  1. Throwndown is one of the few new bands I can listen to. Their style resembles Pantera A LOT
  2. A few days after Christmas I was going through my Facebook profile, deleting stuff I didn't want public. What I found on the lower left corner in recent activity (Dec. 19th) was a box from "Invision Power Boards" that said I had liked a post that I know I had liked... Problem is it was on THIS site, in my PPR... Something I never intended to share on my public Facebook profile. This is what it said: "Palle likes a post in "Palle's LPR (Life Progress Report)", directly linking to the topic. You know what was said in it. I can only hope that none of my Facebook friends or connections saw or cared about this post if it showed in their news feeds or that no one cares to view my profile. Now this is really interesting, because I have never allowed anything to post directly between Facebook and this forum. The ONLY thing linking them is that I'm using the same email address on both sites. The other day I had a similar post, yet again without any request for permission or notification. I can't make it stop posting because I haven't let any IPB apps post to my timeline, doesn't even seem to be one existing on Facebook. This is a violation of my privacy... I'm afraid to use the same email for different sites now.
  3. Yes, mostly retouching pictures of make-up products, clothes and jewelry for display in stores and such. Maybe later retouching models too, I don't know right now. Thanks, I'm pretty satisfied with how the last one turned out
  4. lol I know right. Thanks! This is the company and the stuff I will be working with http://www.peas.pro/portfolio/
  5. Thanks for the detailed answer. I completely understand what you mean, I really didn't think of using it when retouching photos. It kind of adds that photographic value right back instead of leaving it looking like a painting. I gave it another go with the same picture, using another technique and adding microscopic uniform noise to the blurred out layers on top of the original image. The extra layers are all copied from the original by using the lasso tool, then blurred out with gaussian blur with 4/8 pixel radius and after that, I lowered the opacity of each layer to 45-70%. Then I added uniform noise to each individual layer, about 4 pixel radius on a picture that is 6400x4047 and 225PPI. Here's the result http://fav.me/d73af44 For reference this is the original picture http://www.moviehole.net/img/Mary-Winstead.jpg
  6. So lately I've been doing a lot of photo retouching because I'm going to a apply for a job that I found, which involves a lot of retouching of cosmetic products, jewelry, models and clothing for various companies. Now I need to improve my portfolio for my application. Please take a look at these pictures and give me your opinions; Is it good? Anything that needs improving? Too much? The first two pictures are before-after of the same image, one natural and one that has a bit dreamy, almost painted effect. 1: http://fav.me/d735zsg 2: http://fav.me/d7360qd Here's another I made two days ago http://fav.me/d72xgkd
  7. I love this song. Then I found this awesome guitar cover... I must learn it!
  8. You listen to Jimi Hendrix? These songs especially give me the chills https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vC_veJrMj7M&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  9. This was what I was thinking this just the other day I'm unemployed right now, sucks having to come up with reasons why you want a crap job. "Hello, manager at McDonalds. To be surrounded by food preparation machines and making fast food for tons of people all day long has been a life long dream of mine. I love the overwhelming smell of cheeseburgers and fries while working in a stressful conditions with rude customers. Especially when crappy pop music in being played in the background. Please consider my application, best regards" I need the money, end of story!

  11. Sinister (One of the best horror movies I've seen so far and I'm very picky about what I watch... If you haven't seen it, you really should!) Riddick.
  12. ^ Nice! Peavey usually have quality amps.
  13. Saudi Arabia and CIA Behind Terror Bombings in Southern Russia? http://www.globalresearch.ca/saudi-arabia-and-cia-behind-terror-bombings-in-southern-russia/5363184
