Might be a great idea to hold off on it. I held off on the original.. just as its one and only DLC was coming out. I was super glad I integrated the DLC story into my first playthrough.
 
However, since this is the game for me for 2022, I will not be waiting.
 
I might be holding off on Elden Ring. Haven't decided.

Woah!! £70 is a big price for it! Like you say, it does look amazing, but £70 is still a little on the steep side, definitely be a second hand or sale buy for me lol

I've just seen the prices and it's £70 on PS5 which I'm not sure I am willing to pay especially with Elden Ring being £50 a week later. I may have to put this on ice for the summer when it's cheaper and there's no rush anyway - don't wanna burn myself out too much with open world games especially with Dying Light 2 also released this month. This game does look bloody fantastic though and a big step up even from the already impressive original.

Today I thought I would bite the bullet and let Lee and co show me pretty much all that my mind could take, Whether it was learning more about Discord, Understanding the FG Website (WHICH I DIDNT KNOW WE HAD 🙂) or having a fun filled evening on 7 days with everyone. 
 
I think was all about getting use out of my new PC which since I have had it, I have only really used it for work. 
 
We started today around 1pm, @GazzaGarrattshowing me through Discord and FG along with Dave I believe, sorry my memory isn't the best and I am very tired.  Was really great to learn if I am honest as Discord is not my strongest point. So in return I told lee I would bet on Blackburn to win today to which they lost hahaha (He now hates me)
In the evening I jumped on 7 days with Lee, @RenFengge @Diddums @TurboR56Mini  @crispymorgan  @Ajay  for a quality night shooting up some zombies. 
 
Was genuinely humbled that they all took so much time out to help little old me and show me what to do, even managed to survive the Zombie threat which I am kinda impressed with.  
 
To celebrate me and Didds did an airshow on the Gyrocopters however I think our landing skills are in need of some serious training 🤣🤣
 
Loved how Lee and Turbo let me have the first condo in the new pad and me and Turbo have turned it into a luxurious Log Cabin!!! Looks Ace!!!

Wanted to offer since it's not a money thing, we already own it and are not using it.  I get it, maybe we look into another game in general. 

I'm pretty cool with it either way tbh, although it would be good to see what extra is 20.1 so we know what we're getting. I've not played Valheim for a while but i'm pretty sure when I go back to it, the main server we have will be enough for now. Do you think we should have an idea about what we might wanna do on the new one if we do? I'm still really happy to play the current server btw, we've made some awesome stuff on there so far.

So friends, @RenFengge and I have a our own server humming along that is currently running Valheim. We were chatting today and thought that it might be good to have a truly new experimental server for 7 days and keep the current one on 20.0 Stable. One reason for this would be all the hard work that the team has already put into the 20.0 build would probably have to be wasted if we upgrade to the latest. The experimental beta server could have some neat builds as well but knowing we might have to nuke it at some point. We know it can be a pain in the ass to have two servers but wanted to throw it out there. We think repurposing our second Valheim server to 7 days could be fun. Thoughts?

Right, firstly, great thread to start a discussion Justin @FallenDark200 . I appreciate people are starting to creep out of the woodwork and be more visible for the overall cause. I can't ever get enough of that.
 
The concept is great, the mechanics is a little different in how it would work. I looked into a Points system before which had many integrations, and it can work but its complexity can also cause errors and not really work in how want to. Rather than look at the solution, what we're trying to achieve here is essentially a perk that gives back to FGers that help out in special ways e.g. donating to the FGFGF and overall cause. Based on that and what we can pull out on here, is a way to create a specific group from when either people donate. I can also link that to a membership style element that could be easier for people so its already set up rather than having to chip in as and when.
 
However, you also have to consider people for the last few years have donated just off the back of their goodness and when its financially right for them to do so. That choice should never be taken away. I look at this as a great addition and incentive to help people that already donate get potentially something back and encourage others to chip in and 'share the load' as we sometimes say over here.
 
I started drafting membership style things anyway so people can gain more from this place over time, and hopefully that alongside Achievements will be great ways for people to have fun here and help many other FGers in the process - because thats what the end goal should be about.

Ok some may know I play to much destiny and I left the d2 clan a month ago wasn't the place for me and I'm home again. I was chatting with @GazzaGarrattand @Teenwolf25 last night about some ideas.
 
Let me start of by saying i know we didnt have a FG Christmas this year and that kinda sucks. So I was thinking maybe we could do monthly raffles for the UK guys and a raffle for the Westerners. 
 
I'm not sure what kind of giveaways or raffles we could do since most of us play on different systems and live all over the place but I'd like to get something setup.
 
@GazzaGarrattis currently in the process of doing achievements and medals for certain games and attributes for the community and maybe we can set goals to actually win more raffle points or something along those lines like more entries.
 
Now for what I had for an idea of raffles and giveaways would be anything from gift cards to maybe even merch. Going into the merch idea as well I know @GazzaGarrattmyself and @Teenwolf25  were discussing things in the pipe line because right now its just Lee trying to get things sorted but if we could get everyone a piece of merch would be brilliant. I know how much Lee likes to give back.
 
Now to go into the part no one likes the money backing behind it. Now I know not everyone can afford to donate which is totally fine but if we could get everyone to donate a dollar each month to the FG raffles and giveaways that would be insane how much we could grow and expand it. I'm going to try to be more proactive on the website since I actually sat down on the site for the first time on my pc last night. 
 
Also one last thing I'd like to add the three of us also discussed tournaments last night and I think it would be a brilliant idea to even hold raffled tournaments each month but we have to get everyone involved and I understand why Lee does.

The desert horde base is exactly what @TurboR56Mini  and I wanted when we were first playing. Just to survive horde night in peace and not die.
 
I, however, have come to love the chaos and watch things blow up now lol.
 
I think the lack of spawning has to do with no actual land mass near us. I would have thought they would have spawned in the water.. but nope.. Just on a tiny tiny sliver of land that didn't have water on it lol.

Totally disappointed in the lack of integrated chat.. Like.. what.the.actual.fuck.

Thats basically it. Whether they did it because they knew Activision/Blizzard was being bought is kind of irrelevant right now.
 
More backing in terms of financial and reputational support will always mean good things.
 
All you can do is base it on experience for now because stuff won't change overnight. Like La @RenFengge said, Sony DO have a good track record of letting studios do their own thing and release incredible video games.

Sony isn't EA, so I'm not exactly "worried." 
 
Then again, while I play D2, it's not a game I cherish... nor do I think there's anything really to ruin by this acquisition. We all know the general grind for D2. And, the story is like background noise if you haven't played since D1. D2 is straight loot shooter. Any RPG elements that made it unique and interesting was left in the D1 era.
 
I would be more "concerned" if Microsoft bought D2... Sony actually lets its developers go do their own things (in general) and not dictate nonsense (RPG developer - yeah, you don't do that anymore. You do loot shooter).

I'm briefly stealing my friend's thoughts on the matter posted on our chat group, but I kinda agree with this: The move feels retaliatory on the part of Sony, like they weren't really planning on this and if the Activision-Blizzard acquisition didn't happen, this would probably never happen too.
 
It feels like Bungie wasn't really set on being acquired and would still like to produce games everywhere, but when Sony pushed for their acquisition and saw Bungie's stance like this, they probably just completed the deal to primarily appease their fan base and kind of disregarded not being able to get something substantial out of the deal. Perhaps they thought they would make money out of the Xbox releases by Bungie, anyway, so it's not a total loss.
 
But being an Xbox gamer, believe it or not, I'm happy for Sony even if this pales in comparison. More competition means better things for all of us.

I'm sorry I didn't do this sooner. I am actually embarrassed to these usually (lol even on the internet hehe) but upon the encouragement and also because I feel like this is a great place, I thought I'd do this.
 
I also want to share something and I hope this is alright. There are actually two people on this account. We'll be using nicknames but don't worry, this isn't too far from our real names.
 
I am Ryan and I share the account with my younger cousin Ellen, or Ellie. Or eL. Ellen comes from the Facebook generation and we're 15 years apart. I'm trying to teach her the ropes about forum communities which is incredibly alien to her lol. Anyway, she had a run in with some bad folk on some Facebook group who asked her too many personal questions, I wouldn't detail it here. I thought she might need a breath of fresh air and since she's a gamer, she'd also fit in right here. Sorry about this weird bit and I hope we're not breaking any rules but yeah, that's about it.
 
And oh, she plays on Switch. I play on Xbox Series X. We usually swap consoles from time to time.
 
Anyway, sorry I rattled on too much about me (err us?). I just want to say that we plan to stick around and engage in conversations, as well as share our own gaming experiences.

I actually think Bungie need a kick up the arse because they've been very reliant with Destiny 2 and Microsoft could've given them that nudge and provided elite technology to assist them. However I didn't think MS would ever consider working with Bungie again but I also didn't expect them to buckle so quickly operating as both a standalone publisher and developer after breaking from Activision. I'm not even sure if Bungie are good, or ambitious enough for Sony when compared to their other in-house studios but I hope this wasn't a tactical move and Sony have spotted something they can work with going forward.
 
If they remain doing Destiny 2 expansions for the next 5 years on 15+ year old technology then it's just a waste of bloody time for everyone minus Bungie who will be living the life of luxury an in security whilst other studios push boundaries and innovate. I hope this is the start of Sony making moves like this though as there are quite a few studios out there ran by garbage publishers who are being held back no end.

So @Diddumsinspired me to do a solo hoard base. I took it a bit extreme and went ahead and built a hoard base island in a lake, with a double drawbridge to a larger island in the same lake along with another drawbridge to the main land! (This will also have a tunnel up to grade for easy traveling!). Have some punchy punches, some shotgun turrets, blade and dart traps all on my little slice of death island. La and I just did HN448 and it was...boring actually. You can go unload your colon while the turrets and traps cleaned the few zombies who gave a fuck to swim out to you.
 
There is a nice little control room with two switches, one for the blade and dart traps and one for shotguns and spotlights. We are also sporting a fully incased mechanical room with vault hatch in the blade room so all the bits are safe. As expected, all wiring is fully concealed and this bad boy is all steel, had to use all those free steel blocks from crates some how!!
 
Working in the water is peaceful with 180 seconds of air. bridge building is easy and fast. My next thought is OCEAN. I'm pretty sure I can build an "oil rig" at sea with a ladder down to a mine through the water. I'm pretty confident I can remove the water from a structure using buckets and dumping them out. Although this might be a bit tedious, an underwater ocean lair/mine sounds too god damn tempting not to have a go. 
 
All in all, a productive day off I'd say.
 
 

So there is no functionality behind this other then being able to spy on people on what there playing!? I want ps users to be able to use discord so I can stop using remote play on my pc just to talk to people it's ridiculous imo Xbox is setup is easier with pc players its like why can't we have nice things from sony

What? Maybe I'm getting this wrong but is this simply about Discord knowing what game you're playing? Not actual functionality of being able to communicate with people on Discord? If that's all it is, pointless.🙃
