    I can' watch James' video, but those clips were of player vs player games. One game looked like a form of Domination. Competitive matches would need to be on a confined map with defined teams. Co-op mode would be more about exploring the world.

    Part of me wants to avoid the beta and I haven't been aggressively following all the released details. Trying to preserve the newness and surprises I guess. Anyone else feel that way?

    I will be getting a PS4. I currently own a PS3, but was open to switching sides. My reasons: Sony supports indie game devs. I'm not sure how exactly, but many insider types have said this. Sony set out to build a game console with a gamers first mentality. MS want to take over your living room. PS4 has more impressive specs. PS4 runs a PS4 specific OS, XBone runs Windows 8, which I believe to be very much more resource intensive. MS seriously cocked up with some of their DRM decisions. I know you said exclusive titles weren't a factor, but for me it's probably the biggest factor. Seven of my top ten favorite games are PS3 exclusive titles. I hate Office 2010 and the stupid Ribbon. I want my toolbars back.

    Based on some new information I've learned, I would like to recant what I mentioned about TigerBurge in my original post. He is no longer dead to me, though at this point he probably doesn't give a shit. I only post this because I dragged his name into this thread. Now I'm regretting that, and I apologize.

    Indeed. Also seeing the incredible reception the vets got at Normandy is enough to restore one's faith in humanity. Unfortunately, this will be the last major anniversary for many if not most of them. My wife's father was on the USS Pennsylvania in the South Pacific during WWII, unfortunately, he passed away a few months before we met. I would have loved to have met him. (Side note, he died of mesothelioma from the asbestos in the ship. Being an electrician, he was often up in those insulated ducts. Damn you asbestos.)

    Shawn Lane is just ridiculous. I was lucky enough get a CD copy of Powers of Ten before it disappeared from the shelves. That solo doesn't really show it, but he has incredible musicality to go with his mad chops. This album blows my mind:

    Maximum effect requires a live performance. I'm not a huge fan of the blues (read: not really a fan at all) but, I am a fan of gifted people pouring their guts into something, and SRV pukes every once of his soul onto the audience when he plays. The only criticism I have of him, other than getting on that helicopter, is when he plays behind his back. Dude, you do not need to show off, there's not a person in the world who can play like you. I used to love Steve Vai, Joe and a lot of the shredders from the 80s and 90s. I've just drifted away from that style. Now I'm this kind of guy.

If you know one, hug him and listen to his stories. Better yet, record his stories so that they are never lost.

    No, no, I lost my membership in mantown a long time ago. One of the benefits though is that my wife has taken over mowing the lawn. And honestly, I was under the impression most guys suck dick. The relevant bit starts at 3:50, but do yourself a favor and just watch the whole thing.

    I'll take some pics, it's done except for the head. It also sits coiled up rather than stretched out. Pretty easy actually, way easier than clothing.Sennex may appreciate this, I made some Pathfinder style goblins as a Christmas present for my brother one year. Might be time for a crochet thread. (I've come to terms with immasculating myself.)
