I've heard a few people over the past few weeks on not sure what to do, or its overwhelming, and where the hell do I start. I thought if we have a thread on what you're struggling on then maybe people who are out there on the game more often can give some advice. Regardless of what specifically you are lost on e.g. quests, way to play, bounties, etc. I would argue the first thing to do when you jump back in is do the Invitation quest from the Sweeper Bot. Within 30 minutes you'll eventually have 690 Power Level minimum (doesn't matter if its blues) which allows you to go into other activities at a good advantage. Think about what you wanna do in the game too - gain weapons, obtain exotics, get catalysts for exotics, do challenging missions, do endgame activities, get armour, etc. That way we can kinda help you know what could be a starting point. Let's hear what you wanna know.

I believe I read its coming to all platforms - PC, XB1 and PS4. Cant see any reason why it shouldn't if you ask me.

Funnily enough, I'm a little like @techno as I've enjoyed some Banner and weirdly doing abut of Snipering. The Beloved works really well for it with a good roll. I think just like any other IB, grouping is the best way forward. I've not looked at the quest or bounties apart from pick them up. I seem to have done the first step of the quest after one night so over a full season it should be okay. There was a suggestion though that at the end of the quest it gives you a fully masterworked Felwinters Lie Shotgun - now that would be perfect. Will have to stay locked away in my sordid dreams.

That's the thing guys, you dont need to all over FG like you used to. It's about being here when you can. I'm around to remind people about their FG family. I think it's great you still come here, like I said, your words, reading posts and keeping in contact means a lot to people, more than just me.

Just dropped tonight from Bungie: Destiny JOIN UP SIGN IN BUY DESTINY 2 THE GAMEexpand_more COMMUNITYexpand_more NEWS HELPexpand_more STORE Triumphs Collections Game History Refer-a-Friend Rewards Redeem Codes View Profile Settings Sign Out Loading... FALL EVERVERSE CHANGES 2h - Destiny Dev Team Hey everyone, Like we did a few weeks ago on the Livestream, we’re going to continue to talk about how Destiny will continue to evolve this Fall and beyond. This update is about how we’re changing Eververse. We’ve already made a number of changes to Eververse in Season of Opulence (we’ve redesigned the store, we’ve made Bright Engrams only include Year 1 gear—and have it bias heavily toward giving you items you haven’t unlocked in your Collections), and we’re going to make more changes to the economy, store, and armor in this fall’s patch. Armor It stinks to go to the Eververse store and see an item that looks cool and then seeing that the item has bad perks on it. In fact, when we’re setting up the armor, we’d twist ourselves up in knots to make sure the Eververse armor sets didn’t have good perks. We did this because we want the best way to get sweet perks on your armor to be by playing the game, not shopping for enhanced Hand Cannon loaders at Tess. The root cause (dating all the way back to Destiny 1) is that Eververse armor has always had perks/gameplay capability as a part of the package. We’re done with that. As of this September, allEververse armor is being converted into Universal Ornaments. These Universal Ornaments can be applied to all of the Legendary armor sets we’re releasing this Fall. They override the look of your equipped gear while preserving the perks, mods, and stats of the original item. Any Eververse Armor you have acquired in your Collections will have its Universal Ornaments automatically unlocked for use on new Legendary armor. For example, if the song in your heart is to have your Titan roll with the 2018 Tin Man-esque Festival of the Lost Helmet, you can put it on any of the new Legendary armor coming to the game this fall. Work in progress build. Evolving Bright Dust Historically, the best way to earn Bright Dust in Destiny 2 has been to buy a bunch of Bright Engrams, shard everything from the engrams, build a giant bankroll of Bright Dust and then spend it when the Warlock Dire Ahamkara helmet shows up the Bright Dust row in the last week of the season. We’re going to change this. This Fall we’re changing Bright Dust from a pay- and/or play-to-earn currency to a play-to-earn reward. We’re adding Bright Dust as a reward for completing Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit bounties. We want all players to earn Dust for playing, not for spending money and destroying a bunch of items in their inventory. After you complete all your bounties for the week, there will be an additional avenue to keep grinding out Bright Dust. It’s also been pretty uncool to go to the Collection screen and spend Bright Dust to get shaders or Ghost Shells or whatever. We’re going to fix that too. Beginning September 17, Eververse items in your Collections will cost Glimmer and Legendary Shards. If you want to keep pulling out that Exotic Sparrow that looks like a motorcycle until you get the good Sparrow perk (Instant Summon), you can do that with Legendary Shards and Glimmer. Changes to Dismantling Eververse Items Lastly, because we are changing the cost of pulling things out of the Collections, Eververse items will no longer dismantle into Bright Dust. This Fall, Eververse items will dismantle into Legendary Shards and Glimmer. However, that means right now the absolute best thing you can do with all the Eververse items you don’t use regularly—armor, Sparrows, shaders, Ghost Shells, transmat effects—is dismantle them. Sitting on a pile of Midnight Talons or Metro Shift from your Year 1 stockpiles? Shard ’em for Dust. That’s right! Everything must go—dismantle the extra stuff you have in your inventory, build up a huge amount of Bright Dust, and spend it on sweet stuff as it rolls through the Eververse store—because on September 17, everything changes. TL;DR recap for Twitter: On September 17, 2019: All Eververse armor (new and armor you’ve already acquired!) is being converted into Universal Ornaments Universal Ornaments can be attached to any newly acquired Legendary armor Bright Dust is going to come from doing bounties, not dismantling things you spent money on Eververse items can now be pulled from your Collections with Glimmer/Legendary Shards instead of Bright Dust Before September 17, 2019: Dismantle all of your unused Eververse items to maximize your Bright Dust reserves Thanks and see you soon, Luke Smith

I was aimlessly looking into my screen for multiple nights here, thinking my life isn't in the most 'ideal' position. And then I looked at 2 things: 1) all the messages i've been recently being talking with and 2) my very first Private Message on here. Firstly, I really enjoy keeping in touch with you all, either on here or whatever way we possibly can. I think when things are difficult or different in your life its always good to keep perspective. Yeah, I'd love to give more to my family but actually i'm in a really good spot and i should be more grateful. I think lots of people don't realise how much other people, that are pretty much your mates that you game with and share the best moments of your life with, can have serious problems in their lives. From depression to critical accidents to marriage breakdowns to severe anxiety and then to life threatening scenarios, this list could go on and on. I'll never share personal conversations, thats not right to do so, but I think it's right for me to say this out loud that for these reasons alone is enough to keep me driving this place forward with the all the great people that support it so much. You see, I will always be there for you all. But it isn't just me. Forever Gaming will be here for you all. Whenever you need us. There's some wonderful people here that have some great views on life and offer amazing support, even when you think you don't need it. I can't do this without @Diddums @phil bottle @tronic44 @crispymorgan and everyone else outside of us that sort out the little adminy bits to keep it ticking over. The second and last point to make is when I was looking for @ChaosGladiator address in my PMs so I could send him a little pressie from the FGFGF, I came across @Stretch616's PM to me on October 26, 2014. It was a blog draft for our first ever Vault of Glass run. Its an amazing write up and made me realise not to feel so bad to nudge and nag (just like this post) some of you to remind you why we're here and why we're more than just a gamertag. I'll put his original post in a Spoiler below but I wanted to pick out a key message in his awesome write that I don't think ever got to a blog post in the end. It was this: However, Forever Gaming is not about the end result, it’s about the journey. I think it says it all. I'll be sharing this around with as many FGers, old and new as I can. I think Stretch's words are worth reading alone. And if you still with me by now, thank you. For that, its the reason why as of today you now see whole new sections for Guides, Tournaments, Photo Comps, Controller Hospital (Patch Notes below) and everything else that was already here. Thanks all for an amazing ride so far. I appreciate every single one of you coming back to FG, however long your absence has been. What I do hope this time though, is you just stay a little longer - you may not know or realise it, but your words and time taken out to read others words might make the key difference in their life. New event available from June 18th to July 1st. All surrounding the newest hero, Baptiste. Skin reward looks pretty smart but does have a big cross on his head as a target 😄 Patch updates incoming with Challenge: Detailed full patch notes below from Blizzard. PATCH HIGHLIGHTS Baptiste's Reunion Challenge We’re bringing Baptiste's journey in the short story “What You Left Behind” to Overwatch with some special, unlockable in-game content. Wins in Quick Play, Competitive Play, or Arcade will all earn you themed sprays, a player icon, and a new epic skin – MEDIC BAPTISTE! New Feature: Replays Experience your past Overwatch games from a whole new perspective with Replays. Replays allows you to watch your ten most recent matches from any vantage point. Whether you want a first-person, third-person, or bird's-eye view, you can see it all with this tool. Hone your strategies by slowing down or speeding up the game to see exactly how a critical moment played out, get a better view of the action from above, or even turn off the UI completely. Learn more about Replays: Blizz.ly/OverwatchReplays HERO UPDATES Baptiste Biotic Launcher Increased heal ammo from 10 to 12. Amplification Matrix Ultimate duration increased from 8 seconds to 10 seconds. Developer Comments: Given the dual nature of Baptiste’s weapon, he ends up having to reload often. We’re increasing the amount of ammo he has to work with so he can get more firing time while healing. Similarly, increasing the duration of Amplification Matrix will allow allies more time to get into position to make use of it. D.Va Defense Matrix Reduced length of Defense Matrix from 15 meters to 10 meters. Developer Comments: Defense Matrix is a very powerful defensive ability and can often feel oppressive from far away. Reducing the range on it will require D.Va to position herself more carefully to take advantage of its effects. McCree Peacekeeper Primary fire recovery reduced from 0.5 seconds to 0.42 seconds. Developer Comments: On average, McCree’s damage output wasn’t quite making up for the relatively low mobility or utility in his kit. Reducing his weapon’s recovery time improves the potential damage output without affecting the number of successful shots to kill an enemy. Orisa Protective Barrier Barrier can be deployed without interrupting reload. Developer Comments: Orisa has one of the longest weapon reloads and interrupting it to deploy a new barrier felt too disruptive to her gameplay. This change allows her to reload as needed while still being able to protect herself and her team. Symmetra Teleporter Teleporter interact range increased from 1 meter to 1.5 meters. Developer Comments: This is primarily a quality of life improvement as it was possible to create a teleporter that Symmetra was unable to interact with unless she moved toward it. Torbjörn Rivet Gun Secondary Fire damage per pellet reduced from 12.5 to 10.5 (105 dmg total per shot). Developer Comments: The combined damage output of Torbjörn’s secondary fire with his Overload ability was too high given his recently increased survivability. GAME MODE UPDATES Assault Time awarded for capturing Point A on all Assault maps has been reduced from 4 minutes to 3 minutes. Upon losing Point A, any defenders that are dead, or that die shortly thereafter, will have a maximum respawn of 3.5 seconds. Developer Comments: Assault match lengths are averaging higher than we're happy with, particularly in Competitive where there are multiple rounds. We're also concerned with how often Offense fully captures Point A and Point B. Reducing the round time from 8 to 7 minutes should address both these concerns, as less overall time rewards better Defense. Additionally, sometimes Defenders fight late with good intentions at Point A and end up staggered from their team when A falls, leaving their team with uneven footing to defend a rush to B. In these situations, temporarily lowering the respawn time to get those Defenders back with their team should be a better match experience and doesn't punish players so harshly for wanting to defend Point A. WORKSHOP UPDATES General Visual update applied Check boxes added to support operations on multiple conditions/actions/rules. You can now disable conditions/actions/rules without deleting them. (PC) When copying conditions/actions/rules, the contents will also be copied to your clipboard in a text format. (PC) When pasting conditions/actions/rules, the editor will use the text from your clipboard. Increased maximum number of effects from 64 -> 128. Added ‘Modify Global Variable At Index’. Added ‘Modify Player Variable At Index’. BUG FIXES General Communication Wheel: “Acknowledge” pings triggered through the Communication Wheel can now target objectives. Fixed a bug where explosions could play in the wrong position if a mispredicted impact happened on the client. Fixed an issue where some UI effects weren't being properly colored when color blind settings are set on console. Tutorial: Weapon UI is now hidden until your weapon is available. Havana PvP – Fixed a bug that could cause the payload to get stuck leaving the Distillery checkpoint. Fixed a bug that could cause the Play of the Game animation to be cut off before it ends. Fixed a bug that could limit the number of effects displayed on screen at the same time. Workshop Custom Game: Fixed a bug where AI Soldier: 76 wouldn’t fire his Helix Rocket at the same target twice. Custom Game: Fixed an issue where ‘Nearest Walkable Position’ would use a location in a spawn room instead of the specified location when the spawn room doors were closed. Custom Game: Fixed a bug that could cause AI Soldier: 76 to be unable to use Biotic Field. Custom Game: Fixed a bug where disabling primary fire doesn't disable it for transform effects like Hanzo's Storm Arrows, Genji's Dragonblade, Soldier: 76's Tactical Visor, Torbjörn's Molten Core, Bastion's Configuration: Tank, and Winston's Primal Rage. Fixed a bug that prevented Sombra and D.Va from using their Ultimate abilities when using the ‘Set Ultimate Charge’ action to grant 100% Ultimate charge. Fixed a bug that prevented players from focusing on the Rule checkbox when using a controller. Fixed a bug that prevented the "Stop holding button" from clearing the action when using a wait before the action. Fixed a bug that caused players to always be returned to the Custom Game Browser when backing out of any game, if the player had been to the Custom Game Browser previously. Fixed a bug that forced Console Players to press the button twice when attempting to enter a numerical value when using a controller. Console Players are now able to bring up the virtual keyboard for manual numerical entry via one button press when using controller. Fixed a bug that could cause variable values displayed in the Inspector to fail to update after making changes and restarting the match. Heroes Ana Anti-Heal will be cleared when Sombra uses her translocator to teleport. Baptiste Fixed a bug that caused Ana's shot sound effects to be played on Baptiste when his Immortality Field is hit by her Primary Fire. Brigitte Enemy barriers now block line-of-sight for Brigitte's Rally. Fixed a bug where armor damage mitigation was too effective when multiple instances of armor were stacked on top of each other. Doomfist Fixed a bug that allowed Doomfist to access out-of-bounds areas of the the Havana map during his ultimate. Fixed an issue where Doomfist's Rocket Punch would sometimes impact stairs. Fixed issue where Doomfist's Seismic Slam was not showing its electricity effect on affected entities. Fixed a bug that could result in Seismic Slam not hitting targets when it should. Genji Fixed a bug that prevented Genji’s damage boost from being applied to deflected projectiles. Hanzo Fixed a bug that caused Hanzo's targeting reticle to appear on kill cam for players killed by his Dragonstrike Ultimate. Fixed a bug that caused Hanzo's hands to clip into his legs during the Meditate emote on several skins (Cyberninja, Lone Wolf, Scion, Young Master). Lucio Fixed a bug that prevented portions of Lucio's 2019 Pacific All-Stars skin from being visible in highlight and in-game portraits. Orisa Fixed a bug that caused Supercharger to self-destruct when placed in certain locations. Roadhog Fixed a bug that allowed Roadhog's hook to function when he was hacked by Sombra. Sombra Translocator will now escape slippery surfaces more easily and not be able to be stuck to them. Fixed an issue where a material effect on Sombra’s hair would cause it to cast a shadow while invisible. Symmetra Resolved an issue where Enemy and Friendly UI color options were incorrectly being applied to Symmetra’s Photon Barrier. Torbjörn Fixed a bug that prevented some of Torbjörn's visual effects from being applied when he used Overload with certain skins equipped. Fixed a bug that caused Torbjörn's turret to sometimes destroy itself.

Time to start the raiding escapades again! 😎 Same as before, lets put aside 2 hours, pick a raid when we all get online and see how far we get. The more we can try them all together, the more consistent we become at knocking these raids out of the park. If spots are taken by the time you see this, stick your name in the comments section and let us know if you can be a back up if someone can't make it or has to go early on in the raid.

Why not, it also tests it out a bit to see if it works okay too. Personally, I don;t think it matters how complex they are. The guides are set out for steps so it could help people rather than watching a long youtube video as they can do abit and come back later (Equally though, you can add videos and pictures to them if you have them 🙂)

I think the only one that is possibly longer than others is Grenade kills. The key thing here is it makes you realise there is a prize for each step where Iron Banner became a little irrelevant without a quest or objective to work towards. I think making it across all season makes absolute sense and therefore something you don't have to feel forced into for the entire week. I'll be jumping for some games for some of the week but won't be hammering it now we know its across the entire season. Don't forget on top of this theres 7 weekly Iron Banner bounties available, all offering Powerful Gear. Your Power Levels should jump up a mile with this lot.

3v3 elimination rules, as per Mei's special event. Let's get some teams of 3 going and go head-to-head against each other. First to 3 rounds is the overall winner and will move to the next round. Take screenshots and videos to share the scores and the fun you all had. See you on the field Soldier! 👊

The first tournament thats all about having some fun and lolz with each other...and clearly trying to win to take the glory! One match of standard Gambit with the usual rules of best of 3. Whatever loadouts you want to use. We only ask if you all can be in the same party for the lolz and record your gameplay wherever possible! Have fun peeps!

I watch Sevens rather than League. USed to really enjoy it bakc in the day with Wigan and St. Helens dominating but its a sport that hasn't really lifted off and very heavily centred around northern England. Sevens is a great spectacle on the other hand with the high fitness required. Some Saturday mornings are spent with the whole tournament on in the background.

That sounds like a great idea Greebs. Some of your guides so far have been great to read through. If you have some in mind straight away PM me and i'll look to get you added as person that can do that 🙂
