I tend to find that if I die early on then I have no problem wanting to jump back in and try again. It's just getting to the last few players that fucks me up. I've come 2nd a few times and immediately had to go and have a lie down. I would expect it means a ton of content drops for the rest of the year. Also 382,000 were online earlier playing which is huge especially when you had 500,000+ in CSGO, DOTA 2 and a shitload in the likes of Overwatch, LoL and all the other popular games. Not bad for an early access title that costs a fair bit and requires a beefy PC to run.
