Hey Mike, I would suggest that you start with Wikipedia which has a wealth of information and then you at the list of reference for each of the articles. You can then look up those books and see if they are available. You could also look at first year University programs. Some offer Mythology and try to determine which textbook they use. University text books are often expensive but they might have them at the library.

What I saw looked like Crysis 3 meets CoD. The jumping, shields, melee and invisibility were all available in Crysis but the were not overpowered because they had a limit and drained energy. I'm still on the fence with any CoD. I've gotten rather bored with Video games lately. Even destiny got repetitive pretty quickly. I'll wait to see the user reviews.

Here a site the lists the number of pre-orders for the USA if you are interested You'll see that destiny is by far the leader with about 1.2M orders on all platforms Call of duty (which is further away) has about 170K orders most of which are for the Xbox (one and 360). The PS3 orders for the game didn't even make the top 40? I guess it's an interesting indication that people might be ready to look at something new BF4 hardline doesn't make the list on any platform

Origin is allowing people to play BF4 on the PC free for 1 week. I got the information from Battlelog here. If they had match making you could pickup another player that has been put into the queue and complete the mission. Sort of like host migration works.

4+ hours straight is unhealthy as well. People already sit on their ass for too long during the day. It's even a problem for after school. You don't have 6 hrs straight to spare. When are those guys supposed to have diner and do home work if that is the target audience. Perhaps some parents would allow it but I wouldn't. If one of the kids was to tell me they aren't going to eat dinner because they have to play a game for another 2 hours, I'd unplug the console. Sounds like a stupid plan

Yep, MP is hard if you try to early because higher levels will have much better guns and armor. I found myself unloading a complete clip to have my opponents be at half health when done. It will not be balanced at all. Best way to handle is to level up in story mode or co-op

Judging from the reaction on the BF forums it seems like it isn't a big loss. EA had to announce it yesterday because the announced revenues to the share holders. Having what was believe to be 2 big titles be a dude had to be addressed. EA is already being sued by share holders for not disclosing information that had a negative impact on revenue (the shitty state of major titles mainly). Pre-orders for the game were apparently very low. I believe it ranked 18th for upcoming games. I cannot find that reference anymore but it came from a stock market analyst. I'm a fan of BF and I wasn't going to get on release day. Too expensive for the actual content.

I don't think W/L is necessarily good either. Especially for CoD. If you put some of the guys on this forum on the same team all the time and end up playing randoms it's almost a guarantied win. The random guys might be pretty good but was playing against a stacked deck. The above formula looks a bit like the BF skill calculation with has SPM, Objective and K/D included in the calculation. The problem with that is that it is relatively undocumented and most people don't know that it means

If he was like me yesterday I was literally moving in slow motion. So I tested my connection and PSN said I had 40M down and 5M up so it wasn't my internet. Tried again, same problem so I left.

I agree. I also agree with having it in TDM. Your example of 4-1 vs 15-5 is a bit extreme but I player with a lower score while maintaining a positive k/d is less of a liability to the team at that point and therefore "playing the objective" which is to get more kills than deaths. Protecting the K/D can be a liability to the team in other modes. You particularly see it in games like BF conquest or rush where you need to either get the flag or protect the flag. If you are a defender in rush who gives a shit how many times you die as long as you ensure that the other team runs out of tickets before the destroy the objectives. Score or score per minute seems to be the better stat.

That's why the online game is good. Always player to play. Also if you build and entire online set, you can exchange it for a paper set. People have a hard time with the pricing because the online cards cost the same as paper. There are a number of online stores that allow you to purchase the cards and it's cheaper. Depending on which format you want to play it can be expensive because you have to constantly update your cards. I use to play a rat based deck and a burn deck that was pretty cheap to build. I am sure you can build something similar.

It's yugioh for grown ups if that means anything to you. It's been around for over 20 years and has a competitive league. The prizes are $250K at a tournament which is pretty significant for a card game
