  3. You say that but gamers have changed. They gorge content and their brains can't cope if the game looks the same as Day 1. They need/crave change. Its unreal to the extent this happens. People are quick to move on to something new so I get why developers release content over time. Also focuses the mind to build up to certain dates and events with friends. This ain't gonna change anytime soon given how long it takes to make a AAA game now. I've ordered the game, comes tomorrow from Amazon. I like the amount of people talking about this of late. We should embrace that and try and get behind a solid game like this and give it some airtime. Don't think I've played another BF game where the gunplay comes anywhere near BF6.
  4. I'm glad its till 4 player co-op on this one. A great find too as I've not heard about this game at all! That flying dropkick is hilarious. I'll probably add it on my Xmas wishlist, but could get it slightly before as you'd expect it to come down to around £40 soon. The first one was such good fun, so many of us picked it up too and it was mental at night. The video you've shared seems like its very similar which is great news.

  6. One of the COD leakers has said that the no SBMM matchmaking will be in this game but they don't know if it's the default matchmaking or if it will be a separate playlist. Obviously it needs to be default with SBMM reserved for rank play. If it's in its own playlist then I'll just be sticking to that.
  7. You know I joked but also meant it 😄 I've always been a believer that near enough everything is cyclical, so I won't be suprised to see a boom at some point. I do think we have a chance of another gaming market crash though. Like James says above, the way that people consume stuff these days, a developer can't keep up and the pay in relation to work/life balance is just not good in any way. With Microsoft seemingly moving more and more away from the market, could be a good time for a new emergent to come in if they can figure out a way to break it.
  8. The new exotic mission apparently looks okay, but people are sharing it feels pretty empty. Its such a hard one to balance out now as most common Destiny players that enjoy what its stood for, expect really integral exotic missions, or some form of long mission that has multiple steps. We aren't gonna get that now with the way they can't churn out content to match the cycle of what consumers want. They'll get a spike for the Star Wars collab coming soon. We'll have to just see what actually comes with it that stays and holds people's interest. Now, more than ever though, is enough evidence that gamers way of thinking shows that they just should've made Destiny 3 and took the heat for not being able to crossover weapons. Gamers get butthurt for so many silly reasons and that would've gone away quickly if a new game was out.

  10. As Destiny 2 hits is lowest ever daily peak for Steam concurrent players, Bungie U-turns on controversial plan to reset player power next season | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Bungie continues to prod at a fundamentally broken system.
  11. I don't like subscriptions in general and they soon mount up. Most people probably have 5-6 across media, entertainment and shopping and this could easily cost close to £100 a month soon. Also when lead companies make moves, other ones follow suit - Nintendo put their games up to £70 recently and like lapdogs, EA and Microsoft were on it within a week. People subbed to the Game Pass for a year will now pay $360 which is crazy! I've said it before, but the Game Pass was originally great value for the gamer but absolutely terrible for developers and it's even worse now even with the increase of price, because the pot share is far more competitive. This is easily one of the worst business models in the industry that in the long run will sink developers because they make pittances per install but are bailed out because Microsoft is their owner or affiliate. When Microsoft shafts them due to a lack of success like they have done with so many already like Tango Gameworks, it will destroy so many studios and careers because no matter how good the games are, they area buried within a bloated pass and cannot earn any money anywhere near to cover internal costs. Epic have stabbed so many developers in the back trying to topple Steam and Microsoft are going the same way with their fruitless attempt to dent the Playstation market share. They really need to abandon this pass altogether. People be far better off spending $15-20 a month on games in the Steam sales and to hell with paying for a console and the online requirement.
  12. You joke about it and whether or not it is another topic of conversation but I suspect we will see it go round full circle. Digital is great and conveniant and has been for some time however as prices of all these subscriptions increase and mount up they won't hold their appeal forever. We are seeing it now with people returning to vinyl with music again, people also like to own things.
