  1. . . . mother of god, what have i gotten myself into.
  2. it looked like a robot. if it's a robot, somebody's gonna pay. bottom line, i don't expect any existential pondering or a compelling struggle with identity when it comes to this re-make. less this: lots more of this: sadface, man.
  3. prior to seeing it, i can't place any confidence in this movie based on Megan Fox's involvement alone. this is coming from a rabid TMNT fan who would've liked to have been optimistic about this . . . but is not, at all.
  4. Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut.
  5. saw this today, thought of this thread:
  6. i like #3. reminds me of my one of my fave movies, Punch-Drunk Love, and the bleeding color sequences it uses as narrative interludes.
  7. i think i read one before from this guy about a floodlight complaint with a neighbor. that was also pretty funny, if not fake.
  8. sheeeeeit. http://walkerstalkercon.com/boston/guests/ might have to go to this. Maggie.
  9. i just crushed season one of this show last week and have been working on my buddy for his Hulu Plus password ever since so i can dig into season 2. i mean i'm going to watch season 2 once it's PURCHASED 100% LEGAL FROM A STORE. sorry, didn't know about the code.
  10. stop. just stop. this was my favorite movie in high school. i've watched it over twenty times. stop.
  11. thank you for being you. it's summer on the forum, time to get weird.
  12. i was too when it came to the first one, but i have to say i don't regret having watched it a month or so ago. liked it enough to want to see this one (or at least wait until it's on-demand somewhere). seems like it has to be a huge SFX spectacle in order for a theater ticket to feel worth it to me anymore. although i think i saw a monkey with an AR riding a horse in that trailer . . . promising.
  13. i think this is a great idea. the FCC thread could probably fly in Current Affairs proper, or even General Discussion -- it's linked up legitimately so it fits the criteria of those areas. seriously though this is a win for everyone i think.
  14. mmmmmthis. nah pretty sure this has nothing to do with you, no worries. i'll be honest, i didn't see the issue here as much as everyone else, because as far as i know all the young trolls of religion who don't know how to be respectful haven't been 'round these parts for a long time. so . . . sure, sad that he had to start with a disclaimer, but ultimately i didn't think it was super necessary. not recently anyway. and if someone did try to start shit i hope Steve knows we'd have his back and acclimate the noob to the rules, right quick. this is really what i wanted to touch on briefly. when it comes to the typical subject matter and the typical people who discuss it (because no one will understand if i speak in code), perceived "sides" are established based on how those exchanges usually go. and it was once suggested that although people may not publicly support one particularly prolific poster, they actively agree with him privately. that's fine. that's also bullshit. if you feel like you can't agree publicly, it's because you fail at defending your arguments as much as whoever it is you blindly agree with . . . NOT because of any other user here. i guess i'm just saying don't kid yourself (not "you" Kent, but in general) by claiming you don't pipe up because we play too rough. bullshit. k that's it. i love everybody (who can defend their own arguments). be safe out there.
  15. don't know don't care doesn't matter la la la la la la **inserts fingers in ears**
  16. speaking of figures, are we gonna discuss the Sansa-cleavage or what. i know the character is supposed to be 14 or something ridiculous like that. forget it, i just creeped myself out, everyone move along.
  17. double the postage.
  18. i would've found the finale sickening, but i'd already seen this movie called Irreversible. so. yeah. it was just kinda gross.
  19. so this is weird, but reading this thread actually made me happy in the face of, you know, complete horror and sadness. so much win, here. @Sennex are there places specifically in the mental health service industry that need funding the most? research, federal assistance for programs, new programs, etc. also in the OP article it was the father's lawyer who provided the "Asperger's" diagnosis, but it was a dated diagnosis from childhood -- i think it's the article that's confusing the issue by referring to Asperger's in the present tense.
  20. stay for the end credits, bud.
  21. ATTENTION NERDS: X-Men Days of Future Past changed my life and made me a better person. that's it, have a good weekend.
  22. @Mike hard to "like" that post if you know what i mean, but i don't know how else to show support without knowing fuck about what you've been through, man. i know it doesn't mean anything but i'll be thinking about you and the other servicemen i know and have known, from here and elsewhere, come Monday. won't be drunk, neither. respect. EDIT: and let that little girl have all the candy she wants.
