PS4 Exclusivity Reduced

DLC maps and other crap instead of being a 30 day exclusive on PS4 has now been cut to just 7 days.  This is much fairer on gamers - 30 days was just too much on an already stale format.

That is much better. Console exclusivity for 3rd party games is just stupid and benefits only publishers.

Whilst it's always nice to be on the platform that gets the exclusivity, it isn't ideal to gamers.

Having said this, I still think some exclusivity is okay if it means that Sony/Microsoft are paying extra funds towards the game developers. 7 days feels about right now.

This rarely happens sadly - most of the time the money is going straight to AAA publishers shareholders. Thankfully exclusivity like this is becoming less attractive because it's more costly for the game to piss the community off and miss out of revenue from sales rather than the lump sum offered for the timed exclusive rights.
