  1. I can probably be of help here. My partner/girlfriend/missus of 8 years is from Barcelona. She's been living with me in London for 6 years, I've been many times and I'll probably end up living there at some point. Great weather, October will still be nice and you can expect 70-80 degrees. Rain is unlikely but the climate in general's up the spout lately so who knows.. Great food, seriously, these guys know how to cook, eat where the locals eat, you won't be disappointed. All cities have their shitty tourist traps but I've never had a bad meal there. I can probably speak with Marina and ask for her advice on where to stay but the good thing is that its not a massive city, has a beach, a port, a little mountain with a castle/fort and you can get round really easily by metro, tram or foot. Young people are pretty cool and they have a very family-orientated social culture, and are very proud of their culture and language, separate from spain. Give me a shout if you need any info Bona nit.
  2. Just for info: I play football with some Hackney miscreants from 5pm to 7pm in Hackney Downs park. Every Wednesday until October. We used to play in London Fields but started to get surrounded by dickhead hipsters http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVmmYMwFj1I Anyone who can make it, Rich, is very welcome
  3. So long as it's at least 5% then it's stella and you're a lucky lucky boy The day I reach the new country I wil be all englished-up, red sun burnt skin, pasty white legs and a football. Come at me dear cousins
  4. 4.2% and brewed in Scotland. How can that be? I'm assuming the decimal place should come after the 2 and not after the 4... Great name for a beer
  5. We should organise a UK invasion of USA, Forever Gaming style, teach those boys about the joys of Stella Artois. I've never been across the pond. It'd be a multicoloured benetton UK invasion of course, with Jocks, Dutch, Plastic Paddies, Mockneys and the whole menagerie...
  6. Man, they're so small, if one was to just go missing I'm sure no-one would notice
  7. I'm bitter and twisted, it's the going rage these days
  8. "Come at me bro" literally cracked me up
  9. Seriously despise Real Madrid, hoping they have a Munich type plane accident at some point. a - Franco's team b - BIggest neo-nazi supported team in Spain, which is saying something when they share a league with Sevilla. c - The Spanish state has bailed them out time after time after time, in some of the most dodgy deals in world football d - Luka Modrich robbed from the mighty spurs e - Gareth Bale robbed (sort of) from the mighty (sort of) Spurs f - My missus is from Barcelona (most important reason of all). g - Ronaldo's wink I do have a soft spot though for Althletic Bilbao, fucking love the Basques.
  10. Yep, from I can see you don't need to do much with the Sammy, it's a little beauty isn't it? You know you can get 1000GB SSDs now. Samsung's is about £360 - £380 http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Storage/SSDs/300GB+-+1TB+SSD/1TB+Samsung+840+EVO+Series+2.5%22+SATA+6GB%2Fs+%28SATA-III%29+Solid+State+Drive+SSD+?productId=56768 Awesome.
  11. lol I thought it was a character in Deus Ex that I hadn't remembered
  12. I've played about 30 minutes so far, I'm liking it
  13. I'm in need of some advice. Seems to be conflicting on the interwebz. Now, I know that defragging is a no no when it comes to SSDs. That's about the sum total of my knowledge for tidying/housekeeping my hard-drive. Does anyone have any advice for clearing away the clutter? I'm a novice with these things.
  14. Sad bastard that I am I went and purchased it....as if I already don't have about 50 games not yet played Cheers!
  15. Rich - you the man (especially after saying nice things about the pc...) x edit: lol just realised I quoted myself, daft bastard
  16. I played Deus Ex on my xbox360 when it came out. I thought it was a quality well-made game apart from the crappy boss fights. I haven't played it since I completed it but that video makes me want to get on it again. Top bananas.
  17. The main thing for me is to be able edit PC game footage and then to be able to put on youtube in 1080p. I want to be a bit imaginative and have the ability to overlay music or voice tracks ontop of the recording. I also want to be able to add text e.g I bring up a map in-game. On the video I want to be able to draw on that map a path or write some information. I want to use decent software that isn't overly laborious that isn't too expensive and does what I want simply and without fuss. I'll try and catch up with you over the weekend Rich. I bought a decent PC end of August and making vids was one of the reasons my better half allowed me it in the first place so it's about time I got my arse in gear.
  18. Note to self. Do not read Diddums posts when at work surrounded by people with no sense of humour.
  19. Or that it's April 1st
  20. He'd ace the topic Altis Life if it was allowed on Mastermind. Just don't get in a vehicle with him
  21. ^^ lol The only thing with Adobe is that you have to be logged into their servers to use their premier software, the bastards, have to create an adobe id and all sorts....we'll see...
  22. I've never used Vegas but it gets name-checked a lot. Being a virgin to this kind of thing I appreciate the advice, I'm glad I asked I'll have a look at Adobe Premiere, the Elements 12 edition looks affordable.
  23. I only recently started playing this Arma 3 mod recently, it's a seriously good laugh. I've been playing with Aitchy and Dylan has shown us some of the ropes, which has been very useful, cheers Dylan. We play on the Blackwing servers and they're quite well organised. I'm having so many funny encounters I think I'm going to start recording properly for the first time....anyone know where to get Sony Vegas on the cheap???
  24. Nice one, Saturday or Sunday is good for me, I can be free whenever's good!
