I'm up for it. I've hardly played the mod but am still playing the standalone occassionaly... though I did get killed about an hour ago haha. 

I'll definitely be up for this! I've put the Standalone on ice for a bit after my character was wiped but will pick it back up shortly when I get a chance and hopefully we can club a few people together for a meet

I mostly play lone wolf, hero style... though occasionally, when in the mood, have been known to join a mate of mine who goes for the PVP thing.

I play both Mod and Standalone and I'm free most late evenings UK time.
 
I'm not sure who plays and if anyone plays regularly apart from a couple of chaps here...but leave a post here if it tickles your fancy.

Yeah I for one am going to be careful about the games I pre-order. I have a feeling Titanfall 2 won't be far behind anyway

I am gutted that this game is basically a forward-ported 360 game though. 6v6 is sooooo 1999 and having bots as opposed to real players is just like shitty squads mode in Ghosts. I was really pumped for this but it just doesn't seem to have the scale and ambition I thought it was destined to have. Still think it could be a blast but any whiff of Call of Duty and I'll be uninstalling it immediately
 
Apparently an alpha/beta/gamma/rodeo or whatever it's called version may hit PC soon just as did the Xbox One last week so we may get a sampler before blowing our money on EA once again

How to clear out your pc:
Control panel --> uninstall unwanted programs.
Run CCleaner --> delete registry entries and junk (browsing history, etc).
Run Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool (Google it, on phone)
Run Malwarebytes.
Enjoy your fresh system.

This will rock on PC. BF4 on Ultra settings is one thing but this game looks immense. Bow down before the GTX 770  puny consoles

Even playing the mod I prefer to go by foot, or bike occasionally, so I don't worry too much about vehicles.
 
Getting chased by a heli while driving a UAZ (or vice versa) though is something special, which is one reason why the introduction of vehicles in the SA will be awesome.
 
It's not having a tent or a place to store items that's the biggest pain for me at the moment.

It's rare you see a game that makes Battlefield 4 tinpot tiny!
 
After seeing this; I'll never look at Battlefield the same way. In fact, I am going to refer to it as Battlebackgarden from now on.

I would say Frankie is partly responsible for the success of DayZ. His vids get massive views and always have done.

I admit, I have been interested in this game for some time. I have never played it though. And I probably won't until they release a ps4 version (which would be amazing)
 
But, I stumbled across this guy's channel late one night at work (graveyard shift) and even though I don't play the game, I'm really digging these videos.
 
He has a whole playlist so follow through to the channel if you enjoyed this episode. Each episode has a theme or "mission" so to speak. You guys who play Dayz will know what I mean.

I swear the DayZ community on Steam is more immature and stupid than the idiots that plague the official Call of Duty one. There is about 16,500 threads on the board and every time a new one is upped; you refresh and it's down to page 4. About 2,000 were regarding the issues from the other day and all practically the same! Needs moderation desperately.

This is why I'm so happy to have found ForeverGaming; a nicely sized forum with a great community, very tidy and well-maintained. 
 
Trying to get through to the DayZ forum that the standalone is a alpha and not a finished product is proving an impossible task.
