
First 2 races I actually had a few battles with a few OCUK.

It was a good night of racing and I think we had 9 or 10 racing so a good field 😄 We definitely smashed it, like Paul did to the walls around Tokyo 😄 
 
I’ll arrange another one in a couple weeks or so, give everyone time to practise 🤣
 
I have a new found respect for the circuit experiences.  25 million credits from all the ones I’d done.  Then went and spunked a lot of it on the Gr2 CLK and McLaren F1 GTR.  It’s great seeing more Gr2 cars in this over sport.  We’ll have to have a Gr2 race at some point.

Love how it changes! But also i'm a big fan of the start too. You could do a hell of a lot of background music for so much stuff with your ideas dude. Have you thought about doing that for other things?

Sadly though car, insurance, tax and server renewals have all alligned for me this month so no new games for me.

There's alot going on in my life and more stuff this week which I'm finding it all a little to hard to deal with.
After a rough day in work was not looking forward to coming home to an empty house well I have my dogs here but I get in to find a parcel for me and I'm completely speechless.
It may seem small to some people but things like this just shows there is some decent people out there that still care this has cheered me up and put a smile back on my face which I've not had for quite a while.
I know who this is down to but I can't thank FG enough all I can say is roll on November will need a step ladder for some man hugs.

No wonder I couldn't find it....🤣

So this is my first time playing  this game and my first release. I must say I like some things and others need a lot of work still. The visuals are great, I enjoy the transport in the city I was in, it was smooth and fun to experience. The flight mechanics at the moment are trash for me, I'm using an X56 hotas and it took me 2 hours just t figure out how to leave the bay. The thruster does not operate like it should so the flying quality is sub-par for me compared to Elite. This will probably sort itself out as I spend more time trying to figure it out but it's still annoying. I did one mission which had me land on a planet with high winds. Since I'm not sure if there is an auto land or anything, I'm doing it manually which would be fine but with controls that make zero sense atm it was probably harder than it needed to be. As in, I'm inputting control and the ship is not always performing as expected. Sometimes the control does what I want so that part makes no sense. Either way, I love this type of game so I'm still excited.
