  1. I'm definitely getting the Jak and Daxter Collection, and I'm strongly considering Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Dragon Age Origins, and Final Fantasy VII, VIII,and IX. Though that's a whole lot of RPG, plus I never finished Kingdoms of Amalur (barely started it, actually).
  2. Obsidian Mind Gjallahorn Icebreaker I'm not asking for much
  3. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/01/13/playstation-anniversary-sale-starts-today-60-games-discounted/ Runs through January 19. Some great classics for great prices.
  4. Got a void Secret Handshake
  5. Closed Beta starts on Jan. 20 http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/01/07/planetside-2-closed-beta-hits-ps4-january-20th/#sf6783101
  6. Destiny Mars Strike - Valus Ta'aurc cheese spot:
  7. I have both as well. The claws are awesome, especially with Sunsinger and Flame Shield. If you play PVP at all I'd hold on to the vestments and use them for that.
  8. I'm excited for it, especially Comet. The biggest thing I didn't like about TDB was that there weren't any new areas to explore on patrol. All they need to do is open up the Jovian Complex and Rasputin's bunker and throw a few beacons in there.
  9. Been meaning to pick this up, throw my name in there please
  10. I've played a bit. It was fun, but not enough fun to put the time and effort required into it. It's not really a game you can just play a round or two of once in a while.

    Xur spawn?

He always comes at 1 AM PST on Friday.
  12. Double
  13. I hope so. After playing multiple shooters with some sort of enhanced movement (Destiny, AW, Titanfall) going back to regular movement is going to seem really slow and boring.
  14. Thanks guys, looking forward to getting online!
  15. So I'm a Christmas noob this year. Haven't gotten to play online yet but I've been playing against bots to get used to the new mechanics, maps, etc. What are your favorite guns from each category? So far the only really good one I've discovered is the ASM1 SMG. What should I be sure to try?
  16. I thought I was the only one who thought the menus/UI were overly complicated lol. Sucks about MCC, I think my wife is getting it for me for my birthday. Hopefully they get all that sorted soon.
  17. I feel like I might have Blind Rage. It'll probably be a few days before I can check. If I do it's most likely unranked.
  18. Just got on Destiny
  19. I got signed in briefly, but couldn't get on Destiny.
  20. There's a "fix" going around that involves lowering your MTU, which allows some people to connect but apparently is actually making the issue worse.
  21. So as we all know, Destiny's story as presented in-game is pretty shallow. Sure, there's the grimoire, but they just did that because they were too lazy to put the story in the game. Right? Or... There are some really fantastic fan-made theories over on the Bungie forums, digging through the grimoire and item descriptions to put the pieces together. Invariably someone will say something a long the lines of "how come Bungie couldn't come up with something this good?" That got me thinking: What If the story is so thin because we're meant to figure it out for ourselves, not have it handed to us? The game itself supports this philosophy. Throughout the game, you're left to figure out a lot of things on your own. The most notable examples are raids, particularly the Vault of Glass. Bungie even specifically said they purposely didn't tell you how to beat it; they wanted you to work together with other players to figure it out. Other minor things are this way as well, such as: how do you get an exotic bounty? How do you get the Husk of the Pit? The game doesn't tell you; you figure it out on your own or learn it from someone who did. Why would they do something like this? I've got some theories about that, too. As we all know, the lead storywriter left mid-production. Various people who were in test groups for the game talk about how different the story was, so we know that a lot of it was done, but probably not all of it. Now, they may have had to change the story because they weren't able to achieve an acceptable level of continuity with what was already there. If you read a book that switched authors halfway through, you'd be able to tell and it would hinder your immersion in the book's world. So maybe just finishing the story that was already started just wasn't going to work, especially if key parts of it were still being worked on. They probably didn't have time to fully develop another story at this point (cut scenes, dialog, mission programming, etc) so instead they opted to give us the pieces to put together for ourselves. "I could tell you..." or you could figure it out on your own. The elements of a great story are all here, you just have to go hunting for them, and it's supposed to be that way. Or they were just lazy and I'm making something out of nothing. Discuss.
  22. I really need to fire up Warframe again. I started the Archwing quest but haven't done anything with it yet. I'm going to feel almost as lost as I did when I first started playing!
  23. Don't jump, Jason! There's so much to live for!
  24. I thought for sure someone had posted this but couldn't find it. You can get the first chest in Crota's End solo: You don't have to fight any enemies so it doesn't matter what level you are. I did it last night and got Monte Carlo (the upgraded one at that).
  25. If you focus on bounties it really doesn't take long to get to level 20. My Titan is at level 18 and I have around 5.5 hours played with him.
