Sennex 1,903
So, my Left Stick started pulling to the right on me. It is to the point that if I just sit the controller down, my characters will walk randomly to the right. Unless I pull to the left first and then slowly ease it back to center. Which is just flippin weird. I know you can fix the trigger buttons, as I have had to fix my R 1 and R2 buttons a few times now to reseat them, but do you guys know if you can take apart and fix the Sticks? Luke 23:34 'And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't think it be like it is, but it do." Sennex 1,903
just now having a chance to research this properly If it is only the stick, then I can replace it using this video as a guide If its the assembly sensors underneath, then I am fucked Luke 23:34 'And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't think it be like it is, but it do." The stick or the sensor assembly? The stick is easy, yea, the video I linked above shows that it is maybe a 10 minute process Luke 23:34 'And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't think it be like it is, but it do." Diddums 4,346
I had a similar issue. Logged on to Sony's website, filled in the no. on the back of the joystick and they said they'd fix it FOC. Also, the sensors are a bitch to replace and will involve soldering, or "soddering" as the muricans seem to call it. crippled_viper 258
If it's the analog sensor which the thumbstick sits on; that can be easily replaced. It's just a matter of taking the time to desolder it and have a new one to replace it. I believe Fasttech.com has the replacement components. I'll double check. Checked.....and they don't have them. I thought they did. Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/3118-controller-broke-possibly/#findComment-72698 Share on other sites
Sennex 1,903
Yea, if it is the sensor then I need to send it to Sony, at least according to my research. I found a program for PC that allows you to use any controller on PC, which is fine, but one of the things it does that isn't really mentioned anywhere, is it allows you to test deadspots. I have about a .5-1 cm deadspot on my left analog. Oh well, going to keep chugging along on Fallout 4 and the PS3 for now. Luke 23:34 'And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't think it be like it is, but it do."
