Is Ghosts worth buying now?

Personally I thought the actual gameplay of Ghosts was better than BO2. The thing that made me lose interest was the progression system, or lack thereof. The squad points system made it too easy to unlock everything so I never felt like I was working towards anything.

I really want them to remake Blops2 for the PS4, easily my favourite cod so far. In terms of Ghosts, i'm not too sure, i think Bees still plays it occasionally.

There's a petition out there for MW2 on new gen. I'd buy that so fast if they actually did it!

I think BO2 still gets over 300,000 on the 360 sometimes which is a terrific achievement especially considering Ghosts didn't even get that kind of figure on day one. I know quite a few people who have boxed their XB1's and got the 360 back out just to play it. I doubt very many, if any people still play Ghosts and for me it's one of the worst games I've ever purchased. Even at peak; Ghosts barely got 6-figures and it was below 25,000 most of the time on the XB1 with even more playing Battlefield 4!

I bet even today; more people are playing BO2 than AW. I defo just stick with BO2 - I didn't like it at first but the DLC really made it a sublime package overall.

I still play Ghosts. Much better game then Bo2 and AW in my eyes, which seems contrary to what most think :P

Kind of similar to how MW2 and Mw3 played. Not hitmarker heaven like BO and BO2 or exo asshattery like AW.

I really wish they would just do a purely MP game where Treyarch takes all of the maps they ever did, puts them on a disc and lets us go nuts.

We don't really need a campaign at this point.

I just have no idea what weapon systems I would want in the game, I prefered BL1 weapons as well as MW3's to most other CoD's

I'd like to see something like 'The Call of Duty Collection' from the old gen remastered. All those games on one disc would be heaven and I'd happily pay over the odds for it. They wouldn't need to make another COD game for 6 years. Sadly the way Activision have formatted themselves with the studios and their watertight annual release palava; I can't see it happening. If it did and it represented the same quality as the original games but touched-up; it would probably be the most successful videogame package ever that would last for an eternity.

China has COD Online which fuses COD4, MW2 and Black Ops all into 1 game and it is epic rolling with an AC130 on Nuketown - sadly we get lumbered with their new breed of games that just cannot live up to the quality the series once held.

....so...maybe?

Honestly it comes down to if you like the MW series or BO series. Ghosts isn't like any of them but it's closer to the MW series. You die quick and you kill quick, there's multiple weapons in all classes that work well and the killstreak system is the same as MW3 with Assault, Support and Specialist.

And let's face it, even the people who hated the game can't say they didn't love the friggin Honey Badger :P

The only things I don't like about this game is how easy it is to camp, successfully. Throw down an I.E.D. cover the other side with your silenced LMG with thermal scope. If you would be willing to dish out a few extra dollars pick up the Ripper. It's the only gun I've found on the game that can compete with the Honey Badger. They both do well regardless of range and the damage they dish out is also great.

You will rage a lot, but it's also a lot of fun.

I didn't enjoy the MW3 campaign, it ended way to abruptly for me and was sort of anti-climatic

Once I got used to the MP side of things though, I really ended up enjoying it

Did you play MW1 or WAW?

Just curious, I didn't end up playing it much, but MW3 did remind me of the maps for WAW and MW1
