  1. Well then, pop some pills and come on down to the first annual FG dick sucking festival. There'll be sausages, hot dogs, and corn dogs as well as a number of interesting vendors.
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKTKqP7Qg4s That best lines vid is missing a bunch of 'em: Do you have a kiss for daddy? Ferris Bueller you're my hero. You killed the car. That's right, I'm Abe Froman...The sausage king of Chicago. I'm not European, I don't plan on being European, so who gives a crap if they're socialists. They could be fascist anarchists, still wouldn't change the fact I don't own a car. Man, it's been too long since I've seen this movie.
  3. If you like a good story, you'll love it.
  4. I skipped Ghosts after threatening (but failing) to skip the prior two installments. That could lead to one of two possible outcomes: renewed and refreshed desire to play or less desire than ever. I fall firmly in the latter description. Having abstained from competitive FPS for over year now, I can safely say I have no desire whatsoever to put myself through the meat grinder again. Even if AW turns out aces, I'm done with CoD.
  5. Nah, I'm a cheap bastard. I think the target audience is folks jumping from XB360 to PS4 and people who's first console is PS4. It's a question of investment and return. What does it cost to remaster for PS4 versus the potential increase in sales. If the numbers look good, you do it.
  6. The clip/pic isn't loading on my phonr, but I don't need to see it to know the reference. "do you have a kiss for daddy?"
  7. Different types of gamers I’ve been meaning to start this topic for a while now, and with Doc playing The Last of Us, it has rekindled my interest. Different people prefer different types of games, obviously, let’s talk about the reasons why. Here are some benchmarks Entirely story driven: Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls Mostly story driven: The Last of Us, Uncharted 50/50 story/gameplay: Mass Effect, Fallout, Metal Gear Mostly gameplay: CoD, Bayonetta, God of War Entirely gameplay: Sports games, puzzle games (Tetris), Dark Souls Some folks prefer story driven games, others require good gameplay, still others demand both. Personally I like them all; I think there’s a place for them all, though I lean heavily in favor of story. I’d much rather choose between things I like and dislike, versus choose among things that are all samey same. When it comes to people like what they like, I have some theories. I think gamers can be lumped into two broad groups, those that ‘play’ games and those that ‘experience’ games. I’m not sure how else to describe it. I believe it has to do largely with how emotional of a person you are, or perhaps it’s imagination. Are you a dreamer or a realist, prone to wandering thoughts or locked into the here and now. Are you empathetic or indifferent towards others. How you are as a person in real life, I think characterizes the sorts of games you’re drawn to. I’m very emotional, very empathetic, and a romantic in every sense of the word. A good story driven game sucks me in and stirs all sorts of emotions, which to me, makes for fantastic entertainment. But if you’re less touchy feely, a story game may leave you bored. At the other end of the spectrum are gamer ‘athletes’. I think these people find enjoyment in the physical aspect of gaming. Hand eye coordination, speed, dexterity, reaction time. To them, playing a game is a precision sport. I’m thinking of MLG types. Or if not the physical aspect, then the competitive, where the game simply provides a forum to compete against others. Finally there’s the strategy aspect. Strategy is present in both story games and competitive games; sometimes it’s the entire point of the game (Portal). People who like strategy games are probably those who enjoy problem solving in real life. People who spend a lot of time in contemplation and who plan more so than get out there and do. So my question is, what type of personality do you have and can you see a relationship between that and the type of games you enjoy? Here’s a little diagram I made to help visually describe what I’m talking about. The circle is drawn around my most favoritist games.
  8. well we know you won't be involved, there's no way I could suck that flacid lump you call a penis xD
  9. Keep at Sennex and maybe I'll suck your dick too. (too much? That might have been too much...)
  10. Ay least it seems to be a different spin on the story rather than a pure rehash.
  11. Consider me way skeptical on this one.
  12. So everyone agrees that that Glen Beck piece was idiotic? Cause if we all agree, there's no sense in taking it any further.
  13. I've noticed it as well, so you're not crazy Palle.
  14. I'm oddly disappointed that I didn't think of it that way. I figured it was a gaming chair, so I didn't come in here, figuring I'd be jealous. You know, because everything Steve has/does is way more awesome than what I have/do. D:
  15. Here’s where I’m coming from, full disclosure. Everyone will know where they stand with me, all my cards are on the table: If I don’t like you, I ignore you, you are dead to me. If I don’t like you, it’s not because I disagree with you on something or even everything, it’s because I think you’re a crappy person. There are two people here I feel this way about: Both Barrels and TigerBurge. I cannot forgive them for what they did to Dattebayo. I don’t care how justified they thought they were, they deeply hurt someone I care about. Then there’s the issue with Spectre. I don’t know whether or not Lee is a crappy person. If it was as simple as me not agreeing with him on things, I would simply agree to disagree and move on. The problem I have with him is that he uses this board as pulpit to get his ‘message’ out and more importantly I think his message is harmful. Anyone who takes the time to drill into what Lee posts will find: nuggets of truth wrapped in misinformation and wild conjecture. I feel compelled to address this not because I like debating with him but to poke holes in his credibility so that others won’t blindly believe everything he says. Sometimes I get snippy and obnoxious about it, I apologize for that, I have my flaws. That’s it. Everyone else I love. I badly miss gaming with Kyle and Uber; I’m pretty sure under the right circumstances I’d suck Doc’s dick; and if I were a chick I’d happily increase the population of leper’s colony. //Datte, no one is talking about you, I’m the only one who brought your name up. I think that is why Palle said it’s still a ‘thing’, because obviously I haven’t let it go. ///Wherever you are, there will be people who just can’t get along, this is life. ////There is still no other forum where everyone pretty much knows each other by real name. /////The issue is not nearly as big as this discussion would make it seem. In the grand scheme of things, it’s less than trivial. //////We can’t all agree on a game to talk about, so we talk politics, which tends to get peoples’ panties in a twist (mine included). Solution: Everyone buys Destiny for the PS4 and that’s what we talk about going forward.
  16. That is awesome Joe.
  17. If you want to do Pixar like stuff now, then Blender is the program for you, at least until Pixar release renderman to the public.
  18. Druckman is the man; Uncharted is in good hands, though I'd rather see him developing a brand new IP. I've only played the first Uncharted so far, but I thought it was fantastic. Not every game will please everyone.
  19. I have trouble getting past the absurd premise of a North Korean takeover. China sure, but NK? WTF. I also thought Crysis 2 was abysmal. Doesn't give me a lot of hope for this game, though folks seem to like the Far Cry series, so maybe there's a glimmer.
  20. Here's another one for you to look into: http://krita.org/
  21. Some free-for-nothin' software you should check out: GIMP Open source equivalent to Adobe PhotoShop. Raster graphics based, capable of LOTS. InkScape Vector graphics all the live long day. MyPaint Raster graphics program that attempts to emulate natural drawing/painting media, similar to Corel Painter or ArtRage. Scribus Page layout
  22. I have the same one, Wacom Bamboo FTW.
  23. Whoa, that came out awesome. O.o
