You can setup a LAN game and select bots, the number of bots per team and the bots difficulty level. I think I tried it once or twice and I believe I had access to all of the gear when I did. One game I played was DOM and my friking bots didn't PTFO just like the real thing The other feature is combat readiness. I am not 100% sure how it works. I believe it's an anonymous people and bot setup. I don't think there is any chat. I tried it twice to see what it was and getting a match took a lot of time and the connection was awful so I don't think it is used very much. You can still split screen (on the PS4 anyways)

I wouldn't mind depending on the game. ME3 for example could be fun yet painfull (what button does what again ) Some of those servers are probably pretty slow these days

I haven't done the raid. I just don't have the time or I am not one when you guys are one which is mostly evenings. I have family responsibilities around that time. I do strike a lot. I'll probably create a number of characters and just do the patrols on earth. That work but is slow going. Protecting the warsaw and killing the spider can pretty much be soloed with decent gear. I've done the daily strike at level 28 (im 27) but that can be a lengthy pain in the ass solo as well depending on the mission. Having another decent character is making more and more sense since that will help for the weekly strikes also. I have some decent gear exotic gear for a hunter that I haven't used because it is only level 12 or 13, maybe I'll scrapped that and continue with my warlock. Does dismantling provide the same number of shards regardless of upgrading or not? What does legendary give you? What does exotic give you? It takes no time at all to earn legendary stuff with marks if I had to and dismantle that maybe

How are you guys getting your ascendant shards? I get plenty of energy but shards elude me. Even in the daily mission on level 28. I need a bunch to level up. All my armor is ready to go but I lack the materials

Have you guys tried it? It's actually a fun mode if you can get a team that PTFO. It's awful if you have people protecting their K/D or playing for their streaks. You can accumulate a lot of points with it, It's also pretty well balanced. I played to a tie 3/4 times yesterday

It think it depends on the type of sights/optics you use. I noticed that some are very slow compared to iron. Thermal for example.

Interference is possible. Do you have neighbors close by? Routers usualy can support multiple channels and you need to make sure that you aren't using the same channels. Usually the channels assign automatically but it is possible to set them manually. I don't think that's the problem since you said your aren't particularly technical. It very hard to change those accidentally.

Are you close to the router when you do the test? I have 50 Mb at home and I can get as little as 2 Mb in some rooms. Also check how you configure the wireless 802.11n is the most versatile. I've seen cases where I set my up in a certain way where the speed is very slow and I set it up for n at it works fine (although it shouldn't make a difference).

I noticed that you also seem to be team dependant (more) to get you streaks. If you have a bad team it takes no time to get spawn trapped on many of these maps. I play mostly domination. If your team doesn't play the objectives or cap the flags its pretty miserable. Many of the streaks have a support option in the configuration menu. So if you are the type of player that racks up a lot of points by dies many times along the way that may be worth a look. I run UVA, care package and vulcan. I'll probably change over to system hack once it is available. Many of the streaks have to be controlled manually also which makes them risky to use. You don't want to stop to use one of those lower streaks just to have yourself killed and end your streaks. I think that's actually all good. It balances things out nicely and most of the streaks aren't over powered anyways

Are you guys having any success with the SMGs? I seem to be losing all gun fights to ARs with trying to use them. ARs seem much more dominant thus far

They probably weren't allowed to by Activision. That way those greedy bastard get to charge us for 2 games. However I do like it so far

So far so good for me. I had one bad connection out of maybe 10. Played domination and I am enjoy it. I like being able to create custom classes right away. It has bots for fun and combat readiness which seems like training with bots. When I die its because I was shot fair and square, so I can live with that. The exo suits aren't over powered as far as I can tell and make the game different enough to be fun.

Day zero was supposed to be pre-order by a certain date. However I don't think the pre-order numbers are as huge as in the pass so everything might be day zero edition. It might have been with certain retailers also. I could get mine a midnight tonight. I'm picking it up at 8am tomorrow however. Tomorrow is supposed to be double xp all day

I wonder if he got sacked for divulging NDA material. 20 nm is also not the automatic cost savings that new nodes use to be. We design a lot of chips and the 20 nm as not cheaper. The reduce power, increase density and increase performance.
