Loved the first game but the second i swerved as it changed what was good about the original, with floaty parkour and they also nerfed night-time. This looks like a return to form.

Ha ha yeah must agree on that, the 'humour' wore thin very quickly for me. They took the first game and went ham with it in it's follow up games and it just became annoying.

Compared to what though? Does my shotgun shoot in waves? does my pistol turn into a grenade? Do I have to listen to Villains talk like drunk white frat boys attempting to sound like hip hop artists? BL1 had a solid balance IMO of gimmicky weapons, and dialogue that was funny. IDK man, these games are clearly not for me, I'm going to go yell at kids on my lawn

Long before Tubthumping there was this banger from Leeds : ) -
The PC space is pretty awesome for games right now, here's another new one, a cross between Stalker and Tarkov. Wish I had time for it but winter is coming and I'm sure I'll give it a go : )
-
Apparently the game itself is actually quite decent this time around, just ruined by the shoddy optimisation.

Some good news on this game came out yesterday and they've confirmed that all clans will now be available in the base game at launch. I'm very happy about this. It launches on 21st October and may well be a (rare these days) day one purchase for me. -
I hear there's going to be some kind of update on the single player before the end of the month. That's all I really want to know about now and the only thing likely to tempt me into an October purchase.

Now added to Steam. It's free, so its getting a lot of people playing. Good game, not bad for a Tarkov rip off to be fair and they've dialled back the pay to win elements, which is nice.

I still prefer 1, but 2 wasn't bad. Tiny Tina ruined it for me. That and the constant need to have weapons do things other than shoot straight was just way to much.

A closer look at two of the larger maps on launch - Firestorm and Mirak Valley. or

Randy Pitchfork making a complete tit of himself as usual. He stated to expect performance issues and when people start complaining having bought the game about the woeful problems that were far worse than he remotely suggested, he takes it out on the customers. There's people reportedly getting under 60fps on 5090's. 'Code Your Own Engine and Show Us How It's Done' — Randy Pitchford Goes on the Offensive as Borderlands 4 PC Performance Row Intensifies - IGN WWW.IGN.COM Randy Pitchford is on the offensive when it comes to Borderlands 4 PC performance, responding directly to complaints on social media to Claptrap back at disgruntled fans.

I've tried it because it's on GamePass. I just can't seem to get along with it, same as with the first game. MetroidVania is probably my favourite type of game as well.

After enjoying how they did Dahmer I think this might be even better. After a teaser trailer this is the latest one, and fair play Charlie Hunnam.

I actually preferred playing FM on mobile as it was a slimmed down version similar to the old Championship Manager games. Hopefully this interface will be much more user friendly and less overwhelming to navigate.

Looks like it wasn't very well-received on Playstation and I bet Game Pass dominated the player counts.
-
I really REALLY like the UI. Its such a dealbreaker on these games, and probably why I can never get into the last 10-15 years of this game as it felt so overwhelming. If they can make that easier to flow and use so there's more gameplay rather than tinkering the absolute minute detail then I'm all for it.

It was even going for £2.99 on Steam. I still didn't buy it🤣 The amount of content you get at launch on these games is minimal and we've already experienced half the original maps of BF6 just from playing the beta alone and I must admit I was bored of all of them in just a few hours. The only bad thing about not playing the latest MP game at launch is you miss the game at its peak when the community is alive. I'm really not sure I can justify paying £60 for this though and I'm not sold on how the developers are taking this game forward along with EA's long term vision of the franchise.

Exactly, we can criticize EA a lot, but unlike other licenses, a few years after the release of the games, we have very interesting prices.
-
Very wise. In fact I saw that BF2042 was going for as little as £5 quite recently.

Do like me, buy 3 years after release, I'm having fun on bf5 and there are a lot of people ! 😁 The beta didn't convince me. I have high hopes for the mod portal and modding (I don't know much about it), but I'll be keeping a close eye on its release.
-
After last year's debacle, I am tempted to grab this. Looks like they've made some key improvements Also a much-improved matchday engine
-
Yep, first two were excellent and had a certain charm to them, I enjoyed them a lot. If I want a Borderlands experience I can always go back to them, 2 still holds up really well.
