phil bottle 9,743
Looking to go to University in then next year or two? Kickass at Overwatch? Pay attention to this, then - an American university is now offering financial support to students who kick ass at Overwatch! According to ESPN, the University of California Irvine (UCI) is expanding its esports scholarship. Last year it took the interesting step of offering financial support to League of Legends experts, and now it’s expanding to include players we are amazing at Overwatch now, too, given “it’s one of the most popular games at UCI and in the general esports world”. "We are very excited to take this next step in growing our scholarship program for top gamers who are also strong students and great members of our community," said Mark Deppe, acting director of UCI esports. "We look forward to connecting the excitement generated by our competitive teams to advance efforts along our other pillars: Academics, Community and Entertainment." http://www.mtv.co.uk/overwatch/news/overwatch-university-scholarship Dave may finally get an education Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/4622-a-university-is-offering-scholarships-to-overwatch-players/ Share on other sites

tronic44 3,642
Fair play, can't imagine they'll give out a lot of them, plus gives people the chance to go to uni who may not of been able to. As long as they're learning and not just about Overwatch.
