  1. Welcome Gaz, it's a pleasure to have you aboard!
  2. Oh cool, thanks for explaining.👍
  3. Oh I got more than enough copies of it already. One on Steam, GOG and DRM-free...although the last two are pretty much the same. It's something I hope to get around to soon.
  4. Interesting, Wolves in 4th. Well I guess it's very possible. There is a great chemistry between their attacking players.
  5. Oh damn, I meant to post this in the football section. Apologies!
  6. Hi people, what are you thoughts and reactions on the games that happened over the weekend? The reason for the title is that I watched the Fulham vs Arsenal match and I heard the colour commentator singing the praises of goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli for earning an England call up, as if it gave us hope for the future of English goalkeeping and...what does he do? He goes and let's 5 past him! It looks like Pickford will be carrying that burden all by himself for a good few years.
  7. I hear the term 'Season' banded around a lot with popular trending games, but I want to know what it denotes? Does it refer to significant updates whereby it would diminish their importance by calling them updates, or am I talking about something completely irrelevant to what it means?
  8. Hollow Knight seems a good deal on Humble Bundle, both Steam key and DRM free, although that might be an offer exclusive in the Sept subscriber bundle, I'm not sure...
  9. Thanks @McNasty. I would probably go for a lot of the same games myself. The PC ones I've already got in my collection, except Grim Fandango.
  10. Well I love Manchester and gaming, I'm down with that! Anyone else? 😀
  11. I work as a Personal Assistant and Support Worker for a Social Worker. It's a unique experience. Without being a social work student you're getting a first hand look at everything, whilst contributing in a small part. My primary role however is to provide support for a Social Worker who is dual impaired in eyesight and hearing. Unfortunately, my job is up in a couple of years and I can choose to either forge a new working relationship with another client, which will prove difficult or my ideal plan of turning Twitch streaming into an income of some form. I just wanted to say this explains why you're all such a well rounded bunch of people. You all do really interesting, worthwhile and essential jobs here.
  12. That sounds cool, but what are the graphics like on such a small machine?
  13. I think tactically it was a bad team selection for Liverpool. Klopp should have looked at how Mane and Salah played on the weekend, they are both in poor form right now. Sturridge should've played the full 90, partnered with Shaquiri up front. As for Tottenham, I don't think there was anything they could do. They need to make a few signings in January to say the least.
  14. It was voted most popular out of 3 titles, obviously a shoe in when you look at the other two, but thanks for the heads up!
  15. Hi everybody. While in retrospect it was probably a night to forget for English fans, what are your thoughts on the games and where Tottenham and Liverpool went wrong? Or, if you support Barcelona or Napoli what did you do right on the night?
  16. Wow! Step aside Emirates and Wembley, this new stadium looks incredible!
  17. Cool @crispymorgan , many apologies, I had no idea this thread existed. Anything I find in my travels I'll be sure to add! Many thanks!
  18. Hi Techo, Gazza and tronic44, thank you for the welcome and kind words. I used to own a lot of consoles, I came along just at the start of the transitional period between 32/64-bit gaming to 128-bit, but I sadly got rid of most of those consoles, including a translucent orange N64 I had. I believe Nintendo were running with those limited edition N64s in the console's final years. I do at present own some emulation machines, which are a mixed bag, such as an Atari 2600 and Sega Genesis. I also own some emulator handhelds as well, which get you kind of closer to the days of the Game Gear. I tend to do most of my gaming through PC these days, but I always jump at the opportunity to play any old console classics if they get ported to PC and anything good on DOS is gold in my opinion. As for modern consoles, I'm weighing it up when it comes to my next PC upgrade, whether to make the switch to console gaming or not and I think PS4 and Xbox One both have many positives.
  19. Hi Phil, thanks for the welcome. Well I've dabbled in all those types of games and it really depends on the mood at the time. Sometimes I'll want to fire up the Sega Genesis Classics or my Atari Collection and play some arcade and console classics, other days I'll be playing some old first person shooters, I'm playing through PSX Doom Total Conversion at the moment. Although I have Baldurs Gate and Half Life to hand, I would say the last thing I've played that's somewhat similar to Baldur's Gate is an Open Source game called Flare. I'm also a huge fan of Dungeon Keeper and to a more obscure extent, Mageslayer.
  20. Cool, I'll have to give that a go. I recently discovered Isthereanydeal.com, but as extensive as the site is, I feel it lacks in being user friendly. I'd just like to see a few thumbnails and not such an overwhelming list. I'm currently checking out GOG because they are celebrating their anniversary and as such I managed to plug a few holes in my collection such as King's Quest IV, V, VI, VII and VIII.
  21. Hi everyone, I didn't know where a topic of this nature would be more appropriate, so I thought general gaming chat might be the right place to start. I was just wondering if anyone here would like to share any deals they are after or have nabbed already in the gaming sales this week. We know there is always a Weeklong sale on Steam and GOG seems to have sales going all the time! There is also Fanatical which I have heard mixed views about, Gamersgate etc. If you find game shopping like being a kid in a shoot-em-up, strategic, action packed candy store, would you like to share what it is you got?
  22. Shall do, thanks for the heads up!😀
  23. No dual shock controller though, I am quite surprised. I mean not everything was fantastic about the Playstation on first release.
  24. Steam: SPFreely and for the sake of it, add me on GOG if you want to: SPFreely I have a sizeable collection of games so you'll see me playing something different quite frequently.
  25. Greetings everybody. I am known in quite a few places as I am here, as SPFreely, but my real name is Sean and I am always interested in meeting fellow gamers. I love to play old games, maybe to make up for lost years in my youth or a renewed appreciation for them, I don't quite know. I do a little modern gaming as well, so don't feel that I won't completely identify with what some of you are talking about, to an extent I will trust me! Anyway it is a pleasure to be here and I look forward to getting to know you all. 😊
