Sennex 1,903 Posted June 4, 2014 Author Share Posted June 4, 2014 SEO is Search Engine Optimization Really basic explanation At the top of every page you can set a series of key words, or tags, that describe the page When search engines spider across your page, they are actively look at all the words that make up the page and then sorting out how to insert them into the search results. With those words clearly defined in the top portion of the code, the spider can see them, grab them, and then stop searching everything else. Without those words the spiders will typically STOP searching really quickly and move on. Ever notice how the bottom members listing on the site will show things like "Google", "Bing", "Yahoo", or sometimes "Bot" Those are the spiders crawling across the page.
