(Best read in Forrest Gump voice) I was running...
Plumbers Crack and one other reacted to Docwagon for a topic
I broke 330 miles for the year this week. I'm at 336.6 miles for 2014, and I'd set my goal at 360 for the year. Last month was low mileage due to illness, weather, and family outings, I ended up with less miles than any month other than January. This month I'm back on it, though. Now if I could just lose some weight. I've lost body fat, but my actual weight hasn't changed much. I'd rather have muscle than fat, don't get me wrong, but my knee doesn't know or care how the weight is stacked. If I'm to go as long as possible without a replacement, I need to lose some actual tonnage. I've been stuck in the 240's most of the year. I guess I'm going to have to start lifting again, too. I wanted to get my weight down and then start lifting, but I've been at this weight too long and need to change it up a bit.2 points -
Cannot load YouTube videos on apple devices...

I've been having trouble with YouTube last few days. It's definitely not my PC connection. Some videos seem to take ages to load and buffer throughout - I haven't seen 'buffering' since 2010 I think it's possibly an issue with the site. Funny how these premium 'hipster' videos work right off the bat but random uploaders content seems to stall. YouTube is a fucking mess of money and commercial bullshit these days and it wouldn't surprise me if the severs are being stretched to oblivion.2 points -
Are you sure it was dangerous and not careless? I know someone who went through this recently, she was sentenced in May and got double the community service and more than double the driving ban for death by careless driving. Dangerous driving would have been a custodial sentence in her case but the reduced careless charge was accepted. Anyway, my view for what it's worth. I originally thought this was the car driver's fault, until I found out the biker was going 97mph. Originally when I saw it I didn't even consider he was going that fast as I thought the video was to do with drivers being more considerate to bikers (which I'm for) but 97mph is just ridiculous and puts, not just yourself at risk but others as well. Bikes aren't always easy to see and it might be easy to make a misjudgement when you're not aware someone is going almost 100mph towards you. I'm all for drivers being more considerate for bikers as they are far more vulnerable to getting hurt, even at much slower speeds but this isn't what I took from the video. Slow down. It didn't have to be a bike in this clip, it could easily have been a car and the damage to passengers could have been the same, or worse (both parties could have been killed). If you speed like that then you make yourself more vulnerable to other people's mistakes. Slowing down doesn't get rid of the amount of idiots on the road but at least it gives you a better chance of surviving if it does happen. The whole video freaked me out a little. Watching him just driving and overtaking, and probably loving every minute of it, and then all of a sudden that second when the car pulled out on him and you heard his yelp just freaked me out. You could be gone so quickly. Scary stuff.1 point

Fatal motorcycle accident

Completely the riders fault imo. The driver probably sees him but thinks he is respecting the speed limit and thinks he has plenty of time. Pisses me off when these kind of bikers use the road as their own race track without any regard of others.1 point -

Thanks! Tbf if I can do it it can't be that difficult! They have the exact same clip/connection on the rear of the stick... Can't tell from the picture so much, but there is a stalk that just clips into the centre of the thumbstick...1 point -

Fatal motorcycle accident

As a motorcyclist I'd say it's a least two thirds the fault of the rider. The driver may well have seen him and misjudged his speed. Had been going the speed limit, the car would have safely made its turn. I also paused the video right as the car is seen to start turning, and there was a healthy distance the rider could have used to stop or evade had he not been going so fast. As a rider it is incumbent upon us to recognize that we are difficult to see and dangerously exposed. When I ride, I do so with a constant tactical scan, observing all, anticipating what other vehicles might do, and putting myself in a position to avoid potential disaster.1 point -

So I replaced the R2 trigger, it's now good as new. Replaced the right analog so that the kontrol freek sits tighter on there again. Replaced the left analog stick with an Xbox one analog stick... The Xbox one stick is taller which is why I got it, it's taller than standard but not as tall as standard with kontrol freek: This is how it is with kontrol freek: Not played with it yet, literally just done it. It seems very comfortable by just holding it... Hoping I get less aches on my left thumb from now on...1 point -

The Old Man and the Sea by Hemingway is a great read and a total classic. I read it for the first time last summer and loved it. Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer is a true story look at what the movie was based on and very moving with things that were true yet not in the movie, great read. Walden by Henry David Thoreau is a good read. I'm about 60% done with that one. Good read, but be warned, it's written in old English style (1800's) and a bit hard of a read, but good.1 point
