I haven't been in awe of the beauty in a game since Horizon Zero Dawn.
 
Cleared a farm. On my way to getting Gosaku's armor because I want new armor to upgrade. Looks like Jin and horse Sora felt like going for a nap.
 

Super curious about the coop portion of the game. Super wary of it at the same time.
 
Anyway. Just found out that the frequency of storms correlates to how often you kill by stealth. Which, kind of sucks since I enjoy stealth as an option. It makes every place to liberate like a puzzle... instead of just running in and egging them on and slashing them.
 
Really really trying to get a handle on switching from throwing knives to throwing sticky bombs. Just doesn't click in my brain.
 
Also, I didn't expect just a noticeable jump when I started playing on the PS5 since 1) proper upgrade means newer TV, and 2) still waiting on the adapter since there's no optical and I can't use the soundbar now. But, DAAAMMNNN.. it was instantly noticeable. And I notice typically nothing in my life lol.
 
I'm currently trying to go through Act II by playing "honorably" instead of stealthy. I would really like to not use my flute every 5 minutes to adjust the weather. Also, semi-curious if Uncle starts to approve?

So, I'm currently running around trying to 1) get enough materials to upgrade all my stuff, 2) unlock as much as I can before continuing with the story, and 3) get enough technical points to better my play style.
 
I had just finished clearing out the logging camp, I think. Then, Jin decided to sit down, bask in the bloody and fiery aftermath, and have a drink? Dude... that's some badassery, I guess.
 

I agree that the fighting can be difficult. However, I think it could be a bit more intuitive. Some issues I've experienced in my learning curve with Ghost are issues I never experienced with Horizon Zero Dawn, and a lot of the mechanics are the same. Like, I shouldn't have to pause to look up the correct order to throw a knife, nor should I be accidentally calling my horse when I do that, but I do.
 
That said, I'm still having a blast with it. I just wish I could get to the angry Mongols in time before they butcher peasants when I see them.

I started really playing it on Saturday, and am now in a good part of the game where I can wander around.

I finished this last night and got the platinum trophy this morning.  As with the first one, it was one hell of a ride.  Yes, some parts I felt could have been fleshed out more, but all in all,  fantastic game.

I bought a new truck.  I've had the same Ram since 2012, but gave it to my son.  So now I have a 2021 Ram 2500 Power Wagon.  I wanted something to off-road with and the PW is, IMO, the top of the line full sized truck for the sort of off road trails I have access to.  I wanted to order a 2023, but order banks are closed and once they reopen it will still be an estimated 6-9 month wait to get one.  I decided to go used instead and focused on the 2021 for the 75th anniversary package, which has a unique 2 tone interior that isn't available in any other Power Wagon.  This thing is absolute tits for everything but fuel economy.
 
I'm ditching the steps for actual rock sliders, which I've already ordered.  Also need a bed cover, but otherwise don't intend any additions or modifications until it needs tires and I go to 35".
 
PW comes factory with front and rear axle lockers, front sway bar disconnect, and is a 2500 (so heavy duty frame, axles, running gear) but sprung light closer to a 1500 for better ride and offroad flex.  The 75th anniversary adds a ton of luxury features.  Heated/cooled leather seats (mountain brown over black), 360 camera with tire paths, adaptive headlights (the lenses make the headlight beam sweep with the steering wheel so you're always in the 'sweet spot' and it's amazing), etc.  This one has the sunroof and every option but the safety group (didn't want) and ram boxes (didn't care one way or the other).  I bought it with 8107 miles on it and in pristine condition.

We have a r53 MINI Cooper S that we dumped a good amount of money in last year lol. We are never getting rid of it. We do actually want a classic Mini one day.

After the massive FG weekend I had the bug to jump back in and start a new character in Euro Truck Sim 2. The trucks in Europe were always cool and neat for me as I like the cabover design, even the ones in the States. So Since you can't have an official massive company in the game, as in we are all helping to add to the bank account of one company, I decided to make this thread about just that. I agree the attacks against works of art is a bit odd.
 
I feel like there is a reason they keep attacking artwork, like there is a point that they are trying to make that we are missing, just down to the fact they keep doing it. If there is a reason though, then they are not getting their message across very well because no one is understanding it.
 
That said, it does result in media attention which is what I imagine they want / are after most of all. No majoy protest has been successful without media attention and disruption. I hear people complain about the M25 protests, I guess I am in a fortunate position that it does not affect me but imagine if the Sufragettes just stuck to peaceful protest, how many years longer would it have taken for women to get the right to vote?
 
I really feel for the cause, but whether they are going about it the right way, getting the right response etc I am not so sure they are.

Finally got back on. Enjoyed running in for the most part....and then somehow I got an infection. FUCK! Tried my best to keep running so far through the woods to get up to Carl @TurboR56Mini  as he had some tetro...dffdkcjvbugvchjbsdsddsk pills or whatever you call them, but La @RenFengge advised me that if you have it too long Stage 2 kicks in and then i'm on the slow path to no way back. However, I thought I lucked out as I was going to Gorka and stumbled upon a Hospital! What are the chances, eh? But then what are the chances of the Hospital having any tetro...,sdfhdfuhdciudhcbcy pills? Charcoal tablets galore, surgical gloves and a way to get my blood out if i wanted....but no tetro....you get the jist.
 
I opened the door and Zimbies were right outside, so trying to battle through so I could start my pessimistic run to Carl, I got battered and knocked out. Waking up in a daze, with pretty much no health, I thought I would try one last attempt to get healthy...by removing a bag of my own blood, combining with an IV kit, and then giving myself a transfusion back into myself. Yes, I am that stupid, but hoped it would glitch out my stupid infection. Alas, it did not. I was dead.
 
2nd life rolling, I got a great spawn up on the East Coast so felt good thinking I could meet Carl soon. I thought I would go to the first town to get supplies before heading off. Berezino didn't have much and I just needed abit more food before Zombies approached my area. Next thing I knew my pipe wasn't hitting them hard enough and after playing the Crystal Maze with 4 Zombies over fences and around Greenhouses, they cut me. Problem was my bandage was all used up, no type of knife to cut some rags, so.....I was dead.
 
I really have a problem playing this game. 😅 Will see what the next day brings. Hopefully some extra life and no ruined Apples and Pears.....

Currently unsure how to feel about this.
 
 
 

I don't think this is Guerilla's fault really, this is Sony pushing it forwards (they did with last of us 1). Ultimately they are doing it because the last of us 1 remake showed that people will buy them enough to make it profitable for them.
 
Fully agree it is a joke though and I won't touch it just like I did not with the last of us, anyone that chooses to buy them (at least brand new) is just encouraging it and if Sony find it is profitable it could be something others do.
 
Like I get remaking a 20 year old game, bring it to new audiences and what not but something that's under 5-10 years is just saft and just another example of the market just stalling and stagnating. It's why Indie titles are doing so well today because they dare to change things up, try something different.

I got excited for like .5 seconds... until I saw it was for mobile.
