Looking to get another few Sandbox style games for PS3/ Xbox360

My son and I really enjoyed the Infamous series, so I want to keep with games of that style if possible.

I already have Mass Effect 1-3, so no worries there. Also GTA sucks now, unless they have radically changed the driving mechanics since the failure that was GTA4.

what other ones are out there that are worth picking up?

Luke 23:34
'And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't think it be like it is, but it do."

How is GTA5? As I said above, GTA4 is absolute shit.

Ok, Just Cause 2 is epic. Really, really good. Red Dead is also excellent and probably goes for a fiver if you go online. Saints Row 3 is also fun, in a GTA sort of way, but with loads of funky humour thrown in.

The batman games are open world, and very good indeed...

Batman arkham asylum

Batman arkham city

Batman arkham origins

And GTA 5 is very good, the driving is nothing like 4 at all... 4 was atrocious handling on all the vehicles, 5 is a lot better IMO...

GTAV for a quick bang, but if you want something that'll last try out State of Decay on the 360, kind of a zombie survival beat em up sandbox.

I know they're old but if you're after pure fun open world games, I loved both the Crackdown and Prototype series.

I second State of Decay, love it on the PC.

I was just getting ready to ask about Prototype?

One thing I need to keep in mind here is this is something my son will play with me, so Ultra-Violence is sort of out the window. Infamous was awesome in that there was no blood and it was basically a comic book.

...yeah... you might want to skip prototype actually...

Sabatouer...

An epic game that was, sadly, not finished before the studio that was making in closed.

Great fun, epic story.

Basically, it's Grand Theft Auto+Assassin's Creed set in Nazi-occupied France.

There's tons to do on it.

Mafia 2

"I'm goin' in!"

Microsoft had an old open world monster truck game that I loved. There was a dirt bike one too that was dope. Great for kids. I don't remember the names of them though. -_-

I've only ever played the newest Saints row but I love it. Great suggestions above!
