I don't think it's unreasonable to expect 1-2 new maps and 1-2 remakes per Season. 1 new and 1 old at launch, then same again at mid season. Each season is about 2 months. I still think they are holding back some for later dates.

Yeah have to agree, this was definitely the case. I loved when a new bunch of maps dropped. I enjoyed learning them and sometimes did very well in the initial first few go's at a map. The original MW2 map packs and the Black's OPs 1 ones in particular were my favourites. Maps like Zoo, Kwaloon, Berlin Wall and Drive in were awesome. Even the ones I didn't like as much were still great quality designed maps. Dom on Berlin Wall was epic. B flag sat right in the middle of the 2 sides of wall in a tight choke point. Ai sentry guns high on either sides. Broken rubble, barbed wire, endless explosions and smoke grenades. A real battle to secure, loved it!

I did like the old map packs, but games were cheaper then. The content was consistent and very good tho. I agree I don't want to pay more, but maybe a middle ground from the big vault edition £100. Game is already £60 or more depending. Now the old map packs were like 11 or 12 quid. You got 4 maps and usually very good quality. So if they released 3 or 4 packs and there was a £80 version with all future maps 3 or 4 promised I would be tempted. It would feel better value. But on the otherhand I agree with @GazzaGarratt mostly here. The separation and division of players isn't good either. Some have it and some don't, it sucks. Also I doubt there will be a mid season new map or whatever, mainly because they would of made a huge thing of it and celebrated it to try retain players and interest with it.

Yeah I'm pretty shocked, I didn't expect a lot but wow. Even 1 new map would of cheered a few people up. Apart from the Musuem map being reintroduced, don't forget a remade version of Dome. Excellent fresh brand new content. 💀

Interesting to see the figures, I think most of those slumps and drops are because a lot of people didn't enjoy Vanguard. A new title is always going to bring another surge of players. A lot of people were hyped for MW2, also the beta for MW2 played really well imo. Thanks for sharing tho, is facisinating to see. 🙂

Just basically making things like how Cod used to be. Before they changed all those aspects in recent Cods. Sounds appealing, touché.

My best game with a Pistol on Shipment was with the P890 and Kill Confirmed. 52 kills 28 deaths and 37 confirms. I was going absolutely ham with it. Everyone was running AR's, SMG's and LMGs etc.

Yeah the lobby disbanding after each match is to optimise the next match for skill level. (sbmm) If you tear it up in the previous match they can then throw you in with the CDL/TTV Twitch streamers and semi pros. If you do horribly they might throw you a bone and give you a chance. Heavy manipulation going on behind the scenes. My KDR is kinda trashed playing a lot of Shipment. I have a 420 average score per minute so the lobbies can get a bit rough. 😬

I remember when the N64 and Goldeneye released. One on my friends older brother had it. His room was cool and had sweet lighting with different coloured LEDs. He had some DVDs neatly displayed. DVDs were new at this time also. We got to watch and play a little bit. The 4 of us were blown away by the gameplay and graphics. It felt like a special privilege. We were probably about 10 and had only had mega drives, PS1, Snes, Nintendo and gameboys. It was a different experience. A year or 2 down the line, another friend had it. We binged on it for hours on 4 player splitscreen. Times of magic and folklore. The absolute joy. The only thing that came close to the magic was halo 1 and 2. Playing 4 player of that round at mine with friends over. I managed to get a 3rd and 4th pad. More joy and fun and rolling fat joints and getting stoned hotboxing my room. Such simple fun times and laughs.

Thanks Lee. LMGs are the same as nearly everything else. AR's, Battle Rifles, Marksman Rifles and LMGs are all equal. SMG's, Pistols and Shotguns are less. Snipers are more obviously. I did my LMGs all in core and Shoothouse exclusively. There are more spots other than just the wall. Office>>>>>The Arch Tunnel On both sides. Also Junkyard into the back as well both sides.

In terms of new content as far as maps go there has been nothing so far in addition since launch. The game has been out for like 2 and a half months. Just because the game is a 2 year cycle, doesn't mean they have to drip feed the content even more sparsely. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy most of what the game has to offer. Saying that I only play MP, the resources are all getting used up on other side modes or ideas. I don't have to play them which is fine, but I feel the MP content is lacking atm. Just a few more maps would be nice. Game modes are sometimes worth experimenting with sure. It's nice to attempt something different I guess. However Tier 1 was a butchering of the highest order. I'm glad they are going to bring back the original Hardcore. At least they have realised how well Tier 1 didn't do and are rectifying the problem. That I can commend them on, actually listening to the community and taking things on board and using the information proactively. I feel they gave themselves more work by changing or doing certain things that enraged the fan base. E.g the Tier 1 version of HC, a terrible UI and of course an underwhelming and utterly shite perk system. Nobody asked for those 3 shockers, but they gave them anyway and now have to invest time fixing them. People do however ask for new maps all the time, did we get any? So when Season 2 drops we will be treated to at least A new map I presume? 3 months deep to get a new map. 3 months to give us normal Hardcore, a decent UI and maybe a rework of the perks? Shame on you Activision........ BTW my post isn't aimed at anyone or anything in particular. Just sharing my thoughts and ramblings on our current Cod.
