I got Micro machines turbo tournament 96 from CEX for £3.  Well worth keeping an eye out.  I keep hearing stories of magnificent bargains from people going to car boot sales and picking up old NES systems and the like.

For me, MW2 was the peak of my gaming career.  I had that game dialled in in a way I've never been able to achieve again.  I'd love to go back to that style of COD. 
 
I agree about snipers.  A sniper rifle cannot be used effectively stood up.  It takes minutes to line up a shot.  The recoil should be severe, if you miss, you give away your position and in all likelihood, die.  Like the situation in rainbow six now, Glaz is being used to clear rooms with a thermal scope and smoke.  It's a completely unnatural scenario for a sniper to be in.  Ditch quickscoping.
 
Not a big fan of killstreaks that require no input.   I fucking loved an AC-130 on Wasteland.

Can I just say I wasn't expecting to be in a position for Dids to order them last night!  I figured maybe we could wait for a cheap pair (how very northern of me) or maybe get amazon vouchers and make a contribution.  It's a testament to the kindness of the folk that frequent this quirky corner of the internet and recognition of just how much effort has been put in by Mr. PMA himself.  We've all made a real solid foundation to build our community, and I'm absolutely chuffed (look it up US/Canadia guys) to be a part of it.
 
Once again, thanks to all who chipped in, those who have made an effort to post, and Lee for being Lee and turning this forum around.

My bartop arcade is on hold while I spec out my PC.  Once PC is sorted then its on to bigger and better things.   I still really want a real arcade machine (sega rally upright)

I'm down for revival games, just give me plenty of notice as I don't own some of them.
 
The way I see it we have the foundations, and a core group of willing people.  What we need to do is think about bringing more traffic and people through.  That will mean dropping into game chat, sending friend requests and putting our name about.  We are a unique gaming community, we play games and have a laugh.  We are pretty good (I'd say slightly above average - higher if we drop diddums), but more importantly no too  serious.
