You're in the Vanguard faction until or unless you specifically change to one of the other ones. I have no idea what the benefits are. They offer unique Legendary gear maybe?
  2. You crusty ol' brits are my kind of people, I'm sure we'll be quite compatible. Now we just need to work on converting uberwarrior to Destiny. Dave, I'm liking it better as more and more possibilities open up.

I'm still not clear on how to jack my level above 20. The game said equip armor with "light" in it. Umm okay... Guess I need to research that.
  4. Most people probably don't need a policy, but I'm weird and very introverted. I've set my game to invite only, so trying to join me will be met with, well, not much. When I'm doing story missions or patrols, I like to explore in excruciating detail, which isn't going to be fun for anyone but me. I also enjoy spending some time solo or with the muted silence of randoms. I will almost never initiate party play, so if I'm not sending you invites, don't be sad. It's not you, it's me. Now that all that doom and gloom is out of the way and you probably don't want to play with me because you think I'm a freakish troll owl. Or uh, trowl I guess that would be. If you're doing a strike or raid or just having trouble with a mission I'm down with joining you. Fire me an invite and if I'm not in the middle of something I'll either happily join you or let you know I'm busy. My headset is functioning properly now. I speak fluent English and can hoot. I'm a level 20 Hunter, but don't have any Legendary or Exotic or even much Rare gear yet. I come bearing trip mines, throwing knives, and a sunny disposition. If you're playing PvP, don't even bother, I'd rather gag on a fork. If you just want to bullshit on party chat, that's not really my thing. I'm not a socialize simply for the sake of socializing kind of person.
  5. You two share an ass? XD

Playing in a party should enhance a game, not be a prerequisite to enjoy it IMO.
  7. The last time I tried playing CoD4, it was filled with hackers.
  8. Am I the only one that feels CoD needs less not more? The only thing that would spark my interest is a return to its roots. A time where guns actually had sway and recoil. Does anyone even know what sway is anymore? A time when you chose between Stopping Power or UAV Jammer instead of all the ridiculous things they've done since to try and balance stealth perks. A time when killstreaks weren't ridiculously over the top and games were won with bullets. How about memorable maps? I remember District, Chinatown, Broadcast, Pipeline, Showdown, Strike, Bog, Backlot, Crash, Vacant, Downpour, Ambush, Shipment, Creek, like yesterday (fuck Overgrown, never liked it and Bloc made me want to stab myself in the eye with a spoon) but I REMEMBER them. I don't think I could name a single map from MW2 or Black Ops 2. Gah. I want a retro shooter that includes an M60 and an AK47!
  9. Up to level 10 now. Played 3 matches in the Crucible and it became quickly apparent that I've had it with competitive multiplayer. I would say I endured 3 matches as opposed to enjoyed. I'll endure a few more to try and finish my play 5 multiplayer matches and win 3 games of Control bounties. After that, it's unlikely I ever direct my ship in the direction of the Crucible again. I've done the first three story missions on the moon and already grow weary of fighting the same enemies using the same character over and over. This sucks. I really wanted to love this game. Now I find it doesn't scratch my itch in the slightest.
  10. I'm a bit underwhelmed thus far. It's good, but certainly not blowing my socks off as I'd hoped. It reminds me a bit of Borderlands as far as roaming the countryside in a never ending search for loot and OP weapons. The story missions are lame and patrols become samey same very quickly. I haven't tried a strike mission yet or gone to the Crucible. Level 8, Awoken Hunter.
  11. I'll be on PS3 for now.
  12. Competitive mp is only a tiny piece; it's mostly co-op.
  13. As a motorcyclist I'd say it's a least two thirds the fault of the rider. The driver may well have seen him and misjudged his speed. Had been going the speed limit, the car would have safely made its turn. I also paused the video right as the car is seen to start turning, and there was a healthy distance the rider could have used to stop or evade had he not been going so fast. As a rider it is incumbent upon us to recognize that we are difficult to see and dangerously exposed. When I ride, I do so with a constant tactical scan, observing all, anticipating what other vehicles might do, and putting myself in a position to avoid potential disaster.
  14. I think I finally have a Geth Engineer build I'm happy with. http://kalence.drupalgardens.com/me3-builder#35!1C04555!!13951343!8F.AG9 Accuracy and movement speed bonuses from Hunter Mode compensate for two of the Spitfires big weaknesses. Piercing mod and drill rounds allow you to kill shit through walls thanks again to Hunter Mode. Overload isn't the best option because the Spitfire shreds shields anyway and once you've got it wound up to full speed, you don't want to be stopping to fire Overload. Just launch a turret at your feet for shield buff or lob it at enemies to increase your damage output and provide a distraction. Maxing out fitness and using Shield Booster makes you reasonably not frail even with Hunter Mode engaged.
  15. Not all of us Bob, I know there's a few people here that absolutely love AC.
  16. Assassin's Creed I and II (The overarching story is good, but the gameplay and character stories I just find incredibly tedious.) Shadow of the Colossus (tedious) Batman Arkham Asylum (decent, but did not come close to living up to the hype for me) Borderlands 2 (more of the same as Borderlands 1 but the shtick has lost its appeal.) Every CoD since MW2 Every BF since Bad Company 2 Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 is the worst game ever, but I don't think it was ever rated highly, so doesn't quite fit the bill for this thread.
  17. What about him is there to hate on? I distinctly remember Dead Poets Society being the first movie to move me to (adult) tears and Popeye moving me to (child) tears. I feel the urge to go watch Jumanji. His wife recently came out and said that he was fighting the early stages of Parkinson's Disease. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/robin-williams-parkinson-disease-medicine-deepened-depression-article-1.1905014
  18. That is off the charts awesome!
  19. That's awesome. I don't find it offensive at all. If you're going to call it the GayStation 4, it should be over the top to match the ridiculousness of the name.
  20. I told my wife it's not worth me playing anymore 'cause I ain't never gonna beat that. Everything just kept going right and just when I thought it was about to unravel, things would fall into place and I'd be out of the jam.
  21. When's the test drive?
  22. Mwhahahahahahahah
  23. Doesn't look any different from the PS3 version. O.o
  24. You can track a stat without showing it on the scoreboard. I could look at my Bad Company profile and see my K/D. I was quite ecstatic when it went positive. It's making that info available to the lobby that causes egomaniacal gameplay. Give people a forum to show off their elite skills and objective play goes out the window. Like it or not, most of the prepubescent idiots that play CoD could give a toss about SPM or win/loss. The prevailing attitude is more kills means you're a better player. That's what a lot of people want, which is fine. What drives me crazy is that it seems all shooters want to be more CoD like. I'd think the better business decision would be to differentiate and draw in all the people turned off by the way CoD does things.
