    I hit level 50, thanks mainly to a really easy daily challenge (thanks Bungie) and a guy on my friends list dropping onto my fire team so we could steam roller public events and lost sectors. Full set of armour on each character and a bunch of ornaments earned .

    So how arepeople getting on with this? Im level 40 but struggling to see how I will get the time to hit level 50 (need really easy daily milestone please Bungie). Have actually got fully armour for all three characters and about 6 of the possible 15 ornaments

    Crimson is great, essential if you are doing those 5 renown lost sectors as well

    It’s very hard to say this is what people want Lee, Cos they all want different things. So best Bungie can do is design the event to give reasonable rewards for reasonable efforts for the hardcore who care about collecting, and they have missed the mark with faction rallies I consider myself hardcore (although with limited time) and out of this event I want 3 guardians each to have a full set of ornamented gear, each guardian to be a different faction , and all 3 catalysts. The event design makes this pretty much impossible especially running over the summer holidays

    Oh Bungie how could you....anyone running multiple characters has got a horrible grind to come, all the ornament unlock challanges are not account wide , they are character specific. And you can’t start them until you have earned a full set of armour through token grinding for RNG engram drops. Uugh (Not sure the grind will be much better for people running only 1 character, different issue but must be tough)

    Dead orbit of course, there is only 1 faction! i think the key to this is making sure you do the daily faction rally challenge to get the bonus tokens. I did it on 2 characters this morning, got over 100 tokens which is 5 levels. Might be tougher on fewer characters though At Lee , I’m pretty sure the progress you make on a faction will carry forward to the next rally during season 3. I think anything else would be massively unpopular with the player base

    I hold out hope they will do something with armour. The best grind in D1 was aiming for tier 12 stats with perfect perks for the play style you wanted. Bringing that back would be immense but it’s not even talked about. Sadly i I think they have been pushed to focus on random rolls for weapons but TBH for PvE no god roll is going to be better than a masterwork weapon. The orb creationi is too good a perk to be replaced by anything else. Obviously you can masterwork a god roll so it does add something but not a huge amount over and above orb creation. So that leaves god rolls for PvP in my opinion and just tips the balance towards good players who spend ages in PvP. Not sure that’s exactly what is needed (the gap between quickplay and competitive is already huge, this makes it huger).

    I would bet they are locked for season 3 though, to encourage participation in the event.

    Same here, in fact that exact split as well. Also if you miss an event or part of it and fail to max out its then impossible to get everything. Not a great move. Although I suspect getting to level 50 won’t be that tough unless you don’t have much game time

    Probably a mechanic to drag the content out, 3 faction rallies spread over season 3 perhaps, do 1 faction at a time?

    Oh and Bungie have addressed the 9 man issue in the TWAB. This is a 3 person event, we are just struggling as we are under light so try and get more people in. Will be doable as light gets higher, apparently

    Anyone worked out how the loot works. I got to round 6 but done seem to have any loot. I got a key you can use at some he end of round 7 but that’s all?

    Got my 10 escalations done ( got to round 6 whilst just popping by on patrol). Had a really strange thing on the previous step, the herioc adventure. I basically got a rock hard version of the herioc with two heavily shielded yellow bar psions, really difficult to kill. Eventually I quit and went in again with Charlie, and ended up with a slightly harder version of the original adventure. Was really wierd.

    Good progress on milestones, nightfall’s, call to arms, flashpoint , clan, all done on 3 characters. EoW done on Titan. Need to grind a lot of heroic strikes to get that milestone done as well.

    Im just doing the challenges each day to get tokens to try and drop a full set of armour. I’m doing ok, more losses than wins but not that fussed as even losses give you tokens

    I’ve got to round 3 but it’s pretty tough at current light levels. The need for 9 man fireteams is very real!

    Yes there’s a lot of complaints about people being bullied into inviting people, making them party leader and getting kicked , so clans can get 9 together. Bungie need to sort it if they can , only took 4 years to get ‘delete from vault’ so might take some time

    I’d be up for giving this a go, have got past level 1, just needs a bunch of us
