AceBoogie239 got a reaction from phil bottle in Cyberpunk 2077 - First Impressions
Where to begin. The good. The game is beautiful. I play almost max settings 4K, 60-70 FPS on PC and the visuals are stunning. The amount of detail in the game, surroundings, nightlife, day time, all of it looks amazing. The story. So far it’s fantastic. I’m a little bit into act 2 and so far I’m really digging it. It’s not on Naughty Dogs level but still very good. Gameplay feels good (not gunplay). I love how it flows from dialogue and transitions into gameplay seamlessly. TLOU2 did a really excellent job at that as well and I hope it’s the bar for future games in the genre.
The genre. The bad. Well kind of. This game was promoted as an immersive RPG but in all honesty it’s an action adventure game. You’re naturally involved in the dialogue but it’s not like your choices effect important outcomes. The game is missing a karma like feature. Where your actions and reputation have rewards and consequences. The bad. While the city and landscape looks and feels amazing the NPC’s not so much. There’s no real interactions with normal people walking around. Everyone is just there. It feels very stale in that regard. There’s very little depth there and it’s pretty sad. They could’ve really knocked it out the park on that front but it fell flat. RD2 and GTAV are definitely the bar and 2077 is nowhere near that level as far as that goes. The bad. You wear what gives you the best armor but that best armor has you walking around looking like an idiot. Which I guess really doesn’t matter because the fucking game should’ve been made in the 3rd person. That’s probably my biggest gripe about the entire game.
I’m having fun playing the game but it definitely has its faults. They should’ve just delayed until summer of 2021. With Covid they could’ve had some leeway there for sure. It’s unacceptable that they released it the way they did for PS4 and XBoxOne. If it wasn’t ready they could’ve just released it for PC then fix what they needed to to make it playable on last gen or just be honest from the get go and say hey we made a game that’s meant for high end GPUs and older consoles can’t handle it. That’s my two cents. I’m sure I left some out but you get the gist.

AceBoogie239 got a reaction from GazzaGarratt in Destiny 2 - Season 10 - What Armour to use?
Year 3 armor for PvE (until they fix some of the old armor to equip new mods).
All my armor is MW but more importantly it all has warmind mods on each piece. Mods from the artifact, bunkers or seraph towers. My build synergizes with arc subclasses that proc warminds off of mele or grenade hits. When there’s mobs me or my FT shoot them to wipeout entire rooms. The blast radius is ridiculous. For bosses I let the warmind stay out there for extra DPS on bosses. If you haven’t toyed around with these mods yet then you’re really missing out imo.
Below is my equipment helm to bond with a description of what each mod does.

AceBoogie239 got a reaction from GazzaGarratt in Destiny 2 - Season 10 - Meta Weapons to use?
I use Summoner or Gnawing Hunger in PvE and PvP. With the buff to 600’s they’re both pretty beastly.

While it can be sweaty its not as bad as it would be if most of the sweats didn't got over to PC. Either way, running as a group we can have a good time while completing the quests.

Looking for a core group of people that want to run comp to get the Lunas Howl and Not Forgotten hand cannons. There are no set number of players needed, I'm just looking to see who all would be game so whenever certain people are on we can all work towards getting the guns. Forty6_N_Two, Lee, Capn_Underpants and myself (AceBoogie239) are game. Post below if interested and feel free to add me on PSN. Thanks and look forward to playing with the people I've played with in the past or the new ones that I have yet to meet in game yet.

Nice one Travis, I've always wanted to give more time with the Competitive Playlist but being brutally honest, been worried that people take it too sweaty. We all want to win but if I lose, it ain't the end of the world. Still gotta have fun and I've seen that this playlist shouldn't have to be too sweaty.
I know there's quite a lot here that would definitely be up for some Comp PvP play. From the top of my head I'd have thought these people may consider comp play: @crispymorgan @Stretch616 @Bluebear @techno @Amnotright @LordBaguette @SyntaxMonstr @Sofaman @tronic44
There's probably others but I know Competitive PvP isn't for everyone.

I'd be up for a regular comp night. Chill out, do 10 games a pop, win or lose I won't care.
It seems like there's no quest stages for Luna's Howl that actually depend on winning matches, just pure kills so I'm happy with that.

Is be up for it, been working on that quest with no real expectation of beating it. Party up would definitely help. Rank up system is brutal

A few things that can really turn this game around quick:
*I'm ok with static rolls but the one thing that can flip this game upside down is the mod system. The potential there is unlimited. Hardcore players could have something to seriously grind for if done right.
*We need specific loot for activities such as strikes, sectors, adventures etc...We need an incentive to do them which currently just isn't there at all right now.
*Exotics that truly feel exotic. The game is missing guns that feel like they have the potential to be iconic. In D1 we had infamous guns like Gjallarhorn, Ice Breaker, Thorn, Hawkmoon, also Vex Mythoclast and Suros in the beginning. Were they OP they sure as fuck were but for a good 6 months we got to tear shit up with them before they got nerfed. That was fun. We all remember those guns. Nobody is going to look back on D2 and be like "hey that game sure was balanced", but you'll damn sure look back on D1 and the few guns I named and be like those were memorable times.
*Raid gear: imo needs to have raid specific perks attached to the gear. Right now theres nothing special about the weapons armor. There needs to be something that also separates prestige gear from normal gear and no a fucking shader doesn't count.
*PvP: ya 4v4 is a really good model for the competitive scene. However not everyone is MLGyoloswag420noscoper. Bring back 6v6 for quickplay. Let us pick which game modes we want to play weather it's clash, control, supremacy. Bring back rift and mayhem. Give us more options so shit doesn't get stale.
