  1. PSN card Will go with 13
  2. Not really, I just absolutely despise having my crap blown up or ripped apart by Creepers and Endermen. I hadn't realized that Gregtech had been removed completely. I don't mind expensive recipes but that one just seemed insane when it was on hard mode which most servers ran. not really looking for anything specific, I just wanted to sit down and accurately learn FTB more. Typically I never get to play FTB, I always end up an Admin.
  3. Is Mob Griefing on? IE Creeper explosions and endermen? I will have to look at the Direwolf pack, I don't remember enjoying it, but that could have just been gregtech. Is it the one that Mittlemeier was running?
  4. Mike, have you tried out the new Tech World pack? Its really solid. I am looking for a server that runs it now, I have fallen off with FTB, and am trying to get back into it more, so I can relearn it.
  5. Horizons was terribly unstable for the first few days. I honesly haven't touched either much, just a few moments. I have been playing Stellarcraft and A New World mod packs quite a bit though
  6. Have you tried Horizons? I was unable to get it to load.
  7. Honestly, if you are looking for a good MMORPG to play then check out Neverwinter on Steam. After that check out Rift, or LOTRO. Or Minecraft lolz with the Divine RPG plugin
  8. And thats exactly the problem They start off telling you how special you are, and how the prophet has seen all this shit for you in the future, and then BAM you are out of your prison cell in the middle of a few hundred other "special" people... There was never any sort of attachment to the character, there wasn't a single thing that made you feel unique and not just another unwashed basement dweller in Skyrim with hundreds of other people. The combat mechanics feel ripped directly from Neverwinter Nights (Free 2 play on Steam), and I am serious here, they are directly ripped from it. You could tell that they were going to port it, as they limit you to the number of attacks/ spells/ abilities you can have equipped. In other words they are dumbing it down so that players with Xbox/ PS Controllers are not left out. We all praised the 3 faction Race/ Class combo's at first, but unless they go through massive changes, then none of them matter, there will be no diversity across the factions. Every Race can be every class, and every faction. Every quest had spoken speech..... SWTOR had this, and it sounded amazing at first, until you realize that there is LITERALLY NO POINT to it other than to suck up space on my hard drive. Oh, and you can't skip it (at least not in BETA), so by about level 10, you are sitting there yelling "STFU!!! I know I need to collect 7 Bear Asses!" In 20 levels as a Templar, I was never once able to heal another player, even though the Templar is the healing/ tank class. The reason for this? There was no real range to the spells. The minute Joe the Plumber decides he spots a new shiny and runs out of your range, you end up healing yourself and not him. Best part about this: It was impossible to tell just who was healed, so it was a guess, and the vast majority of players won't communicate that you missed them when they are running the fuck away from you to pick up a shiny, or fight more mobs. So they die I could go on. Honestly, just wait for the next Elder Scrolls Single player game, and you will enjoy yourself far more. I was insanely excited about this game (Not sure my posts are still around covering the various trailers), but the Beta, as a preview was so woefully underwhelming, that I cancelled my pre-order. Also, Yes, I get it was a Beta. This isn't my first Beta in an MMO, I understand that we still have 5 months left before Launch, that doesn't change the fact that there isn't a single thing special about this game, there wasn't a single time when I was playing it that I was in Awe of what was happening to me, like I had been in Skyrim so often. Good thing though: The game looks fantastic, Graphically speaking. It was Skyrim with all the HD textures maxed out.
  9. After being in the beta for it, I decided to pass on this, and save my money for something else.
  10. Thats fine, I only play 1.62 or 1.6.4 as it is
  11. Can you take some screenshots with this? I looked it up, and the pics in it didnt' look good to me, but I think thats because the pics themselves sucked, not the texture pack
  12. Not really I ended up just combining various ones with supported mods into Ovo's Rustic, that way I could play with 32x32 in FTB but still use Ovo's Rustic It didnt' look "bad" per se, but it didn't look good. None of it was original work, I just mixed and matched from work already done
  13. Yea, and Spax, and a bunch of others, I even toyed with making a few custom ones at one point.
  14. No One thing I have learned is with MC higher Res isn't always better. The vast majority of the 64x64 texture packs end up looking like crap. There was one way back in the day that used textures from skyrim, it was horrible in MC, the whole thing ended up grainy and bad.
  15. John Smith IMO for a medieval sort of pack I haven't looked in a while though, there might be other good ones.
  16. John Smith Legacy Ovo's Rustic In that order Also, other than Matmos, I have not seen anything that changes music in the game.
  17. Seriously though. Dylan, Set up an MCPC server with MCMMO, and Biomes o'Plenty in it. One is Bukkit, and one is forge. Play around on the seerver in Survival mode, specifically mine up a bunch of Cobble stone, and excavate some dirt. You will level up in MCMMO, but then look for the Blocks that Biomes O Plenty adds in. Go and do the same thing, you won't level up. So now the challenge comes in. How do you add in the Blocks from Biomes O Plenty so that MCMMO recognizes them and lets you skill up. This is one of the harder issues to solve in Minecraft modding.
  18. Looks like the Chav cast from the new Witcher Game
  19. So, a fella over on the Forge Forums wrote this huge really rambling guide I edited out a ton of really useless info from this guide to better show how I handle ID conflicts, and rewrote some of it for you here
  20. The End is turned off.
  21. yea, let me finish my work today and I will finish writing this up
  22. Okay, so this will take me a few to finish, but here we go So in every version of MC pre-1.7.2, Items had an ID code. (found here http://minecraft-ids.grahamedgecombe.com/ ) Typically everyone who wrote mods reserved 0-256 for Mojangg ID's Forge and FTB/ Tekkit reservered 0-2000, but quite a few authors dipped down into the 1500 range. Here is a quick forge list http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php/topic,638.0.html?PHPSESSID=6W8fH4rWrh2QnXNPyRgcS2
  23. I will write up some examples of issues I had with Thaumcraft 4, Biomes o'Plenty, and Underground Biomes. It won't be comprehensive, but I will touch the main points to get you started here soon. Its not hard to do, but it is insanely nerve wracking
  24. Its not going to happen to much anymore, but I wasn't sure if you had dealt with it at all, or would want to learn how to fix it
  25. Dylan, this is quickly becoming a problem of the past, but have you dealt with Item ID conflicts yet?
