  1. Oh how I wish I had a big house and money to just throw at arcade machines. Last Saturday I visited Arcade Club in Leeds. Still an amazing experience and my favourite game was Manx TT Superbike, loved the bike and way it controls. I'd love to own one but definitely not cheap!
  2. Well I've decided I'll be retiring from trucking for some months. I heard about a method of gluing the encoder back together, so spent time this morning dismantling it all again, and this method probably works with the right strong glue, so all I did was make it messy and it wasn't bonding the plastic. The only other option is spend money on a brass encoder, which probably does work but costs more than I'd like to spend and ships from abroad. I don't have the room or space to keep it dismantled anywhere until a fix is found, plus not a huge fan of the pedals. So I'll hang my keys up for now and try and save some money if I can to buy a new wheel, so recommendations?
  3. Well this sucks. My wheel doesn't seem to be centered. It isn't off by far but still bugs me a little. Dismantled the steering wheel and annoyingly, the sensor on the motor has a crack down it. Need to try source a replacement so I can fix it. Good news is that I didn't break the wheel and it still works after being put back together. 😅
  4. Anyone tried out mods or are you running vanilla? If you have, feel free to post them below. Since coming back I'm running vanilla, but I'll be looking at traffic mods soon. Useful links: https://truckersmp.com/ - makes the game online, thousands play this. https://forum.scssoft.com/viewforum.php?f=24&sid=e5d61f00b3528ad4154655f848073e69 - main place you might look for mods. https://forum.scssoft.com/viewforum.php?f=109 - you may find more user created realistic plugins for your wheels, such as realistic FFB. https://www.promods.net/ - most well known map pack for ETS2. https://www.roextended.ro/forum/index.php - another well known map mod. https://trucksbook.eu/index - already known here but creates a virtual trucking company (doesn't affect your in-game company). **I would recommend having a separate profile that contains map mods, as game updates break mods until they get updated**
  5. I wish Pro Clubs was cross play. I just bought FIFA on PC. 😞
  6. So I think I've found a way to use the wheel, the pedals move slightly though but nothing too much that would distract from the game. And considering the only other games I play are fighting games on an arcade stick, I might be able to leave it setup for a little while. It was nice to see my old profile still there, not certain on if I should start new or not but something to consider. Do you want to know how much effort I used to go to for this game? I used to watch a trucker on Twitch which gave me the idea of creating this template, it's based on the template he used to fill out for his work.
  7. @TurboR56Mini don't forget to accept all the requests to join the company. You can promote other members when they join so more people should be able to accept requests.
  8. I really would, but so far haven't found any easy way to use the pedals without a lot of faffing around. The computer tables layout and size make it hard sadly. I'll look at it again to see if I can find something workable.
  9. Have you heard of https://trucksbook.eu/? Might be one to consider, used it previously and it's pretty decent. I'd love to play more but don't have the energy or space to keep setting up my wheel.
  10. It's not too much different here. We have a small section in a corner for accessories like headphones, section for Anime, big section of BluRays / Boxsets, a section for CD's but much smaller now and a fairly decent range of vinyl along with the various merch you can buy dotted all around the store, also a wall lined with expensive t-shirts.. I might pop in every so often to check out if anything is decent but still not willing to shop there at those prices.
  11. It now just feels like they will release any old console. If they didn't charge so much, I'd be all for it but these things are pricey. At this point I'd rather just emulate the system, that's essentially what they are selling anyway. You can build a Raspberry Pi for much cheaper and have access to many more games and systems in one place.
  12. I don't tend to follow news since I don't have a PC that would work well with new games. I do visit at least 2 other forums where gaming is discussed though, so most news comes from them. For Nintendo on YouTube, I only watch SwitchUp but mostly for the sales videos about the eShop. I do use Reddit daily mind, so do come across a lot of news there.
  13. Save 90% on INSIDE on Steam STORE.STEAMPOWERED.COM Hunted and alone, a boy finds himself drawn into the center of a dark project. INSIDE is a dark, narrative-driven platformer combining intense action with challenging puzzles. It has been critically acclaimed for its... Inside is pretty cheap right now at 90% off! It comes down to £1.49 or £1.34 if you already own Limbo!
  14. Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition (Game Boy) https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Pokémon_Yellow:_Special_Pikachu_Edition Everyone knows Pokémon, so it needs no introduction. You are tasked with becoming the Pokémon Champion, travelling through varies towns while defeating the Gym leaders, eventually gong on to defeat the Elite 4 and finally the Champion. Shamefully this is the first time I can say I've ever completed the main story of a Pokémon game. I have some good memories growing up of playing Pokémon Fire Red, getting to the Elite 4 but never getting past that grind to be able to beat them. With this being Yellow, it contains all the wonderful Pokémon we will have grown up remembering. As a bonus on this special edition, you start your journey off with Pikachu (just like the TV series!), who also doesn't like Poké balls and will follow you on foot throughout your journey. Some areas can be a pain if you don't have the right type of Pokémon, especially when you first come up against Ghost type Pokémon. You won't have to grind much early on and you will just defeat the Gym leaders as you pass them. The elite four might require a little bit of grinding, although that too is easy but time consuming. You can simply just keep fighting the Elite four over and over until you blackout to level up quickly, they provide some juicy exp. Mostly they use Ice type moves, which is another type that is really annoying to fight against. So many times I was getting 1 hit KO. The Elite four was easily taken down with some extra levels, and pretty much only used my main two Pokémon for the entire fights, then the actual Champion fight was laughable. Hardest of them all was definitely Elite no. 4. Once the game is finished, you can continue to play your save and even go for that full Pokédex if you are so willing! I will now be moving on to Pokémon Gold or Silver, or maybe even Crystal! So my winning team?
  15. Well I've sorted my PS3 and X360 games to much smaller storage. I still wanted the physical aspect, so was especially careful to not have to get rid of anything. Solution is these two great cases, 96 spaces each, so still some room to buy some more games if I want to. I wanted to make sure I wasn't throwing away the actual manuals or covers of any of the games, I most likely won't sell in the future but should I ever have a gem which could be worth anything later on, I just need to obtain another empty case to restore it back to how it originally was. So I bought some storage boxes to help keep them in one place. I feel I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Definitely freed up a lot of space the cases were taking up.
  16. Anyone ever clicked a link? I've never had the balls to touch them but just wondered where it usually leads? Is it some virus / malware link or some phishing sites?
  17. I'm trying to find a solution to lack of space but which also allows me to still purchase physical games / movies. My intention is to have a portable storage case or something like that, which will house and not damage the discs. I'd also need a solution for the games manuals and case covers, although I could just do as you see them doing in CEX and use an elastic bands and just store them in a box, this gets rid of the bulky cases and I'd fit much more in a box this way. I don't know if there's an all in one solution for both of these, but if there was, I'd love to see it. I'm torn on if I should get one big case to house everything, or smaller cases to separate each consoles discs. So what do you guys do? Any brands, cases or anything you can recommend?
  18. I play Halo Combat Evolved (not the MCC edition), Halo Custom Edition and Call of Duty 2 Multiplayer on PC. I'm playing through Call of Duty 3 on my X360 and just started Championship Jockey on X360 today. I remember CoD3 being shown at E3 and I was very impressed with what was being shown. I never did get around to getting the game though until I bought it not long ago cheaply.
  19. There's those in between who somewhat care but not enough to be a collector. Toys boxes are designed to be binned once opened mostly, games cases tend to feel nice to look at and feel in your hands. Something about buying unboxed games doesn't feel right with me but I don't go looking for pristine condition. Especially newer consoles which are disc based, I don't like buying loose discs. if I couldn't find an affordable game with box, I'd obviously settle without a box/case.
  20. Spacedeck

    FIFA 23

As expected too but Legacy edition once again for Switch.. Pretty much fuck EA at this point.
  21. @GazzaGarratt the TV I have isn't new as in the last few years, so might even do the job? https://www.manualslib.com/manual/261597/Samsung-Le32c650.html?page=7#manual I can't even remember what connection works best for PS2. Which consoles would actually work on this TV? One of them devices would still be handy for use of playing on monitor. Purchased Oct 2010, so had it almost 12 years!
  22. @GazzaGarratt Which device do you use on modern TVs? I've been looking at PS2 ads on Gumtree for months, tempted by a few but ultimately left it due to not having a CRT TV.
  23. Yeah, so I mainly emulate and use 8BitDo controllers, but only those which gives the authentic look and feel. I don't use these for any modern gaming, I have an Xbox One controller for that. But there's still amazing devices which allow the use of original controllers on emulation. Raphnet is such one. It's the only device on the market which supports Memory Packs and Rumble Packs.
  24. So I do still pick games up now and again, mostly for X360 and PS3. Whether you see them as retro or not, I don't care 😅. Xbox 360: PS3: Game Gear:
