I've been thinking back over the games I've put the most time into over say the past year, and they're co-op games. First Mass Effect 3 multiplayer and now Warframe (which has to be the most underrated PS4 exclusive and is well worth buying the console for, IMO. But I digress). I've put more hours into those two than into either Ghosts or BF4, possibly combined. I had a six day weekend last week and, other than an hour or so of Arkham City, didn't play anything but Warframe. I thought about putting in BF4, but never did. Before I could hardly wait until the next chance I'd get to play CoD or BF. Now I just have so much more fun in co-op games. The rush from working with your teammates to beat a tough mission is better than anything I've experienced playing a PvP game, no matter how good of a score I've pulled off. I spent lots of time playing BO2, and often I'd stop myself and realize I wasn't really enjoying it, I just kept playing because it was the "thing to do". I very rarely rage playing a good co-op game, while in CoD or BF I'm frustrated probably more often than not. Seeing people talk on here it seems like I'm not the only one, but people keep playing anyway. The game I'm far and away most looking forward to is Destiny: more co-op goodness (yes, it'll have PvP but I can't really picture myself playing it more than once in a while), while the only MP game that attracts me at all is Star Wars Battlefront. The point of all that is...well, I guess there is no point, I just wanted to talk about it. I'm sure I'll fire up BF4 once in a while, but it's no longer my "go-to" game and I can't see myself getting an MP game on release anytime soon.

So I had a guy shot today in an attempt car jacking. He calls 911, gets put on hold (yeah, seriously) and drives himself to the hospital since he's close. I ask for uniform guys to go check the area he said it happened and try to find a crime scene. Often people who drive themselves to the hospital were either shot doing criminal activity or shot themselves, etc. and are trying to cover it up, so I want to check his story. They say they can't find a crime scene. I interview the guy and he seems legit. The bullet had taken a downward trajectory through his leg and had exited, and he said the suspect used a gun like a Glock. I grab an evidence tech and go out to the scene for myself. I do a grid search and find a disturbance in the grass that looks fresh, a hole with a small mound of dirt. I ask the ET if he has a shovel and he says no (and, really, why would he?) so I ask a neighbor on the porch if he has a shovel we can borrow. He lends us a spade. 5" down is a pristine bullet, rifling marks intact, absolutely gorgeous. ET photos and collects it. Based on the direction of where I knew the suspects approached from, the fact the vast majority of handguns eject to the right and back, and the location of the hole, I did a second grid search for the spent casing. The ET had already checked that area and given up, saying how amazing it was I'd found the bullet. I said "you can't find what you don't look for" and about 2 seconds later, found the casing. It was an aluminum case and blended it really well with the pavement color. It may or may not lead to an arrest, depending on if we can find a gun or get a NIBIN hit, but it felt pretty damned awesome to find it, especially the bullet in the ground.

Cannot wait for E3 this year! Last year was amazing with the new consoles but this one will be showcasing many up and coming games that we didn't see last time around. I've done a bit of research on what to expect and whilst there isn't much confirmed as of yet; there is plenty to look forward to. Confirmed games on show: Alien Isolation Call of Duty Destiny Dragon Age Inquisition Legend of Zelda (Wii U) Sim City 4 Uncharted 4 Expected to be there but not yet confirmed: Assassins Creed Unity Batman Arkham Knight Civilization Beyond Earth The Evil Within Evolve Far Cry 4 Game of Thrones Gears of War 4 Halo 5 Mass Effect 4 Mirrors Edge 2 The Order 1886 The Sims 4 Star Wars Battlefront The Division Tales From Boderlands The Witcher 3 Ubisoft have stole the show last couple of years with Watch Dogs and The Division and I'm hoping to see more of the latter at the show. 1 trailer and a few screenshots is all that's been seen since last summer but I really hope we get some new footage of the Division once again. Far Cry 4 is a strong candidate to appear and I can't wait to see this in its next gen glory. Looks like the Witcher 3 has been delayed considerably but it is expected to make an appearance so any disillusioned fans can sleep easy. I also can't wait to see if Battlefront will be there with Frostbite 3 under its belt. Seeing Naughty Dog there with U4 as one of the first games to be confirmed will just strengthen the PS4's early dominance but no doubt the Xbox gamers will be pleased to see GOW4 and Halo 5 on the horizon. Hope Mass Effect 4 makes an appearance also but it's too quiet in the Bioware camp as of yet. Could be a big year for the ever-growing Telltale Games too. Lots more to be confirmed and I expect a few big surprises too! Roll on June 10th is all I can say

I love the organtisation of this site and the presentation. It looks simple but there is much depth and tidiness to the threads. I've seen some forums which remind me of phone switchboards where you have to go through 100 things to find what you want. FG is brilliant and I am chuffed to be a member on here It's quietened down on the DayZ subforum for instance but it may very well pick up again as the game is ongoing. GTA V is probably the one that could be replaced for something else in the future but as long as we don't have a subforum for every game and just have a small amount for the current and popular ones; I think it works very well as it is.

I wasn't very excited at all about Ghosts. I was burnt out on CoD after MW3, but continued with BO2 (and enjoyed it), but by the time I started playing Ghosts... I was done. I've put a lot of hours into CoD: 2, 3, MW, WaW, MW2, BO, MW3, and then BO2... so I was just burnt out on the franchise and even FPS games in general. I barely played Ghosts at all, so I've been away from the scene for a while now. I'm getting interested in it again, but I wouldn't say I'm excited. The game might be great, but if the connection issues persist, then I just can't be bothered to waste anymore time with this franchise.

I usually take a break from MP games now and again largely to do with the community and the general repetitiveness that comes with the likes of BF4 and COD. I've put in quite a lot of time on BF4 of late and had a real blast but I've kinda played it to death lately and a few outstanding issues plus some dickhead admins has put me off for the time being. I lost the buzz for COD Ghosts before Xmas and despite trying to get back into it; the community has died a death on PC and I didn't have a great experience on the game either. Titanfall was epic at first and despite putting in a fair few hours this week; it's lost that special feel and I've pretty much seen all there is to see. I'll play it now and again but I don't think I could have a long session on there like I used to on the early Call of Duty games. Decent community but somewhat lacking depth. I have lots of games in my Steam Library untouched and plenty of titles that I want to get back into. I'm hoping to finally start Diablo III next week and go through System Shock 2 too at some point. Can't wait to pick DayZ back up also; it may have a PVP aspect but you can meet some decent people on there which is brilliant this this day and age of douchbaggery online. I think playing many FPS games has taken its toll and idiots within the gaming community who ruin experiences in MP games don't help either. I used to play COD for long periods and sometimes too much to the point I'd be raging and not enjoying it but still continued to play and get more pissed off. Games are meant to be fun and I've learned now more than ever that if you're not having an enjoyable experience on a game; have a break from it and enjoy something else.

I like it. When I started playing Minecraft there wasn't many people posting but I didn't need to dig through a big forum to find all of the loose threads. The fact that it was all in one place made it easier for me. I'm sure the organization has helped others here and not just myself.

That's amazing fun for 10 seconds, and then you realize it needs boobs to hold your attention any further. Nipple pointer, it could be the next big thing.

Just a thought, but with the relatively low volume of traffic here, do we really need so many sub-forums in the game section? Some of the game specific subforums have maybe half a dozen threads and go days or weeks without any new post. Maybe streamline it a bit and just have "shooter" "RPG" and "other", maybe a CoD specific subforum, but merge the others?

Im very much the same at the moment, the last 2 CODs for me have been abysmal... BO2 was because of connection issues, mainly my own ISP... It ruined my experience. Ghosts, just killed it for me and I've just been playing FIFA, dead nation, runescape and warframe since... Thing is I want to play games like COD again, I miss the competition, even the banter... Ghosts just has something about it that gets me so wound up I just dare not put the disc in anymore, I want to but keep stopping myself... I really have my fingers crossed for this years upcoming games, COD and The division mainly to get me back into that competitive style of game..

Not pumped whatsoever. Wasn`t pumped for Ghosts and was only semi pumped for BO2. I like the thought about an arcade shooter like COD but they do to much with it. Too many options, too much shit that "noobs" take advantage of and no one seem to be able to make it good regarding connections and stuff. Wish/hope they go more back to basics with none or few killstreaks, no deathstreaks and balanced weapons. I like to unlock stuff through challenges though to keep me interested in playing on.

Yeah, old habits of the franchise that still exist annoy me. For Instance Treyarch>good games, shit connection - Infinity Ward>shit games, good connection. A happy medium off the bat would be a massive plus for me getting back into it.

Just out of interest; how is everyone pumped for the new COD? I'm just not feeling the buzz tbh. A few years ago I'd probably have a permanent erection this time of the year constantly refreshing google just for any leaks or new info about anything but with the impending release imminent; I could not give a monkeys toss in all honesty. I'm partly interested to see what SHG can do but I dunno if Ghosts has put me off the franchise or if I'm just tired of it as a whole. Either way; I hope it shapes up well and I can get back into the series with a quality game.

Count me as one of the few as well. The first 3 were solid, but after that they were just meh...

I definitely need to go to Eurogamer this year. Has anyone on here been before? I think we should club together a few people and pop on down there. I think it's usually hosted somewhere in London and tickets are easy to come by and free/cheap. E3 is the big one though and I this year should be quality!

The games I'm looking forward to the most: The Division Dragon Age CoD Far Cry 4

Not sure but the Game of Thrones that will be showcased is from Telltale Games who made The Walking Dead. They are also showing off Tales From Borderlands too. They've come along way in the last year so both these games are worth keeping an eye on too. One of the few developers who don't produce cheap cash-in games for easy money!

I read that in Destiny, just 1 location in the game is the size of the entire Halo Reach game! This game is gonna be huge!! As a once loyal 360 gamer; I must have been one of the few that thought Halo was a bit overrated. I found the first couple unique and Halo 3 was a brilliant multiplayer experience but Reach and 4 were very linear and dull. I think Microsoft held Bungie back along with the console itself but now they are more independent and working with much improved hardware; they can really go to town on Destiny and showcase their brilliant development skills without being tied to stupid time scales and dated systems. The only disappointment is this isn't on PC which is annoying but I look forward to getting this on PS4.

Yeah, most of the time playing with randoms just turns into a race, which is annoying. I just need a couple more components and I'll be able to build Rhino.

They were alright today... Not sure if Giggs looks right in a suit though... Romney with a nice couple today, let's hope he goes on a run and keep his confidence high for the next couple of games, with less than 50 days until Brazil it can only be a good thing to have our strikers scoring goals and looking good...

Some more progress on the yard/bonsai garden over the past few days. Still a ways to go but it's starting to take shape now.

Good work Steve, I'm a similar age 44 and I wish I'd started on the healthy eating and more structured exercise along time ago, at this time I'm trying to pass some of the ideas to my kids.

Think that says something about Microsoft that Bungie has jumped ship to Sony. Also funny how the Xbox fanboys have gone from saying how amazing it will be to now saying it's a cheap Halo rip off. Either way, super excited to get my hands on the beta when it comes out! The jelly Xbone players can enjoy their Titanfall.
