Many people are reporting serious issues with the new Siege update corrupting hard drives and causing software issues. The issue seems to stem from trying to invite friends from in-game, but that is not yet confirmed.

If possible, do NOT download the update.

If you have downloaded it, do NOT launch Siege until further information is available.

If for some reason you still want to play, do NOT, under any circumstance, try to invite players to your party.

To my knowledge Matt has passed this onto the team, but I'm unsure if they know the extent of the problem yet.

Please share this information with any of your Siege buddies.

If your console is bricked, then getting a replacement may be an issue. While this appears to be a Ubisoft patch gone wrong, Sony did approve it on their system. Just hope that your warranty is still in place.

Thanks Bruce. I may not even attempt to go near this in some time now, don't want to ruin my hard drive. Cheers.
