I have no idea what to think of this.  I'm hooked on Sekiro at the moment.  But anything extending Elden Rings universe even more, I'm in.

I've watched quite a lot of gameplay of this and I'm really not sure what they are trying to achieve. It's only a technical test but there's no in-game communication and the gameplay framework is just strange. Conceptually it seems like a fan made mod and the way it's executed doesn't feel do dissimilar either. Gonna keep my eye on it regardless but I'm not sure if this will sit well with the majority especially for £40. The Souls modding scene is pretty huge and you see creators producing 25-40 hour campaigns for Dark Souls 1 and 3 with everything built from scratch and with Shadow of the Erdtree not being as well-received either, it feels like they are souring things.

Not surprised by the mixed reviews - really silly concept and I will never understand what they were going for. I think some of the positive reviews are reaching but they are too scared to give it a lower score in fear of a backlash.

I think it was always going to get mixed reviews as an expansion style update will never hit as well as the first installment of the game. I bet most Elden Ring lovers will absolute love this new one. Not sure what things you'd change from a model that many loved - and by not changing much, critics will end up having a go at it. Not sure they can win on the review side.
