    I'll go along with that, though I could say the same of an act of terrorism in the UK or US. Governments tend to write cheques that the rest of us have to pay.

    My little lady is going to visit her folks in Barcelona for three whole weeks. I shouldn't let Dave or Rich know that, as I value my liver I stay at home to look after the cats, or at least that's my excuse. Barcelona is better visited in better weather. We live and work together so I seriously value some 'Phil-time'. This does not necessarily mean three weeks of wanking, smoking and playing computer games...but it comes pretty close Gift-wise we're the same as some of you guys, we don't really go for crimbo presents. I bought her a £500 yamama keyboard for her birthday in September, she was dying for it...... she never touches it An old Irish saying from my mum this time of year regarding presents was: You'll get a doll, a drum, a kick up the bum, and a chase a round the table.

    Agree completely. Harry Kane is doing well but Ade is off his head and gone to see his ju ju witch doctor* or some such bollocks....and Soldado couldn't score in a brothel, with a bucketful if valium. *if you can believe any of the daft stories floating around lol

    I've never tried a Skyrim mod but this looks dangerously good, I've been watching Gopher a bit on youtube and its about time I gave it a go.

    Waiting until the last ten minutes to try and win a game is not a successful tactic. Weird line up I thought last night, don't know why Coutinho doesn't start every game, he's class. Plus why no Lallana when you're playing his chum Lambert up front? Basle could have won by more, they're a canny team. They knocked my lot (Spurs) out of the Europa quarter finals in a penalty shoot out last year.

    The mixer is fairly basic, it has a livemix button with four options but they seem to be more an option for PS3 than for PC. I'll do some more testing on that this weekend. The sound is good and clear playing games but if it's to be used primarily for listening to music I'd go for a different headset. The other options are the usual volume and chat controls, plus mute. My X12s had a bass control which I miss a little. The voice quality is excellent I have to say. I recorded myself a few times playing games and the playback was a great, particularly as I can be a bit of a mumbler sometimes. I the option to slide the mic back inside the headphones is a nice touch too. For the money I'd say it's a pretty decent headset.

    I know, it's really great news. I'll still take care and not abuse it but.... it's good to know I don't have to stress too much if I'm using it a lot!

    They fit nicely, when I opened the box I thought they were going to be too small but they're just what I'd call 'snug'. I have the mixamp version and I'm going to try them out on DayZ first I think.

    Talk of Myshkino reminds me of playing the mod. I'd use the woods east of there to hide tents, vehicles, even helis. Makes me pine for a bike I'l be on later, I have a new headset to test out

    So, my turtle beach X12s are finally reaching the end of the road. I'm jealous of anyone with Astro A40s or A50s, can't really afford to spend over 200 smackers on a headset, so I've gone with Steel Series Siberia V2 For 50 knicker I'm sure I can't go wrong...I'll test them later and let you know! http://steelseries.com/products/audio/steelseries-siberia-v3

    North East London in the Master League are a damn sight better than their real-life counterparts right now. 20 hours in I have to say it's a really enjoyable footie game to play, though I've not tried the online experience yet. Might give that a go this weekend.

    I had a quick wander round last night, made it over to Green Mountain but yeah I noticed too the lack of ammo and only certain rifles seems to spawn too. May simply have been the server.

    With the misinformation around about SSDs this kind of article is excellent. I always have that feeling in the back of my head I'm using CCLeaner too much or too often installing and uninstalling games. So I think I can relax a little now, cheers for posting.

    A book I first read as a student in the 90s. My mate Chris did his final year dissertation on Noam Chomsky, it was the first I had ever heard of him. Blew me away. I've read a lot his work since. Check out: http://www.chomsky.info/ He backs up everything he says, often directly quoting the media itself. His political analyses to this day stand up to the most intense scrutiny. Often his critics resort to personal and/or crass jibes. The left wing press are condescending to him funnily enough while the right wing press (see the Financial Times) show begrudging respect. Thought I'd share with you, he's pretty damned old now but if you check out YouTube he's still a destroyer of ill-informed interviewers.     Nice one James, I hadn't noticed, I've been trying out the experimental servers recently but couldn't get near a vehicle.
