MW4 *CONFIRMED*
crippled_viper and 3 others reacted to Jason for a topic
I kinda want to see another ww2 or older setting game. Obviously this wouldn't be it...4 points -
Just thought you guys might enjoy a few pics from Ford Field last night. I use to go to the Monster Jams all the time back in my 20's but had not been in the last probably 15-20 years. My Niece was dying to go so we went last night.3 points

If this is true or not, doesn't matter. I'll buy it no matter what, no point in denying it.3 points -
What's wrong with Ghosts?
J4MES OX4D and one other reacted to JsinOwl for a topic
I think much of the problem is that with each new iteration, we've all been playing the game that much longer and are looking for something more, something new. I'm guessing that the Activision philosophy is more concerned with bringing in new blood, than preventing old-timers from moving on.2 points -
Job/Life? Advice
Plumbers Crack and one other reacted to Stretch616 for a topic
Just thought i'd add my 2p worth here (albeit a bit late). I went for an apprenticeship when i left school. This was electronic engineering which gave me a near as dammit degree level qualification paid for by the company. Downside of this was 4 years of working around 45 hour weeks for pay that started at £40 per week and rose to £140 by the end. So pay per hour was awful, but the end result was worth it. However i decided to make a dramatic career change into something i loved, which was working in bars. I quickly got qualified at this level and became assistant manager at various bars in my hometown and then London. However the pay for the hours worked wasn't going to be something i could support my life ambitions with (marriage, owning a house, kids etc). Eventually i've settled on a job where the pay is good, hours are good and although it's not where my passion is, it's not an awful job to have. What i'm getting at here is, at no point in your life is it too late or early to try something new if it's not working for you. Life has a funny way of throwing curve balls and what was great one year is possibly not suitable the next. Do what your gut tells you and never look back with regret, look forward with a plan and learn from the experiences you've had.2 points -
MW4 *CONFIRMED*
BO7H B4RRELS and one other reacted to Stretch616 for a topic
I totally agree with the franchise going back to WW2 era but i'd like to see a modern day version of COD: UO. Guns that take real skill to use. Tanks, jeeps, MG nests and anti tank positions. Levelling up inside a game. So once you had 1000 points you got more ammo, 2000 an extra grenade, all the way upto being able to call in artillery strikes via binoculars. Damn the more i mention about this game i'm tempted to see if people still play! Just a shame it was only ever out on PC2 points -
Ideas to improve Call of Duty

No KDR as a stat, just have score per minute. Good idea. I love watching my KDR ratio as a personnel goal but it makes way to many people go crazy and care only about KD, camping and shit. Would gladly get rid of KD if it gets some people to use the left analog stick every once ina while!2 points -

Ideas to improve Call of Duty
J4MES OX4D reacted to Stretch616 for a topic
Agree with pretty much all this apart from getting rid of league play. It was the one thing that kept me coming back to BO2 and the amount of people in this type of playlist is a very small percentage of the overall players online. As has been said before though. Connection, connection, connection!! I would take a BO2 game with a Ghosts connection and i would be a very happy man!1 point -
MW4 *CONFIRMED*
crippled_viper reacted to J4MES OX4D for a topic
I hope so too but reckon Activision would fear that the WWII setting would put-off some of the younger gamers who joined the bandwagon in MW2 and they seem to be a large target market now based on the current dumbed-down ghastly offerings. I'm willing to bet that many people who joined the COD circus around 2009 never even knew of WAW and never even played or seen it in action. I'd take WAW 2 over BO3 any day of the week.1 point -

Jsin, those ideas are terrible. x) BRING BACK WAR. I've been waiting for War in another CoD since WaW, damn it. They said they'd bring it through BO2 through DPC, so wtf?1 point -
BO2 getting a new DLC
Jason reacted to J4MES OX4D for a topic
I'm intrigued to see what Sledgehammer are gonna cook up. I dunno if they'll continue will their own spin of the franchise with this action adventure or 3rd person game. I don't think that would fall into Activision's wishes for the franchise although they didn't want a modern COD but MW shaped the series and they got completely red faced. Although the next COD is apparently next-gen focused; I am still worried that with it being on the old gen consoles; if it will get held back in quality terms. They can back-port a watered down game but if they forward-port a 360/PS3 title; then it won't be good news. I'm still pinning my faith in Treyarch's game to turn the franchise completely around but they need to sort out their connection/server reliability because it's fucking abysmal compared to the fluent IW games.1 point -

I would hope it's understood that my own comment about CoD's shit community has nothing to do with the people here. It may not even be reflective of the majority of the CoD community. Unfortunately, it only takes one or two obnoxious twunts to negatively impact one's online experience. I don't even care about campers, although killwhores on my own team for an objective game irritate me. It's mostly just the loudmouth idiots who spout off under cover of anonymity, and if they were ever in a real life combat/fight situation they'd wet their panties. Oh, and my offer to play someone's game for them still stands.1 point

What's wrong with Ghosts?
Xethius reacted to Commander_Undies for a topic
(I'm mobile so bare with my mistakes.) I might be late to the party... And no one will probably care what the underpants thinks. But... Here it goes. I haven't played Ghosts as much as I would have liked to simply because of my personal happenings. I've also been enjoying some other games. But back to Call of Duty. My favorite of the franchise was CoD4 and MW2. I loved what Treyarch had to offer, but I could NOT stand their crappy connections. That's why I started to hate CoD. CoD4 and MW2 had the best connection for me. MW3, for me had good connection but the game didn't have those things from Treyarch that I liked. So it was a step backwards, but hey, I could still play it since there wasn't that Treyarch lag that I hated so much. So I still liked it. Ghosts came out and from what I've played, the connection is fine. That's the most important thing to me. Call me crazy, I know. Sure it doesn't have all the goodies that Treyarch puts in their games, but I could play it. I don't like some of the things in Ghosts like the maps absolutely suck and the challenges always rotating ticks me off. But the fact that I can play with minimal lag, makes me not mind playing it. Since the new consoles came out, there is a division and I really only ever play with Matt or John when I'm not busy. I feel like I am getting tired of the formula of Call of Duty though. Ultimately, I don't care if we're playing Call of Duty, Battlefield or My Little Pony. I just wanna play with you guys, full homo. So let me know what you guys are playing whenever I win the lotto and get a PS4. Ktnxbye.1 point -
