$1000 ouch Asus ROG Xbox Ally X – The Final Preview - IGN WWW.IGN.COM Everything you need to know about the upcoming Xbox handheld.

Yeah it's complete nonsense. 95% of stock is already landed so they are upping the price on products already shipped that retailers are selling on commission. The game pass isn't performing as well as it should, they've also culled several studios and cancelled many games plus money is being freed up and funnelled into their AI division. Plus the acquisition of Bethesda and Activision is a monumental debt on their books that needs to be turned around. I would love for them to release a detailed breakdown on how much revenue each game makes as a dividend on the game pass especially when compared to retail and projected potential missed. That would be telling.

They are blaming the tarriff's, but they are made predominantly in China aren't they? So I get the arguement then for raising prices in the US but not elsewhere. I suspect this is more that they are not making as much money from the consoles as they had hoped, they don't seem to understand that it is solely their fault. I mean everyone enjoys an era where games are more open and available on all consoles but the only first party stuff Microsoft has made since the launch of these consoles is flight simulator & Gears of war remastered remastered for a second time. There is no reason in today's world to buy an xbox console as far as I can see, to sell a product it still need's to have something that makes it stand out from competitors and they just don't have that. They have completely bottle this era, I mean Sony have not done a good job but Microsoft just blew them out of the water.

For the second time in 4 months, Microsoft have raised their Xbox console prices - this time between $20 and $80. This means the cheapest unit is $400 and the most expensive is $800. Absolutely laughable.

I would be upset too, however the draw of battlefield (much like COD and such) has never been the single player.... The rumblings come out of play tests and such are quite positive on the multiplayer front and I am decided on picking it up. I can't see them getting it as wrong as the last game, it won't be quite Battlefield as I have always loved it with the obvious influences from ex Call of Duty people and such but I can see it being a bit of a fairly enjoyable middle ground and certainly better than the rubbish that the latest Call of Duty is looking like.

Campaign looks a bit underwhelming. BF1 and 5's were lacklustre by design and BF4's was forgettable. Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3's were excellent and this game looks way off what those achieved. This almost looks like a MW2019 Spec Ops experience of just running and gunning soulless scenes and picking up weapons.

Saw the MP trailer last night and it looks like a fusion of games we got 10 or so years ago. Looks more polished than BO6 but it still appears incredibly generic.

A breakdown video of the MP trailer + new details about MP. There are 16 maps at launch. 10 of them are medium sized. Thanks fuck they aren't all tiny again! My main gripe is the perk balance. The Perk 1 slot has all of the most useful perks and Perk 3 slot has perks that are pretty much useless.

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2

If you do please keep me updated, I want to buy it but have Fifa and Battlefield as purchases soon so I can probably afford another biggish game at a push so will take a bit longer seeing what reviews are like on things before picking one (or maybe pick up a new retro title). -
Sadly, until people stop pre-ordering, and buying during the first week, this sort of behavior from studios will continue

Personally, I love it! My only complaint is the runbacks before bosses, like in the first HK. And there are one or two areas I really dont like. I enjoy the difficulty, but for the average player, it can be off-putting. BUT mods are available to simplify the experience (with Nexus Mod) Otherwise, it's rich in detail and content, and the movements are much more fluid and satisfying compared to the first HK For those who loved the first HK, this is a very good sequel. And for $20 ?? Thanks, Team Cherry! A little fun fact about the game: I learned that one of the game's bosses (Seth) was designed by a young fan with cancer (sadly since deceased) who was able to meet Team Cherry. The boss has the same first name and is the subject of an important quest to complete the game.

This looks much better and I think it's free to all owners of Dying Light 2 premium. I don't think I'll be paying £50 though so I will wait for a sale. The original was iconic but I never got round to the second one as they made some foolish mistakes and it took them 2-3 years to fix them to a degree. Even then, it didn't look like it was anywhere near as good as the original which has aged like fine wine and I still regard that as having one of the best atmospheres in gaming. It's an incredible deal if you can play this for free though!

You can't play for more than 30 minutes without the framerate taking a nosedive on consoles. The solution? Restart your game 🤣 There is absolutely no way in hell that Gearbox didn't know this was an issue before release. Unless they didn't play test their own game.

As i did both the first and second game only seems right I have to get this one. Haven't even seen any clips or read up on this one.

Loved the first game but the second i swerved as it changed what was good about the original, with floaty parkour and they also nerfed night-time. This looks like a return to form.
-
Ha ha yeah must agree on that, the 'humour' wore thin very quickly for me. They took the first game and went ham with it in it's follow up games and it just became annoying.

Compared to what though? Does my shotgun shoot in waves? does my pistol turn into a grenade? Do I have to listen to Villains talk like drunk white frat boys attempting to sound like hip hop artists? BL1 had a solid balance IMO of gimmicky weapons, and dialogue that was funny. IDK man, these games are clearly not for me, I'm going to go yell at kids on my lawn

Long before Tubthumping there was this banger from Leeds : ) -
The PC space is pretty awesome for games right now, here's another new one, a cross between Stalker and Tarkov. Wish I had time for it but winter is coming and I'm sure I'll give it a go : )
-
Apparently the game itself is actually quite decent this time around, just ruined by the shoddy optimisation.

Some good news on this game came out yesterday and they've confirmed that all clans will now be available in the base game at launch. I'm very happy about this. It launches on 21st October and may well be a (rare these days) day one purchase for me. -
I hear there's going to be some kind of update on the single player before the end of the month. That's all I really want to know about now and the only thing likely to tempt me into an October purchase.
-
Now added to Steam. It's free, so its getting a lot of people playing. Good game, not bad for a Tarkov rip off to be fair and they've dialled back the pay to win elements, which is nice.

I still prefer 1, but 2 wasn't bad. Tiny Tina ruined it for me. That and the constant need to have weapons do things other than shoot straight was just way to much.
