SMG success?

Are you guys having any success with the SMGs? I seem to be losing all gun fights to ARs with trying to use them.

Yes, but keep close quarters. At range, they're useless. They seem to have balanced them pretty nice.

They don't seem to be all powerful like previous years...

In tight spots though they definatly excel as they should, hipfiring also seems a lot better with them...

My favourite so far is the mp11, although you can't use it very long as it burns ammo...

I like the sounds of this. SMGs are meant to be close range weapons, for longer range you have ARs and LMGs. As an AR lover, I'm glad they're competent again, and not having to resort to using an SMG to be relevant.

Same here man.  I've always been an AR guy, but have felt forced to use SMG's in a lot of CoDs.

AR's seem to be the name of the game, other weapons have their niches, but AR's are pretty dominant.

 

I'll probably use SMG's a lot more in S&D where the fights are small and close quarters.

The SN6 is a very powerful SMG I've found. Not the best on paper by the look of things but even on larger maps; it can be effective. AR's are the dominant force of this game though

Yeah, SMGs are tricky.

I guess I like the fact that you can't use a SMG as a one-size-fits-all fix to any situation like in previous CoDs.

Foregrip and Laser, then you just run and gun and hip fire. I have had really decent luck doing this. I was using the SN6
