  1. We had a really good raid run last night on the new Crown of Sorrow Raid, thanks to Bob running us through the first 2 steps of the raid. Really satisfying to get done and I personally dropped the raid helmet that is absolutely awesome. Raid armour is one of the best we've seen in D2. What was really satisfying is that we kept trying and our communication last night was really good. Yep, it was loud and having to have multiple callous but it was a ton of fun and I dont care we didnt finish the whole thing as some of us are starting to learn key stages of more than just one raid. Thanks guys @Baabcat @Capn_Underpants @Kemp210 @bluffin109 @Bluebear We also nailed a quick Menagerie run at the end of the night and we managed to complete the Knight shields one before the timer reset which was another triumph completed for everyone. Nice one for @Teenwolf25 for jumping in. Will look to put some more raid times down later in the week. Hoping we can all keep trying some raid steps, doesn't matter if it's just a few parts either. Keep the learning going.
  2. Are you both on the last step? It is abit of a hard mission that one. Happy to help over the next few days. I was also going to about to help do a few Outbreak Perfected runs as @Shucker needs it as I'm sure alot of others still need it too.
  3. That good eh? Tbh, providing it's a small loop where you constantly do the same thing rather than start 30 minutes back could be good frustrating fun. As much as my balls are irrelevant now maybe it's worth a shot inbetween games. How much is it on PS4 right now?
  4. Nope. Is it an indie game? I feel like I've heard ot before on here but I can't remember when. Sounds like one for you if you love punching yourself in the balls every 15 minutes though 🙂
  5. At least they're all done now though! 😂
  6. I think now we've had one given on 'our' side rather than the one against the Netherlands I think this is even more justification to why VAR isn't needed. Like the Holland game, its not that its factually offside based on the rules - its how the concept unravels from that moment - and in both instances the referees and players went with the initial goal decision. I do not want to see the great game of football turn into that one across the seas that tries to call it the same name. With the subjectiveness happening in such a fast-flowing, dynamic sport such as Football I cannot see what they need it for. No other sport has this much hindrance from technology right now. Even the current Cricket World Cup and upcoming Wimbledon has a small amount of 'referrals' on the on-pitch decisions.
  7. Absolutely. Good job you opened them yesterday! Yep. Glimmer is now one of the most important things in the game, as it should be. They've said they wanted to make it more relevant.
  8. Yep, thats the one @Teenwolf25. From what i've seen it looks cool so hoping we can get it down at some point over the next few weeks.
  9. Haven't put it on for a while apart from our custom Blackout games which I found fun AF (probably cos I won one of them!). @ChaosGladiator, @LordBaguette and @Misneach_ play quite abit still so they might be able to say if they are feeling the same?
  10. Scourge of the Past buddy.
  11. Agree @J4MES OX4D, the referees standard has took a massive downturn partly because some will start to rely on it and then others are made to look stupid when they don't give clear cut decisions. Even linesman now can't flag a clear offside to allow VAR to call it. Thats when you know its not working when their job is virtually redundant. I suppose we will have to go through the pain of using it for a whole season but unless they reign some of the use of it in, I think all we're going to be talking about this season is VAR rather than the Football itself. Shame football is now about money and this is why Owners and Shareholders alike want it so their team doesn't lose out to millions on small decision.
  12. Don't forget all, Menagerie Gold Barge currently has a Sunday reset. So go get your new gold chests later today after you've saved up 75,000 Glimmer.
  13. Pants i'm afraid. Couldn't get past the first encounter. Mainly down to none of us had ever done apart from Kempy. We were a little panicky and loud for an hour which is expected with a new raid pretty much blind. However, we started to get it down but Sam had to go out later so we stopped early. I think it was good experience though - I think all of us are just not used to raids like we used to in Destiny 1 and we need to relaise shit will take time. I think its a good use of 2 hours to start learning a raid so we can eventually get it down and then starting help more people through it.
  14. Raids haven't been the most ideal of late but its par for the course - ultimately if we don't try any raids out we'll never get any better at them. Appreciate the folks that turned up to try and do the first Scourge of the Past raid. I think that first part will go down much quicker next time.
  15. Its an interesting read that its a remake rather than a remastered version as per se. Its getting high ratings imo because of the nostalgia factor alone. I've heard there's 8 player lobbies, which i'd hoped for more but it could still be good fun. Problem for me a little bit is the boosting when you have to hop around corners. I just can't get on with that type of boosting but maybe I need to give it another go. @LordBaguette, does the adventure mode give you some decent playthroughs?
  16. I'm finding that i'm getting more blue rare runes when I've had a top performing game in PvP or i've completed a Powerful reward challenge. That doesn't mean they don't drop though from other activities.
  17. Er what?! Why for the life of me can't I remember you telling us that! I'm only shocked cos I thought you liked a mellow afternoon with skinny Mocha Latte, not shovelling horseshit.
  18. Yeah, thats the one Brede. Co-ordination at its finest and because of guns being tweaked over the past few months, it doesn't go down in a one phase as quick as we used to.
  19. It was fun guys. Ultimately, you gotta keep trying it out and others need to follow your footsteps. Raids aren't just a one hit wonder thing and it clicks. You have to keep working at it and the co-ordination between everyone is something you have to help each other through. I thought the both of you did pretty well. Last Wish is by far the longest of all the raids in Destiny 2 and is something absolutely was made for the ultimate raider.
  20. VAR. Video Assistant Referee. Nope. The game is changing and I don't like it. I usually say to anyone in any walk of life embrace change, even if it feels uncomfortable you have to go through it as the world keeps evolving and it won't stop. Sometimes though there's one thing that comes along and you in your gut that it fundamentally doesn't go with whatever it is supposed to. That my friends, is V.A.fucking.R. I'm all for change for the better to support football decisions but its clear that any enhancements need to be crystal clear without spoiling the spectacle of what non-stop 90 minutes gives you. Its a fine balance between human and technology to hit a sweet spot. Take Goal Line technology. That is absolutely perfect. Clear cut, message straight top refs watch, instant goal given, no questions asked. VAR though still has an element of subjectiveness in its calls. The problem also lies with that very little things are happening surrounding penalties shouts more than not which if you slow them down to the nth degree then it could look like it is a deliberate handball or an intentional foul which in reality, it was neither. I'm not sure if people could argue that maybe its the ambiguous handball rules that don't help but i'd argue we weren't that bad before VAR came in. My tip for any betting person for the new Premier League season that has it for the first time is this: Bet on every single game, in every game weekend that they'll be a penalty awarded Bet that certain games will last past 6 o'clock each weekend I promise you that you'll be quids up. TLDR - Football is perfect because of its imperfections. Let it have talking points. Let it be what it needs to be, not a technological video game in real life where we need a break every 5 minutes to go to the loo and a smoke.
  21. Worst night ever. Diddums won 3 races back to back. We all need a long hard look at ourselves. Apart from that, lolz were back bigger than ever. Loved that Gary picked a mini track that had his favourite wall tracks 50% of the race 😂 Sebba did rage abit, but secretly he enjoyed losing control after a cheeky nudge into oncoming traffic. Don't know about anyone else but I enjoyed those race tracks that had traffic on them. Quite abit better than that insane weird RC race we had. I better check my clips, although I hope it isn't showing anyone of Didds' wins 😭 GGFG all @phil bottle @tronic44 @Diddums @crispymorgan @Misneach_ @LordBaguette @Greboth @ChaosGladiator @techno & Bloodie
  22. So far so good. The new quest, albeit by the sound of it is pretty long, means theres something to grind for and brought back a little purpose involved in it. As for the Lord of Wolves 'issue' i'm not actually seeing it on console pretty much at all. I know its more a PC thing though. @techno @Misneach_ and myself were wrecking it against some really good sides last night. I've missed that Iron Banner feels we used to have and this just felt like it used to. I think Crucible is wide open for the first time to use pretty much whatever gun suits you. AFter tinkering around for quite a while I'm finiding the new Drang from the Menagerie was wrecking people at every corner. I'm hoping now to get Sturm out the closet as i've never used it (only finished the quest last month to get it). The quest is across the whole season so i'm glad we can play without too much pressure of having to play Banner through the whole week. Also, got the Rocket Launcher, looks good but not tried it yet. Anyone drop the Shotgun yet? Grouping up seems the best way forward for this Banana. How's everyone else's travels?
  23. We finally got back into the raids the other night, unfortunately my dying was the highlight of the first encounter! 😄 We attempted Last Wish with a few FGers being their first time and first stage took a long time, mainly because we just couldn't stay alive long enough. However, we persisted (they persisted with me) and eventually we nailed Kalli to move on. After that mammoth task we managed to do the next 2 stages with not too much difficulty before calling it a night at the clock picture mechanism stage thingy. I think I need to get my Sleeper back out of the vault mind you. It felt good to get back into them, granted we didn't finish, but it was all about the journey for me. Hopefully the others found my dying the journey equally satisfying. GGs @Horrible_Hector @Capn_Underpants @Teenwolf25 @bluffin109 @Shucker Looking forward to the one tonight. Also, by the looks of it there is one on Sunday and Monday that has slots too.
