Rainbow Six Siege has had an incredible year of content, and we appreciate every single one of you who have championed the game since launch and before. The community is the reason why this game is stronger than ever entering Year 2, and we are excited to share details about what is to come in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Year 2, and the Year 2 Pass.

In Year 2, Team Rainbow will be deployed to Spain, Hong Kong, Poland, and South Korea. We’ll be introducing four new maps in these countries, with 8 new Operators from brand new CTU’s. As you can see in the road map below, Year 2 follows a similar format having four seasons with one free map and two Operators releasing each season.

Additionally, if you owned the Year 1 Season Pass, you will receive a bonus 600 R6 Credits on top of the 600 that comes with the Year 2 Pass.

I'm super glad they have supported the game with another season pass. It will be exciting to see what the new operators will be like.

Just for the fact the game has been fantastic and with free well designed updates with justified rationale coming regularly, I'll look to pick this up just to support the game developers.

An Ubisoft game that has exceeded most people's expectations. Who'd have thought it?

Are the DLCs paid for DLCs?

I was under the impression that the DLCs were not necessary. They gave you access to stuff earlier but did not need to be purchased.

I'm thinking about getting this game or Titan Fall.  I did get MWR with my PS4 purchase. I don't see myself playing the regular game however. Tired of overwatch and I didn't like BF1 that much in the beta so I might skip it.

How many people do we have playing and when? Being on the USA west coast might be a problem to play with you guys

There's a good bunch who play, Rib will play you any place any time any where :)

Lee plays, Stetch, Dids, Euan, Crispy and occasionally Rich. I plan to be on more over the hols too. It's a really great game and the DLC is worth a purchase.

A few folk are starting to pick up Titanfall 2 too so keep an eye out for that.

Personally I've really been enjoying the Division again but that's solo as not many others still have or play it.

  • The game has a season pass. The season pass gives you a seven day exclusive use of new operators before they go public; you also get new operators for "free."
  • If you do not have the season pass any new operator release will cost 25,000 renown (in game free currency). You earn on average 150 renown a match, not including your daily challenges.
  • All maps are free and released at the same time, the only benefit to the season pass is you don't have to wait and you don't need to spend renown.
  • Lee, Rich, Stretch, Chrispy, Hamza, Diddums, Tam, Euan, Phil, Ron and I have the game.
  • PST may be a difficult time zone. We tend to play mid day between 2:00 - 5:00 pm central time. I generally don't play in the evening or on weekends.
  • This game has one of the harshest learning curves.

The pass is absolutely not necessary, and you can still keep playing with your friends if they get it.  It has a steep learning curve, and as we found out yesterday, a very perishable skillset.
