I know that Skyrim is saved on Steam so you don't have to move it. Don't know about the Batman. At least it was on my account when I installed a new disk

Dave, I won't argue with you since I know little about the Nvidia one. I am sure you are correct about a single driver for all products (I know ATI/AMD works that way), however I suspect that the driver configures itself based on the card that is present. I has too because of the type of memory, PCIE interface, RAMDAC settings and a bunch of other functions. I guess in the end it does not matter if we can get Mike going again

Keep in mind that when you install the new GPU you will now have 2 variables. You will have new hardware and new drivers for that GPU card. So it will be difficult for you to determine if the problem is GPU or driver related. If it doesn't work then the problem is probably with the operating system Patrick

I would re-install the drivers for the card, DirectX and perhaps the media player for windows. I believe you issue in a video/graphics configuration/driver issue. Do you have a lot of data on you disk? Do you have the windows install disk? When my system was having problems (due to malware) I just re-installed windows. You will need to download some drivers before you do that. Mostly the internet ones. That could be you last resort

The blue port you have is a COMs port (serial IO). Your MB does not have integrated Video unfortunately

So are you saying that you have now Installed windows 8? The DxDiag that you ran showed Windows7. You might gave to re-install you graphics/Video drivers if you installed another operating system. Those are often customized to operate on a specific operating system Run the diagnostics again if you upgraded the operating system

The game UI is much much better on a PC because a PC uses a keyboard for most things. The biggest issue for me is they really didn't bother with a guide or instructions for the PS4. It's bad planning if they want to attract new players. I think my biggest issue is lag with the UI. They are very unresponsive. I noticed that if I go very very slow then the menues come up but who wants stupid slow menus when they are getting show at I know what Dids was saying when giving me points. However using a mouse of the spawn menu goes much better. I think most of my issue are PC to PS4 porting issues I think if the used the DPAD and touch pad better it would go a long way the NA servers is still pretty starved however

Unfortunately the game is pretty lacklustre for me. Spawning is pretty terrible. It seem to work much better on the PC. I can't seem to spawn on objective or squad mates. The game seems to be spawn, run around for 5 minutes shoot someone or be shot. Repeat at Nauseum I noticed that no one in my proximity knew how to play. They didn't even know how to throw a frag, The other half spoke spanish. Since I no habla espanol we were all a bunch of chickens with are heads cutoff. I might try it once more. If it doesn't get better I come back to it much later (perhaps)

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like anyone in NA is playing when I am on. I think I got to rank level 6 or 7 yesterday. The game is ok but nothing great so far. For me it lacks a user interface. I can understand the challenges the design team had since it was designed for PC which uses a keyboard but accessing certain things with the PS4 controller is less than optimum. I need to understand how to spawn with those controls better. It use to be fairly straight forward with the PC. It's not working so well for me with the controller. The was a lot of lag and connection issues at the end of my session. It started off well, I am not sure what happened. I try again later today to see.

I know that on the PC you could force it, but it had to be character specific. I think most of the Servers are on the west coast From where I am assuming the distance is about the same (depending where in Europe) It's 4700 Km to LA or 5300 Km to London. So I'd like to be able to chose based on server population. As for the start up issues. You get what you pay for Seriously however, a lot of the issues are due to the PSN store and people not being able to buy stuff correctly. Ironic for a "free 2 play" game. They didn't want to launch day 1 without people being able to buy because it would make the launch day revenues $0.

Have you figured out if NA will be able to play with Europe? The group here is well represented with both but I think that we will not be able to go on each others servers (unfortunately)

I've been trying to play it. Let me know if you can find Servers with people on them. I've spent most of my time running around trying to find someone to shoot.

The issues that are mentioned are typically on the larger servers so they occur on the PC and new gen consoles I too had nothing but trouble with water maps. The amount of rubber banding is pretty excessive. I found that it ran better on the PS3 than my PS4.

See if you can redownload you Directx. I think you should have 11. I believe 12 is available but not compatible with windows 7.

I don't know how much you know about computers I'll try to give you all the instructions here. I might miss a step so if it doesn't work let me know but try the following Click the windows start Icon Right click computer then select properties With your mouse click on the windows experience Index Then click on adjust visual Graphics. I don't have somewhere to upload the my image right now so I can't show you what it looks like. Wish I could simply paste an image but I can't it seems See what the index says. It should be pretty good for that graphics card if I remember correctly

Listen to Tommy. Update the graphics first. You had 2 applications which stream the video (LoL and Youtube). That could be the internet connection. Try http://www.speedtest.net/to see if the speed meets your expectation and what you are paying for. Skyrim runs locally so it doesn't access internet, which leads me to believe it isn't an internet problem. Since the other two don't access disk much, that leads me to beleive it isn't a disk problem Do you guys have a virus checker and popup blocker on the system. Some malware will slow down your computer in order to trick you into buying services to speed it up. You might want to run a Virus check to see if there is anything there. My ISP provides a Virus checker with the Services, maybe yours does also if you haven't got one installed. Did you guys restart the machine? Sometimes windows updates need to be installed and that slows the machine and is a real pain in the ass

I also suggest you ask for a little bit of help first. Given the number of people who have PCs you might saves yourself some money. As far as Geek squad goes, they are competent (at least in Ottawa they are). They are expensive as mentioned however.
